I was one of the BYU fans who was thinking “you shouldn’t count on us” whenever you said we had to take over and represent for the Big 12. After today’s win, I now fully believe in us. No more cynicism, we are making the playoffs this season!

Stay humble, BYU barely won against a team that's 3-3. Now isn't the time to get hyped, it's the time to reflect on what went wrong, and improve. I'm just getting into sports. So I don't know what has to be done to make it to the payoffs, I'm guessing going undefeated, or close to it.

Here’s what I don’t get: If you’re doing that play, you have three skill position guys who play a ton and can actually throw a decent ball: LJ Martin, Chase Roberts, Parker Kingston. And instead we ran it with Ropati.
When trick plays work the coach is a genius, when they fail the coach is an idiot. Arod has run a ton of them this year with the majority being successful. Give him his props.

I was in Albuquerque in 84. Small family just starting and I too watched as 3 or 4 teams would loose including Barry Switzer. And they would get jumped by other teams with one or 2 losses. Untill the very end. When even logic took over and the pollsters couldn't hide the hate. The reason the BCS was created was to make double pinky promise wink wink. That BYU. Boise st. And Utah. Would never take alabamas and Oklahoma or Texas trophy again ask urban Myer. NEVER. even if referees are involved. Case in point. Watch the 84 holiday. Bowl. Line of scrimmage. Michigan is touching boscoe and the ball isn't even snapped. They beat the crap outa Robby. Utah was denied. But won their dance post season undefeated. And Boise State did too. No prom queen. OKU Offensive Coordinator played a chess match with Jay Hill and won most the game. Darius Lassiter dropped 1-2 and I was just about done with him. How the cougs pulled this out is crazy. Go cougs!
I wasn't even mad when OK State took the lead with a minute left. The cynicism I've accumulated from the last 15 years just made me accept it was over. This year really is different. Something special is happening.
i haven't see so much confusion this year. it was crazy how they were running around, pointing waving their arms, etc. a good learning experience and better when you don't have to lose to get it... ;-)
Wow. As a Coug fan, I have to admit I thought the Cowboys had this game locked up. The Coug offensive was horribly inconsistent, and our play calling was garbage at times. Retzlaff really saved the day after having a relatively bad outing. Kudos to the Cougs for finding a way.
You aren't acquainted with BYU yet. I've seen so many 1-minute scores that when Oklahoma State left them 1:13, I thought to myself "This gives BYU plenty of time for their hurry-up offense." I saw them score 21 points to win with just over 2 minutes left in '81. And since. They practice this. The 'hurry up offense' is rehearsed. And BYU made a lot of mistakes tonight giving Oklahoma lots of chances, WHICH OKLAHOMA TOOK ADVANTAGE OF. Don't tell us OK is having a bad year, because they came to play tonight--look at their conversions on 3rd and 4th downs. Ran 8 minutes off the clock on their final drive. Admittedly, BYU is having a good season, but the finish was something BYU can do.😊 So glad BYU will get to play teams like Oklahoma State every year now. It'll only make them better. Hope O.S. enjoyed coming to Provo anyway.
I think ppl aren’t mentioning this is the best plays we have seen from OK St all year …. And while our defense struggled and made mistakes … our offense came out and made up for those mistakes. Go cougs!!!!
OKS had insane play disguise. BYUs defense didnt play all that great, but oks was hiding their plays really well. BYU also threw 2 picks in the redzone which didnt help at all
OK state played their best game of the season. Completely redone offense off of the bye week. Had BYU on its heels the whole game. Jay hill will.learn and tighten things up. BYU relied on its offense today. As nerve racking as it is, this game gave me more confidence in BYU going forward.
I've been to some incredible BYU games (Harlene is still open), and my dad's been to even more (including the 1980 holiday bowl). I'm not necessarily saying this game belongs on the same tier as those games, but when Lassiter scored that last touchdown and the stadium erupted, the energy was the same. What a great game to watch.
Drake I've been really hard on our coach. But the last 76 seconds I saw everything come together. And Darius was hurt. Roberts save a 4th down. I'm 66 years old it's midnight way past my bedtime lol. I felt like I was 20 years old watching the great one. Nooooo. Just a glimpse. But old ghosts of a 1980 holiday bowl snuck in my mind. Maybe just maybe Jake is a baller. But he's not jim McMahon. But for 76 seconds last nite. I felt that old feelings we used to feel all the time. When we wanted our team to play Barry Switzer and shut his mouth. Rise and shout. The cougars are out. ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
That game will be the cause of my divorce. I was yelling at the tv so much my wife had to go hide in the bathroom. BYU could not stop the QB run, or any other run for that matter, they couldn’t tackle for squat, Joe Biden could have run for 200 against the cougars tonight. Really, I just can’t watch this stuff anymore I said so many times, BYU seemed DETERMINED to lose that game, with 73 seconds left I said that’s it, special season is over. But Rezlaff and Lassiter simply willed a miracle, it was the ghost of 1981 holiday bowel, everything had to be perfect and it was. I still can’t believe it. I never want to watch another game like that, my marriage can’t survive it. Stunning finish. BYU D got destroyed and they still won. Unreal. All the D stats got thrown out the window, but the cougars are 7-0 after a game they “should have” lost. They are again, the cardiac cougars
