- You are never gonna eat burger from the market once you taste this super healthy, extra super yummy burger. These burger buns are made from yellow moong dal which is full of nutrients. Just one bun itself (without patty or toppings) packs more than 13 grams of protein and lots of fiber. The veggie patty is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, protein, fiber and healthy carbs. Don't forget the cheese! In totality, the burger is a complete meal balanced package! Amazing!!

Ingredients for burger bun
Yellow moong dal 1 cup/200 gram
Ginger 1 inch piece
Green chili paste 2 tsp/Green chilis 2-3
Salt 3/4 tsp
Kashmiri Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/8 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp or as per choice
Baking soda, a pinch
Eno fruit salt 3/4 tsp
Water as required
Oil as required
Ingredients for patty
Boiled and cooled potatoes 3
Mini peppers 2
Chopped spinach 1/2 cup
Carrot 1 piece
Salt 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri Red chili powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/3 tsp
Coriander/cilantro powder 2 tsp heaped
Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Rice flour 2 tbsp/as required
Serving burger, ingredients as per choice

Poonam I want to try this ..I just wanted to check how long shoukd I ferment the batter since I do. Or have eno? And second is it ok for me to soak the dal overnight or only for 3-4 hours
Deepa, soaking dal for 3-4 hours is enough, do not soak overnight especially in the weather nowadays. You could ferment batter for approximately 8 hours or more till you see the batter risen.
Skip eno if using properly fermented batter.

Baking powder + baking soda is combination try kijiye.
1 teaspoon baking powder + 1/4 teaspoon baking soda + 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
Meine kabhi bhi Eno nahi kharida.
Kam ziada aapke hissab se kar le.

Hume jaali chahiye softness ke liye lekin dhokla ki tarah jaalidaar bhi nahi chahiye, thoda sa firm chahiye bread ke texture ki tarah, isilye kum eno. Aap iss recipe ke liye lemon juice 2 tablespoon kar ken, saath mei 1/4 teaspoon soda aur 1/2 teaspoon baking powder daal len.
Agar aap burger try karte hain tou apna feedback zaroor dijiyega. Thanks!

Baking powder and baking soda and lemon juice ka combination try kijiye, (1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda + 1 teaspoon lemon juice) ka combination try kijiye, kam ziada try kijiye Aapke results ke hisabh se (Meine kabhi bhi eno nahi kharida hai. Thoda sa farkh partha hoga leikin mere liye sahi hai. I can understand ke Eno ke bina hum pasand nahi karthe.
Poonam shayyad better idea suggest karegi.

@Raj Rani, I totally hear you dear in the last line!! In total agreement with you on everything you said! We pay eno company for something we already have at home. Eno is just a combination of soda and citric acid (which can be easily replaced by lemon juice from home)..there definitely is a little difference in results but I guess ghar ke liye theek hai.

Mam pls eno mat daalo na .... it is v unhealthy 🙏🏻 Thoda ferment kar lo batter ... achhe se phool kar ban jayega.... aaloo bhi boil mat karo ... steam em ... there will be no water in them 🙏🏻
