    I don't think this verbal annunciation stutter has anything to do with EPO…it's simply a second language blurring of what he was trying to say, which he gathered himself and said “I need special coach”. Even in that statement there is emphasis on the EEE P OO, in need, P in special and O of Coach, the predominant sounds of the component words. If you listen to him talk in general, he will often do this, and the Georgian language also has a lot of those kinds of sounds in speaking the language.

    Edit: im not 100% sure if hes clean or not but i think reason his cardio is so good, is because he was construction worker and he was working till he was completely sore and about to past out, beside that hes hard training and he has good gens, if you look other georgian ufc fighters they are though, durable and have fast recovery and heart.

Bro's cardio makes TJ's cardio(who actually tested positive for EPO) look McGregor's...you'd think he's tested more than anyone else for anything cus his cardio is insane. 2. Dana doesn't like him that much cus of the Aljo thing, I don't think he gives a shit about protecting him. 3. He's been living in the US all this while. He isn't an international fighter that's hard to find with regards to testing. And yes I know about Chael saying is hard to test blah blah....if TJ was caught, trust me they'd do their best to find Merab on something. And the guy has always been like this ever since he was in the ufc.😂

    Volk's cardio is as good if not better, however nobody is talking about that. He never looked tired against Makhachev in the first fight. He probably could go another 5 round and kill Islam. In general, he is one of those who outlasts every single opponent in 5 rounds.
    Keep in mind as well, English is 2nd language for Merab, he always says some weird stuff if u watch his interviews.
    p.s. In my opinion, if Merab is allowed to take EPO without other fighters complaining about it, that means 99% of them are also sitting on some juice. That's why all these big names are silent about it.

I thought guillotines fell under air chokes but I am wrong it's a blood choke. The question is could EPO be used in that way? Because if not then I'm talking complete shit but if so then at least there's something to at least question

    I’d suggest you go to More posted more dates and educate yourself on the topic and epo. Epo isn’t very hard to catch. It just requires specific testing. Testing which can be done easily. First sign is an increase in rbc count. A big increase. It flags up instantly. The test for the substance is expensive but it’s easy to do. There are testing protocols for epo. Ricky Simon is Chaels teammate not Merab... and if you've followed his career he's always had that style and cardio, way before he was even making money, having to work construction just to pay bills while he trains ontop he couldn't even afford epo, and to say cos he has higher output in later rounds means nothing, he trains more rounds than 5... many fighters would of been on epo and tested positive, none have come close to his pace and cardio, that's not how it works

    • @matthewharris9008
      @matthewharris9008 3 месяца назад +1

      This is a deeply disingenuous argument. Just because he has always had good cardio, is not proof that either he has never taken an EPO or hasn’t always been an EPO. Tons of fighters take EPO. Cody Garbrandt at one point slipped up on the microphone. Most people wouldn’t expect him to be on EPO. However, this is a banned substance. The reality is that some people will benefit far more from the substance than others. What exactly do you think Merab was trying to say on the microphone? People have been accusing him of using EPO for years and he is very aware of it. You think he just happened to make a huge blender and speaking and say something that sounds exactly like EPO? What word? Sounds like EPO? I’m aware that this mess up is not conclusive evidence at all. However, it’s just another massive red flag.

      @matthewharris9008 what's disingenuous is accusing someone who's never failed a test based off how he performed, when I've already pointed out he has always been like this way before he had money and accessto it, now if your arguments is based of guessing because plenty of other fighters have before, that's fine, but to put it all down to epo is "disingenuous" cos he had this high output his entire career higher than guys who've tested positive, so it doesn't mean anything

    • @matthewharris9008
      @matthewharris9008 3 месяца назад +1

      @@LJ-MMA well based off of your logic, it would be crazy to accuse the rock of being on steroids right since he’s never failed a drug test? If you actually think USADA strict drug test that is hard to pass, then you’re even more delusional than I thought. I am perfectly in my right of accusing somebody of using a performance enhancing drug, just as you are and you’re right to claim that you disagree because of not failing the USADa test. What do you think he was trying to say btw? Since you completely ignored that comment, conveniently. Did you not watch the video that OP put up? It’s also the fact that there is a direct relationship between failed takedown attempts/ie cardio but not skill and performance enhancing drugs. It’s not hard to find this information on every UFC fighter that has failed a drug test. They also tend to be guys that aren’t as skilled, but benefit from the other enhancement, that these drugs give these athletes. Btw, TJ passed these tests for many years until one day he didn’t. Almost all of these fighters passed these tests for many years until at one point they screw up. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t fail test at some point in his career. But even if he were to pass all of his test, it does not mean that he has not used EPO at least once or possibly his entire career.

A lot of people telling me he can't be on EPO because he worked in construction and trains hard. Could be true but not out of this world that he could be doping either. You have to question it at least.

