love how they keep the trucks simple and affordable. trucks do not need to be flashy. if im throwing wood or work tools in it I don't want to be scratching up some truck that's $30,000+ keep some trucks affordable for labor workers type needs
Even though this car is outdated, its hands down one of the best Off-Rroading trucks in its class. (in my opinion). It is also updated with safety features. Also it looks pretty good. Models on this truck works for everyone super cheap or more expensive.
i bought a used one just like it this month... . love these videos about how 'old' it is... too funny.. its new to me and its like a real truck. hope they never change. :)
+David M I like the design. It's pretty much the only remaining pickup that is still rugged feeling. You don't mind climbing into the interior with dirty boots and jeans after a long day of work. I personally want it to stay this way, but I'm sure I'll like the redesign.
+Zack Salter I just bought a 2016 and I am very happy with it. It was a lot cheaper than a Tacoma or Colorado. I am with you on the interior, nothing wrong with being an honest truck.
I picked up a 2015 Pro 4X model in May. I love it. I wasn't a fan of the new Tacoma, and I no longer trust GM after the mass recalls. Either way, the Pro 4X was more truck than the Chevy or GMC were offering. You will be very happy with the Frontier if you grab one.
He says it has cheap looking dated plastic inside, All these new trucks have cheap plastic . They hail the Toyota Tacoma as a God or something. None of these trucks are perfect all have too much high tech crap , which over time you will have a lot of repairs needed for sensors and other issues. They are good when new but when the miles rack up problems will happen, the good thing about the Nissan frontier is the engine horsepower and it sells for less than a Toyota Tacoma or Chevy Colorado. However buying a car or truck is a personal choice so a review like this is only this guys opinion. If you like it buy it , if not get something else.
While all other trucks have cheap plastic they dont have as much as the Frontier. The Frontier is undeniably the most dated midsize pickup you can buy.
I bought a 2016 Frontier a few months ago, and I love it! It's not flashy, which is perfect. A truck isn't made to be flashy, they're made for work. Mine is the 6-speed manual with the 4.0L, and I can pull a loaded car trailer without even feeling it behind me, it has power when I need it, and it's a comfortable drive. I will be doing a full review of this truck tailored for the average guy. None of this dealership crap...so please subscribe to Midwest Garage to see when the video is up!
How has it been for you? I’m looking at a 2016 4x4 with low miles and don’t know much about the frontiers. Do you’ve any Pros/Cons as far as the very day driving and engine quality goes?
i bought a 2016 frontier V6, auto. i timed the 0-60 = 8 sec. 0-80 = 12 sec. dont for get its 4,000 lb. with a 3.31 gear. i read that its an old design, but to me that means its a good one
You should all check the 2016 Nissan Frontier NP300. Sweet upgrade for this classic truck. Not sure of the engines, I guess they deppend on the markets. In Uruguay we have a 4 cyl 2.5 lts gasoline engine, and a 4 cyl 2.5 tdi engine, 6th speed manual trans. and A/T also. Hope they get that 4.0 V6 on it. Hope you like it.
There isn't a truck that offers the same specs, for the same price. The Colorado and Tacoma are both more expensive, by a bit compared to the frontier. All depends if anmore modern look is worth $5,000+ more to you. To me, it is not.
I feel like the tacoma and the frontier are similar design wise as the colorodo and canyon. The taco and colorodo are the flashy of the two while the canyon and frontier look more like traditional trucks.
+Jake DeVries Depends on model, This one is Night Armor, the Pro4x has the exterior called Gun Metallic (same color basically) Don't know why they did this but he just mixed it up a bit
Surprise! There wasn't a redesigned version for 2017, nor likely won't be for 2018 or similar. The Frontier is selling fairly well elsewhere, so Nissan isn't going to put a lot of new money into the Frontier just for this one market. The truck is a good vehicle, so buy it for what it is, not for flash or gimmicks. For example, those LED daytime running lights you mentioned won't help you haul more or better. Neither will interior cosmetic changes.
Look up the Nissan Nevara, they sell it in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. It's the same truck just different name. Thae redesigned model is already sold in others markets. I've seen a few where I live
Prodigy Sebazzee001: 2020 it’s still the same but by 2021 it will be fully be redesigned Nissan will focus on the frontier this year and next year. Nissan trucks still decent since they don’t have that stupid cvt transmission
I gotta admit the frontier is a very good truck. Won’t break the bank. This is the truck for people who dont want to spend over 30k! This truck is the best way to go
I just actually think that it's quite annoying to me that people are definitely willing to give this little work horse a chance but never give the older sibling a chance the Titan so please definitely concdider buying yourself a Titan it will definitely shock the hell out of you when it comes down to its cababuiltys so please everyone give the Titan a chance to prove you wrong about that Truck just give it a chance

So nice. Hope they never change it. Honest, simple, rugged, affordable. ...and it looks like a work truck. Perfect.

