If I were you I’d ditch the old EFI and switch over to a micro squirt or Megasquirt system. I’m currently running a megasquirt 3X on my 280zx and the spark is converted to coil on plug and ran by the computer aswell, but for you, I’d keep the distributor system and only use the Megasquirt for fuel control, if you drill the stock intake injector holes (I can give you specs on mine) to a certain size you can use modern GM (high impedance) injectors unlike the OEM (Low impedance) type, makes tuning easier and with modern injectors you can have a better spray pattern and bigger injectors for more power later on. Anyway, if you want, you can buy a micro squirt from (diyautotune) and some other small stuff (I can help you figure your system out) and as long as you buy the stuff Ill help you setup, install, and tune the car free of charge, only thing I ask is you give me a shoutout once it’s all in the car and working properly. If you want proof that I’m not full of **** then I can send you some stuff on my current setup lol Regardless of wether you take my offer or not, great video(s) and love the channel, your recent video on the 280zx specs was well done 👍, much respect to you.
Ah man, unfortunate about the rail, but keep your head up! Sometimes you just gotta put the project aside for a moment for other pressing things and I think that's ok
Ditch that stock throttlebody and fit a KA24 or RB30 or anything nissan.. they run same bolt spacing and with a 20mm spacer, will bolt up. Move the throttlebody linkage over and it will bolt up to the stock linkage on the manifold
Yeah that fuel pressure regulator is definitely bad dude. I bought a whole new set of injectors in and it still ran like shit. I replaced it in a fixed issue

Update? Currently doing to same to my 81ZX

I did similar headers and upgrade throttlebody and went from 118whp to 140whp.
There’s a way to adjust the Airflowmeter meter (google) if it’s lean