    I don’t think your analysis is entirely accurate. I hope you read my explanation. However, I think most fighters in MMA and BJJ (the sports I participate in) have used or regularly use EPO in competition.
    So the Guillotine. Guillotines are a blood choke and/ or an air choke. If it’s properly applied it cuts off the circulation of blood to the brain and air to the lungs. Now, although your analysis of increased oxygen being carried by red blood cells would appear to make sense at face value, it doesn’t. When blood chokes such as the RNC, Darce, Anaconda, and Guillotine are applied they shut the brain down relatively quickly. We are talking about lights out in a matter or 3-5 seconds. That’s because the flow of blood to the brain has be cut off completely, making it impossible for the brain to receive oxygen. EPO will not supply the brain with enough oxygen to keep you conscious for 40 seconds longer. We are talking about time that could, realistically, cause brain damage or even death if deprived of blood flow for that long. Let’s rule out the blood choke because from the looks of head position and the color of Merab’s face we weren’t dealing with a properly applied Guillotine. That was a Guillotine being applied with extreme force to cut off air flow to the trachea and lungs. That choke was being cranked to compress the trachea and close the airway. The issue with these chokes is that they can be defended by hand-fighting and for an experienced grappler every little bit counts. If I get pressure off for a millisecond I know to breath in and take in as much air as I can to keep my lungs operating. Moreover it takes much longer to put somebody away using this “bully style” technique. Many fighters have been brought into deep waters with poorly applied guillotines, excluding Merab. Two that were very popular were Khabib vs Porier and Volkanovsky vs Ortega. Management of pressure and space can keep you alive in a tight Guillotine, and that seems like what happened here.
    Moving on, there are plenty of fighters that use cardio as a weapon and increase their volume and accuracy as the rounds continue. Merab is not exclusive to this. Dustin Porier gets more accurate and punches with significantly more power in late rounds. Max Holloway has virtually the same pace from round 1 to round 5. Stipe Miocic has better striking output in championship rounds. Nick Diaz was known for having crazy output in late rounds and never showing signs of getting tired. Nate Diaz was especially known for starting slow and then putting up record numbers for striking in rounds 3-5. Most of these fighters have shown their cardio output in 5 round fights, and most of Merab’s fights have been 3 rounds. Merab is not exclusive to having ridiculous cardio. He’s not an anomaly.
    I’m not arguing that he isn’t on EPO. I’m just saying your “evidence” isn’t close to concrete. It’s rather generic and doesn’t suggest EPO use.

      Hey my guy! Thanks for commenting. Great points. It's speculative evidence and an opinion formed on what I see. I also believe other fighters are on EPO but it was relevant to Merab since this interview was recent and possibly a freudian slip. At no point did I ever say it's just him, it's probably a high percentage of fighters given the current situation.
      Regards to blood chokes, had a conversation with someone on here about it. Again it was a logical formed opinion and in no way was I ever spitting hard facts. It was more my brain thinking out loud. And until someone from a scientific based background can tell me one way or another, it's again speculative. And I reviewed the choke a lot.. a few people said space but the guy went fucking purple. Maybe pressure wasn't applied to the carotid arteries correctly.
      Striking output is one thing but completely man-handling lifting and dragging fighters around a cage and throwing hands, that's something else. You can't measure power on that output so even if these guys are throwing hands, it could be at a significantly decreased power output. What I can be 100% on is lifting someone up in round 1 will be the exact same as the final round because an opponents weight won't change.

      @@brutallyhonestmma ok.
      So the reason your face changes color is from blood pressure. That choke was being cranked hard and a ton of pressure was being applied. However, that’s no an indication that it was properly applied. His arteries were not being compressed. It could actually just be an extremely uncomfortable neck crank and still cause that color change. It doesn’t take a physician to understand this. Just someone with good grappling experience (I.e. me).
      You are correct, weight will not drastically change in a fight. Taking an opponent down would only become more taxing. However, their resistance will. If Merab’s conditioning is better than his opponents their sprawls become less effective. If my conditioning is high level (which it is most of the time) I can shoot from minute one to minute 15 with the same velocity and muscle endurance. If my opponent cannot resist with the same energy level towards the end, I’ll land more takedowns, I’ll shoot more often because I know I have a high likelihood of scoring, and I’ll gain confidence and let loose more volume because I know I’ll land.
      I just believe your speculations are not well educated. There are tons of wrestlers that never get tired because their conditioning is insane. And, as a guy who predominately grapples, I can say striking cardio is far less intense than grappling. I rely on my striking to give me a cool down from grappling. That’s what a lot of grapplers in MMA do.

      @@micahbaier1557 all valid points but as you said and agree could still be on EPO and most likely is, until he gets caught or doesn't no one will know but seeing as most the athletes are, especially with steroid use being notorious in grappling and wrestling, it's not out of this world to suggest Merab is either. I really wouldn't have compared conditioning of wrestlers to make your point. Georgian wrestlers especially have been caught doping and stripped of Olympic medals.

I don’t really think it’s fair to say he probably is when there hasn’t been evidence provided that he is using. I don’t agree he most likely is using EPO. Anything is possible… but the examples you provided don’t give the indication that he’s been on EPO. I’ve watched him complete, he just moves well and puts a good pace on. Mighty Mouse and Colby Covington also have that kind of pace and mix it up.
