Simone Biles’ story is one of those that shows how incredible life’s journey can be. Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, Simone faced challenges from the very beginning. Her mother struggled with substance abuse, which meant that Simone and her siblings couldn't stay with her. But here's where the story takes a turn for the better-her grandparents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, stepped in. I have nothing but respect for Simone. Those who criticized her just did not want to accept that at some point in time, everyone falls down. Life has a strange way of telling the inner self that you didn’t do something correctly so consequently we beat ourselves and settle into that for life. Simone is not that individual. I applaud her for realizing that she could just stop but she realized that out there, the old Simone was still inside. Congratulations on her success. I’m so happy for her.

It has to all be in sync, body/mind/spirit. Getting help to talk about her feelings and frustrations, bringing them to the surface was exactly what she needed. Talking about difficulties makes them real. They are out there, then, and you can face them with a trained practitioner who can give proper direction. Her commitment to physical well being was a definite plus, but it was becoming an additional burden with her added pressures to achieve more. I’m glad she got help. Something was going to give. Now, she’s unstoppable. 🥳🤩😎 Go, Simone! We knew you could do it all along.👍💯❤️❤️. (At least, that’s what I think.)

I totally backed her when she took the time to re-orient herself mentally, physically and psychologically. Every athlete that knows his/her body knows when things just aren't coming together. So, it is necessary to take the time to come together. Simone is a SUPERB athlete. I've studied martial arts for over 50 years and would love to teach her.

I am so thankful for the decision Simone made to step away and take care of herself. Many women and men need to do this, but don't setting themselves up sadly for failure.......I hope many people are encouraged to take car of themselves. Your life is valuable.

As much as I love Simone Biles’ story, I’d like to hear about her co-Olympic gymnast’s stories too. Why aren’t they given the same respect as her?
No one is disrespecting them. You know the media looks for the ones that set them apart from their peers. They are not allowed to do a story on everyone.
Maybe when they get to her level you'll hear more about them.
They all seem to love and support one another and so they are a team, but none quite outshine Simone YET. There’s always room at the top but right now, in this moment, Simone is the GOAT, so let’s celebrate her triumph with her! 🎊🎉🎊