Just got a 2019 4.0 for 18k. 10k miles. This truck will last me 300k+ I love it no regrets
Was it a 4x4? I saw the cheapest 4x4 models for around 20k, with 30k mikes here in Texas.
It is dated, but reliable and the best bang for your buck.
and it still looks good. ....truly bang for your buck.
Even after all these years, I still like this design. I'm seriously considering buying one of these in 2016.

+David M If you are still considering buying one, get the Pro4X. the Graphics package that you can get with it makes it look even more rugged.
The Pro4X is the best looking Frontier model. It's the only model I've seriously considered. Thanks for replying!

The only reason why the Frontier has better value than the Tacoma or Colorado is because it's OVER TEN YEARS OLD
I'm a 19 year old college guy, 5'7 about 130 lbs. this truck is perfect for me

and still waiting for your video. Where is it?
Good review & perfect Nissan.
I bought a 2015 desert runner with 38000 miles on the sucker so far sogood I like this truck
I just bought a 2016 w/low miles. I constantly hear how old the design is. Looks fine to me. Why change a good thing?
How has it been for you? I’m looking at a 2016 4x4 with low miles and don’t know much about the frontiers. Do you’ve any Pros/Cons as far as the very day driving and engine quality goes?
I like the look..trucks are suppose to be rugged looking and work horse
I'll take it. I'm sold. Despite the dude being unfairly picky about it
Would like to see a factory lifted Nissan Frontier to compete with the 2017 Toyota Tacoma
i love it they keep it simple

FYI... To switch the gears you don't have to push the button, only when taking it out of park
U failed to mention the oil pressure gauge ,a rarity these days
The Nissan Frontier has 4 wheel disc brakes, whereas the Toyota Tacoma doesn't

just bought left over new 2017 v6 love it!
FYI...
the color outside is called "Night Armor "
"Gun metal " is the interior color...
+Jake DeVries Depends on model, This one is Night Armor, the Pro4x has the exterior called Gun Metallic (same color basically) Don't know why they did this but he just mixed it up a bit

It's a budget truck no thrilles model my personal telling the more electronics the more to go wrong
“The redesigned model in 2017” lmao it’s 2022 and we just got a new body style last year
nissan navara has better looking than the frontier. so why not bring the navara in the US?
Do all 2016 have back up camera?
here in latin america is another redesigned version that is the nissan np300 frontier
Assembly instructions for 2012 Nissan Frontier sliding truck bed extender
Please have a 2017 redesign! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See my 2007 Fronty avatar? Mic drops !
this guy is too picky
He was on his period
well, he sounds like 14 year old girl so the truck is older than he....she....f it , HE
They will redesign it by 2021
One year off
That truck need a full redesign for next year in 2017.
Look up the Nissan Nevara, they sell it in Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. It's the same truck just different name. Thae redesigned model is already sold in others markets. I've seen a few where I live
Prodigy Sebazzee001: Update: 2019 it’s still is the same. Nissan dose not want to redesign it at all. But it’s starting to become very outdated
@@_thebusphotograher_cali are the doing the Xterra shlick? Xterra was around forever, then Nissan dropped the bomb.

It will shock the hell out of you when you go to the gas station. 11-12 mpg is shocking, of course that is 2 mpg better than the Tundra.
What is the mpg for these frontiers ?
16 in the city and 20 hwy
I average 17.5 mpg. I drive a 2015 4 door crew cab with a 4.0 v6. I drive roughly 500 mi a week mostly interstate. I love my truck
@@ritagoins3687 what speed though ? If i would cruise at 60 what would I get?

I have to agree.. I think this design is dated... going back to 2006. I like the basic-ness of the truck but I do think it needs a refreshed design.
Actually it goes back to 2005. I have an 2006 V6 SE
No es copatible con android
