      I would have been extremely impressed if he responded that way, but I don't fault him for what he said because I think that's the default response that 99.9% of us in his shoes would also give. Being as good, confident, and not used to losing as Gordon is I would have been shocked if he responded in any other kind of way.

      You know Gordon was only 21 when he got submitted, right? He was 22 in the rematch. Gordon is on a 46 fight unbeaten streak at only 26, which is years away from his prime. Pena might beat him but Gordon is not the same guy he was when he was a kid

      @@benlewis5312 Nor is Pena the same guy. It goes to literally every single grappler since sport is developing a lot. In their first fight Pena didn't even know anything about leg locks game as it was still underdeveloped. Pena would always do both gi and nogi what also makes it more difficult. But this ADCC he will give his best(training nogi only) and we will see. Either Gordon will cement himself as the best nogi grappler or the house of cards will fall and Pena will cement himself as the best grappler(both gi and nogi) of this generation. Looking forward to this match

      It will be an amazing fight. I still think Pena might surprise everyone and get this one. It reminds me a bit of Roger Gracie match with Buchecha, I would bet on Peña, although Gordon is a monster, i think Pena is the new Roger Gracie. Actually, there’s a practice with Roger and Pena on RUclips, amazing.

    Gordon even said it, he is 5-2 over the last four years in no-gi. 90% of his training is GI specific. Obviously he’s not going to “progress” as much.

    Gordon is great at hyping up jiu jitsu. He’s literally the only guy I’ve ever wanted to see lose. Idk if it’s an act or if he’s genuinely just a bully (he’s probably just a bully tbh) but I’m actually hyped for his match with felipe. Well done Gordon I didn’t know it was possible to be hyped for a grappling match

      Grappling is so exciting, especially these days. I encourage you to try it out for yourself because it’s the most interesting pursuit I’ve ever embarked upon. It’s rough in the beginning….emotional even. Then, after you do it for awhile you start to see glimpses of hope, and progress…until after a few years you’re walking around with an entirely new level of confidence, serenity, and perspective that you would have never otherwise obtained. It’s incredible. Gordon is amazing, his technique is flawless even under high pressure situations. He will absolute destroy Pena and anybody else…he’s just too far ahead of everybody.

Did you know that Gordon is putting up 100K if Pena beats him, while Gordon only gets 10K? If you have been watching Gordon lately....and you've been watching Pena lately...you'll realize there's absolutely no chance at all that Pena beats him, and even Pena knows that.

    With Lex covering so many topics- MMA, UFO, AI etc, I'm mixing up everything. I got a dream where GSP fights an AI robot, gets beat up, Khabib tries to help him. AI pulls both and throws them out of the stadium. The AI was later terminated for using excessive force, although it's algorithm had no data that showed humans can be killed when thrown outside a stadium. I felt sorry for GSP, Khabib & the AI robot

    I like how immediately as soon as he hears “your loss” his face drops and he gets super defensive.     This guys attitude is also how he keeps his edge. Not all great athletes need it, but many do. Just part of the deal. GSP for instance doesn't need that as fuel. But one upside is this guy makes you want to watch, it's the Ric Flair effect.

    Ryan really looks and talks, from a Brazillian point of view, like an outstanding American soccer player which wins everthing, like this 50 wins straight sort of thing, competing among other americans (male soccer players) and statting that this could be considered as being factual better that the national team of Brazil that although is 5 times world champion have some losses here and there, and he, in North American competitions only wins.
    Is just not the same universes bRO.
    The same is for brazillians in jiu jitsu.
    The competition internally in Brazil is in such a level now that if you were Rafael Mendes v2.0, you will be facing at least one loss. No way Rafael Mendes could compete in Brazil now undefeated for years in a row.
    Nobody seems that good anymore when there's so much ppl is in such high level.

      He may not be humble by any means but definitely not a sore loser. He acknowledged both losses and explained why currently in his opinion he would beat him easily. That is being confident in yourself, not necessarily being a sore loser.
