    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  Год назад +1

      You want to sand to prep for proper adherence and longevity. If you use a plastic cup and it sweats, it can lift the paint, adhesive and ultimately, the epoxy. Stainless double walled is best.

      well considering it's fully sealed in epoxy resin, I'd say it could last forever if you took care of it.

    How did you apply the black thin band around the pink glittered cup

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  3 года назад

      Cut a piece of vinyl into a strip measured 11.5”x.15” and just apply it along the line of your design once it’s smooth

    Every time I vinyl wrap it’s never straight. Any tips on how to keep the vinyl from slanting while wrapping?

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  3 года назад

      what kind of cup are you wrapping?? the biggest part to that is making sure your initial line of contact with the vinyl is totally straight on the cup to start with plenty of overhang on the top and bottom

      Fully epoxied cups can crack if you drop them hard enough. Not always but it can

    Do you have to prep & paint a tumbler to apply vinyl ?

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  2 года назад

      You always prep your tumbler first. Paint depends on what you're going for but i always paint my tumblers.

    Thank you for another awesome video! When you did the quick glitter method for the half wrap vinyl did you tape off the vinyl portion? How soon after you epoxied did you pull the tape from it? Thank you! Can't wait to try out these techniques

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  4 года назад

      Jeanette Decker yes, I taped off the vinyl section, spray painted my base color again just to make sure it was good, then did the quick glitter, then pull tape after about 1.5 hours.

    What epoxy do you use, and does it require heating.

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  2 года назад +1

      Alumilite, it’s linked in the description box and it only requires about 70 degrees F in your work space
