Thanks guys. We’re heading to Tamassa in July on a 7 night all inclusive break. Your vlog is the best review of the resort I’ve seen. Looking forward to it even more now - great job! 🙂👏
Tamassa is in a really good part of the island because it’s not too far from black river gorges national park and Chamarel where you have the waterfall and 7 coloured earth. The best way to see this is to hire a taxi driver for the day (really reasonable price) and they will take you too all the spots :) you should also do an island boat hopping trip, It doesn’t actually have a name I don’t think but we have done a video on it, if that’s your kind of thing! So much to see and do in Mauritius which is what we love about it :)
We are planning for our honeymoon and are a bit confused between Tamassa and Outrigger. Would love to have your inputs. Also, what is the situation with mosquitoes?
The outrigger I believe is next door to the Tamassa but haven’t stayed at the outrigger. We had our wedding and honeymoon at the Tamassa and had a great time :) I (Ellie) am prone to mosquito bites where ever we go so I did get bitten in Mauritius but believe it’s Zika free :)
Hi, I enjoyed your video however, we have booked room only, you didn’t give those who are not on all inclusive any idea of prices of meals or drinks 😢. Also would have been nice of you to have an idea of the location and what is outside the hotel. Be to know
Hi, we didn’t realise you could book room only at this hotel. We stayed at this hotel in 2018 on all inclusive. You can hire a driver for the day (reasonably priced) and they can take you around the island which I’d recommend if you’re not hiring a car!
Loved video and information. I booked this accommodation for September. I was worried about the location, and apparently, it's cooler there in September. What's standard rooms like? Other option I was looking at is further north around Balaclava. Any suggestions for there please? Or is it better to stay in Tamassa. We are also looking at booking a car. Happy for any😊😊 suggestions 😊😊
The tamassa is lovely it’s in a good location to be able to hire a taxi driver for the day and you can explore black river gorges national park, chamarel waterfall, 7 coloured earth easily from the tamassa :) I can’t comment on the weather sorry as we have only ever been in December. Would recommend hiring a car it’s great to be able to exlore at your own pace :) Standard rooms are still lovely we stayed in a standard room in 2018.
@James & Ellie's Adventures thank you so much for your information. You made my descion easy. Tamassa it is. Sorry one last question do you think break up the accommodation to 2 different location to cover different part of the island or easy enough to drive around to see it all. Thank you so much. Have great holiday 😀 😃
We absolutely loved splitting our stay so I would definitely recommend that. It easy enough to drive around the island but it’s nice to stay on different parts of the island :)
Thanks dude 😎 honestly there’s hardly any coral on Tamassa beach the neighbouring hotels have quite a lot but Tamassa get theirs picked up so it’s one of the better beaches out of the hotels on the strip 😬 I’m the same as you I can’t stand it, it’s like Lego underfoot 😅 but it’s gorgeous honestly don’t let it out you off 😎
Thank you for your video. I'm surprised to see, in your video as in all the others, that we never, I repeat never, see anyone swimming at the edge of the hotel beach. It would seem, from what I've read in the few negative comments, that there are sea urchins and sharp rocks as you enter the sea. The hotel is undoubtedly very good according to the majority of the comments on the forums, but to fly dozens of hours just to swim (possibly) in a pool .... I think is a pointless waste of a lot of money.
You’re welcome :) When we filmed this video it was very early in the morning (breakfast time) and most people were still at breakfast. We actually stayed at this hotel in 2018 and we didn’t swim in the pools once we always were in the sea. Yes there are some sea urchins but there are sea urchins mostly everywhere in Mauritius. We always wear sea shoes and never had a problem :) the current can be quite strong in the sea but that and the sea urchins didn’t put us off swimming in the sea at all. I hope this helps :)
@@JamesandElliesAdventures I can’t find the activities that you done when you were in this hôtel, can you tell us please ? (Activies out of the hotel for sure)
@@SerennaJgc we went to La Vanille nature park, chamarell waterfall, 7 coloured earth, chamarell view point, botanical gardens and several different beaches etc :)

We stayed at the Westin by Turtle bay which was lovely :)
