5:06 the fish is jumping and Captain Quinn looks back to see if camera guy got the shot. And smiles to see he is. Great stuff. Beautiful stretch of the world right there
This one of the best videos I e ever seen. I really wanna get into fly-fishing and tying my own flys. It's the archery of fishing!!! God bless you guys thanks for sharing
You’re my hero captain Quinn, I’m born and raised from BC living in Ontario, I’m 27 and want to be you in a few years, beautiful wife beautiful family in the best place in the world feeding your family real food
I'm not sure how I'm just now getting these in my recommended but I'm super duper happy I finally found them this is good sh*t laughing my a$$ off and gleaning some info. 💘 me some Captain Quinn
Nice steelhead, great fish handling, one thing I would suggest is to carry a fish cradle, it allows you to land them without pulling them up onto the rocks.
The colored up fish are some of my favorites too. They are all wonderful and each one has its own unique character no matter if they are chrome or double stripe bucks.
Located right outside Kings canyon. Every time I watch a captain Quinn video I end up throwing flies on my next off day. Keep it up captain #ohhcaptainmycaptain
I fish nor Cal and I have had some one I know catch a steelhead while albacore fishing too, I have caught one mooching for salmon in 30'. Of water on our coast. I have also talked to a few commercial mooch boats here who have caught steelhead too, very shallow right against the shore, so all I can figure is they are really far offshore then really close to shore on the way home, sometimes in with shools of Kings getting ready to run. Great video 👍
Probably no-one is going to believe me but here in Germany I have seen a Steelhead trout (Salmo gairdneri) growing sucessfully in a shallow muddy pond. This species seems to be infiinitey more tolerant to low oxygen concentration than our own red-spotted trout Salmo trutta.
Absolutely amazing and very well done Quinn! Gorgeous fish too. Well deserved for a lot of hard work, skill, planning, and opportunity. Happy to see good people living their dreams while I am working behind a computer screen on a Sunday!
Nice job mates....Love the way you guys "keep email wet"! In your next vid please comment on the importance of good fish handling. These fish are treasures....well done.
I've seen many of your steelhead videos and that big fish must be one of your personal best steelhead! Great fight and many jumps and surface breaks. Thanks for sharing. Besides you got it on a single handed rod, neat considering so many guys are using switch and spey rods today.
Kinda feel like with all that color, these aren't spring run but are winters trying to "get it on" in the bedroom... tryin to get some! Spring run fish would be chrome - all these are colored up, hens just don't color up like the bucks. pretty cool little water!
Everything about this video is just awesome as always man. I fish erie tribs for them and theres nothing like it. Before my time comes I have to make a trip up there. I love fly fishing and pinning but id have to get one on the swing up there
Drinking coffee with baily, under that boat tent, looking out on the river in the rain, northen light and wolf cryes in the night, wow.... I've been to BC a couple of times, the little things i remember, like going out from the campervan in the night before bedtime, with toilet paper and a big can of pepper spray, a bear banger, a flashlight and a whistle to take a shit, or the time we got delayed going forward on a little deconstructed road running along a river and a mountain, because a couple of native Americans, father and son was in the middle of carving up a mose in the middle of the road! giant bowie knives, blood and guts all over the road. The father said ''it'll takeabout ten minit, is that okay?''
Hey I fish in the great lakes region and I live on the shore of lake superior and I steelhead fish all the time in the fall and spring and my best is only 10.5 lbs but my grandpa has one mounted that is 16
they get way bigger for sure in the great lakes, on the wisconsin side my PB is 12, I feel 8ish is average, but Ive regularly seen guys pull out 15+ with even a few 20+. The brown trout here get huge as well
God I love steelhead Fly Fishing. They can be “the fish of a thousand casts”...but when you hook one...you’re addicted for life. N. Cal has similar rivers and smaller sections where big steelhead hang out and slam your fly....sometimes after you’ve drifted tons of “perfect drifts”...then...wham, a fish. Great video and brings back some wonderful memories. Is that smaller rod a 6wt??
Great video. I recently fished two rivers this weekend in Michigan that have a good amount of steelhead in them. I fished for about 20 hours total the two days and didn’t have one hook up. I was also using spawn sacs. I’m obviously new to steelhead fishing but I was wondering what parts of the river should you target? In current or out of current? Fish the bends of the river or straights? Edges or the middle?
Love the videos CPT! Hoping for somewhat of a season on the John Day here in Oregon...currently nothing showing for runs! Beautiful fish and epic adventures!
Oshea Ferrero could be wrong but looks like they're running OPST commando heads, would be a great choice for this smaller river esp on the single hander
What a beatiful naturfilm, and how lucky you were, you cut hear the wind in the trees and hear the water flowing....I CUTTEN BECAUSE OF THAT MUSIC...WHY REPLASE THE MUSIC FROM NATURE..WHY
if i was hooked up and the guy with the blue coat. kept smothering me and the fish while i was fighting it id tell him "get on the damn shore and quit scaring my fish"
My home river is a little over half that size, and it always amazes me as well how 15-20+ fish even fit in there. It truly is a magical feeling
The legend lives on! Atta boy Quinn
5:06 the fish is jumping and Captain Quinn looks back to see if camera guy got the shot. And smiles to see he is. Great stuff. Beautiful stretch of the world right there
Please make some more steelhead videos, there's truly nothing like yours out there
Still a favorite video on RUclips 👍🏻
That's a film! Full of emotions!
Your love of the fish is awesome.
This one of the best videos I e ever seen. I really wanna get into fly-fishing and tying my own flys. It's the archery of fishing!!! God bless you guys thanks for sharing

