- I’ve been seeing so many DIYs on these tile furniture items that I wanted to give it a try to! I explain to you guys the whole process from A to Z (from building the base, to sticking the tiles to grouting and cleaning). It’s definitely not as easy as what the internet makes it seem like but I’m super proud of this piece and will definitely be making more!

It's easier to not wait for the grout to set. My dad is a tiler and he said to apply the grout to a section then quickly with a wet sponge wipe away the excess grout. This eliminates killing your back cleaning and the grout off from the tiles also makes the process a lot easier to handle. Also correct use unsanded grout people unless you are a professional and know how to use sanded grout, but unsanded is best :)
wow thanks so much!!! my next project will be better thanks to your dad's tips hehe
Love this!! Gorgeous. I also think the dark grout was a good call!
Thank you!!
gorgeous babe! I liked seeing the process and was glad you were transparent on how hard it actually is!
thanks! it was relatively hard so i wanted to keep it real!! xx
thank you for sharing your process and all that you learned along the way!
Heyy! Thank you so much
yay!!! excited for you!!
omg you did such a great job!
Thank you!!!
Hello! Thanks so much for making this tutorial! Very helpful, you're a legend!! I'm wondering if you know how heavy this is?
Thank you!!! It’s actually quite heavy, not too sure the weight exactly but I would say at least 20lb?
Hi it looks beautiful
hi thank u :3
hi angel, do you know about how much the overall cost of this project was?
Hey girl! Yes for me it was about 150$ CAD approx!
Hi! So I really want to do this but I'm not so confident on the making my own box part. Do you think if I just buy a cheap wood bookcase that would be as fine?
Yes! I think you can add the tiles on anything really! As long as it's sturdy enough :) I've seen people add them on ikea already made furniture!
Sorry but, where’s your couch from? I’m currently looking for one and love yours.
It’s from Structube :)
Where are your candle holders and orange teacup/plate from
^orange candle holder in the beginning.
Hey! I was just wondering how you did the process of the actual box itself, did you cut up the wood yourself?
Hi! My dad cut the wood according to the plan that’s drawn in the video :) then he nail gunned + wood glued the pieces together!
How is it doing now? Did you use any sealer?
I did not and is doing great!! 🥰
Do you have links to the materials you used?
hi! I just updated the description box and added the links! x
i don't get how we're supposed to make this table without a dad that can make us the wooden corpus like how am i supposed to find a cube with the exact measurements of the tiles?
14:30 .... ummm so why don't you lay it down on it's side? LOL
Where did u get tile from? Tile costs expensive… wood furniture as well…
Got the tiles from La Tuilerie, they were like 4$ for a sheet. And the wood we got from our local hardware store
9:36 why wouldn't you just lay it down on the floor to put the tiles on?? That seems really awkward
It seems complicated👍
Slightly 😅
I don’t think that you know what infamous mean…
Too much talking
First tip, use the proper tool. Use a float to lay your grout. Second, instead of assuming you know how to do something, research. My biggest piece of advice, don't take tips from "influencers" watch videos from people who have a clue.
