We've always had great luck out of our Chrysler products. This can here all it is is the fact that someone didn't take care of it and just drove it until something messed up and stopped payment on it and it got repoed. But those 3.3L engines are tough
Chances are it was beat to hell and was never taken into a shop even for an oil change and its still running.... Somehow these are really damn reliable and most other chryslers are just average or slightly below
others have said what I thought. If it's a Repo, they didn't have the money to maintain or put gas in the car. So, probably no oil changes, blown head gasket. Check engine is probably for the head gasket. The ding is the seat belt, when you go over a cetain speed, it nags you for the seat belt. Inside and out doesn't look horribly bad, but the engine definately needs some work, as well as the drivers window of course.
i have the same year and model of that van and both windows will go down like a few inches then stop and you can't get them back up inless you put your hand on it and push up and do the botten at the same time. and we found of the up stream oxygen sensor is broke and well alot of crap what can i do with my windows what do you think is wrong with it

I know this is old. Haha. But did you ever determine exactly what caused that smoking? I was looking at an '02 at a used car lot today, and the sales guy noticed it. Said vans don't sell much this time of year so it's only been started a couple of times recently and he wouldn't sell it to me unless their mechanics fix it. Just wondering what it was, so I can ask them if they check it during their inspection/fix.
It’s usually caused by a leaking valve cover gasket overtime they will leak oil on the exhaust manifold & that is why you would notice smoke burning off that manifold.

( a privelege for sure) drove past your fathers lot. i know when i get to NC, ill be buying from yall. hell i repoed a car in north little rock ark. from east tn. i brought a codriver along, i coudlnt sleep. because co driver was illiterate. could NOT read a streetsign. used to do repos. so far i missed only 1. in 200 repos. if yall are in need of a repo man, once i get there. let me know. unless you have it contracted out
My mother had this car horrible car she had it exact year exact model lx it was horrible computer kept going out the check engine light was always on we finally got rid of it and thank goodness too
maybe you should set your sights a bit higher the 01 TC has a crappy lil 3.6L engine and weak CV joints I have the 99 TC with a 3.8L And solid shaft CV drives in it Im Trading my van for a truck What I find Really funny Is Car Dealers want an arm and leg for their vehicles But wont give you anything for a trade in I wonder why that Is?