When you are waiting for a Quinn video and he says he has an episode coming!!! Was worth to weight for 30 minutes of good music and awesome fishing!
Definitely some canadian sense of humor in there somewhere :)

Beautiful Steelheads awesome Cap 👍🎣

Great video, but calling this ”tiny little creek” is an overstatement of the century. For me it is in the large trout river category :)
Tight lines!
Awesome video! Nice steelhead! The one in the 19 min was really big and gorgeous! 👍
😮 almost seems like your under equipped with that 8wt
Awesome video as usual. I'd call that a river not a small stream, haha - but I'm used to fishing streams 5-20ft wide.
love these vids keep them coming!!
loving the new vid mate, cheers from nz!
Kinda feel like with all that color, these aren't spring run but are winters trying to "get it on" in the bedroom... tryin to get some!
Spring run fish would be chrome - all these are colored up, hens just don't color up like the bucks.
pretty cool little water!
The last 4 or 5 fish they showed were straight chrome...
There are a few still kicking off some scales.. for sure.
Beautiful fish man. I hope I can find your channel for that fly. I'm not from the west coast, but I can see that fly working anywhere.
Amazing film! You and Rob are killing it, again! Insane footage! 😍👍🏻✌🏻
Everything about this video is just awesome as always man. I fish erie tribs for them and theres nothing like it. Before my time comes I have to make a trip up there. I love fly fishing and pinning but id have to get one on the swing up there
Dont need to go west that far! Try michigans rivers. Lots of wild fish.

Nice video and super nice place! Very lucky to be there. What's the matter with the "hilarious" method to use a double handed rod....…;))
Very nice Sir.
Boi that intro is 🔥🔥🔥 so funny
Captain fly me up to ya and let's fish ! I need to learn more from the captain
This Rob character is a wreck hehe
Those wolfs! Would be scary to sleep on the ground!
Viewing from the great lakes region and my god 15lbs?! My personal best is around 9lbs. Great video!
David Niedbala they get wayyyy bigger

Lake superior is too cold and doesn't havev enough nutrients too produce large fish.
@@jeffknowles3952 but lake michigan has MONSTERS ;) we are talking 20 lb browns 30 lb kings and 15 lb steelies regularly
Exelente capitan
Saludos desde chile!
Quinn, kitty kanhofen and fishing with rod should do a colab... js :D it would be an awesome colab
Awesome Captain, you should catch them by hand now, ;-)
What are your top steelhead flies for the spring run? I'm not sure what to use sometimes
BEAUTIFUL VIDEO!.... also whats the song that goes "Got to find your own if you want to live?"
I really appreciate how you handle these gems. Love you vids thumbs up to all three of you. Does Brandon ever get behind the rod?
Nice video capn
No shortage of chromers in that video, and viva the single hander!
Awesome video Capt. I can't believe that was free! Thanks for doing what you do.
Love your videos. Please do one on Rob's fish fighting technique...
I think it is top secret! and way to revealing for You Tube! haha
Drives me insane... Another great video other than having to suffer through his fish fighting
Hahah! Well, Rob still gets em so good for him! its just kinda cringe worth watching him do it..
Matthew Rogosienski I know I think that's what makes it worse, seems like they just stick no matter what he does or doesn't do with the rod lmao
Nice video! I've subscribed!
crunch out a dookie! lol

Hi there! Great videos!! I will be in Seattle by mid June. Which rivers should I stop by for fly fishing? Thanks!!
Amazing!! What month was this filmed in?
What song at 21:45? Awesome channel, subscribed!
Where did you get the songs from Robbery? I love the sound of it(On the Way) and want to get more from them.
Ooooooo big ones too
I've caught a few at 15 in the lake Ontario Tributaries. I would love to go out west and try. What is the catch rate per hour of angler effort?
Low

The straight part of the bends, near the edges of the middle.
3rd like 15th view woohooo!
Love the videos CPT! Hoping for somewhat of a season on the John Day here in Oregon...currently nothing showing for runs! Beautiful fish and epic adventures!
Hey capt is that full float line on your 8wt or a med sink? I'm go in out for cutties tonight now cuz this vid have me an itch for that twitch
Oshea Ferrero could be wrong but looks like they're running OPST commando heads, would be a great choice for this smaller river esp on the single hander
Love the videos the music not so much so i always watch with the sound off. Please put some out without the hideous noise. thank you.
What’s the song at the end?
👏
What boat is that
Great video! What camera do you use?
Cannon C100
