Yes, it needs a taller windshield if you're over 5 foot 4 inches tall... or if you don't want wind blowing the glasses off your half-helmeted head... which is easy to do: buy a taller windshield, which is what I did... and I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall. It's a very comfortable machine, and it's a total blast to ride.
Test ride a Lowrider ST yesterday. Bike performance is very good. LCD screen is like a calculator from 1980’s, really Harley??! Non-adjustable brake & clutch levers - really?? Looking for a sport touring bike and would love to make this work, the value for dollars is just not there. If you bought it - Enjoy!!
I also have the new lowrider st, had the same issue with bar/riser crooked thing. Problem is the soft Harley bushings in risers. Push handlebars to line everything up and tighten riser bolts that will fix it , or get some aftermarket riser bushings. By the way I traded streetglide special for st. Best decision I ever made.
I think that for the way a lot of younger guys and gals ride this is a better bike than a touring frame model. It's got better power to weight, easier to turn in and has nothing you don't need. A great bike to use for getting to work, ripping twists and touring across the state or country. No frills just thrills
Two weeks ago i walked into a hd dealer to check out the st . I said the same thing " DAMMIT, I shouldn't have come here " traded in my 21 lowrider s before i left NO REGERTS !!!!
500 dollars and you can put forward controls There are 2 options. Chrome and blacked out.. chrome has a better access to brake than the blacked out one.. why they are different idk.. but they are different.. So.. get forwards.. powder coat them.. and you are sitting like a touring bike.. plus it’s lighter.. by 120 pounds Unless you want the weight for Highway …. But this lowrider is heavy enough for Highway and light enough for city riding… it was a tough call… if you go 2 up.. probably want the touring bike. But idk…. Lowrider st is an awesome thing
I've looked into making that trade. A lot of dealerships are asking way too much for the lowrider ST. Dealership I'm most recently looked at one wanted $26,500 for it. Just way too much money for what that bike is honestly. I love my road glide and I'm going to pay a Road Glide price for a Road Glide. But not Road Glide price for a lowrider ST. If that makes sense
When it comes down to it its a great value. If you have a 114 Road Glide with some mods it's a bit tougher of a move but for me with the 107 I would go to that bike if it was possible
I love your reaction to riding this bike. I feel the same way, in my own right. I can't afford it, but this bike checks all the boxes from me and it's frustrating 😅
I love mine! As for the "crooked bars".....turn the bars all the way to the left and give it a few very hard jerks. That should set it right. Worked for me. Safe riding!
Lol I figured the demo bike had just seen a few bad days where someone dropped them. I've heard from some guys who've bought them that that's just how they come. Not surprised many swap them out for another set of bars if that's the case.
I’m trying to decide between this and a street glide ST. I mainly don’t like the way the LRST fairing because of how it looks. The bag thing is also an issue. But I feel like I could still do tight turns, lane splitting, and easily maneuver through traffic with it. I love the way the street glide ST looks, but I’ve heard lane splitting in it is a bitch, and I’ve heard all that weight (weight of the bike) gets old really quickly.
Personally if you don't like the fairing go with a Low Rider S and get a Russ Wernimont Designs FXRT fairing and get some leather pros bags. You'd be in for the same cost as the LRST but with a objectively better looking fairing and bags.
Looks like fun for sure but I'm guessing it's a bit to small for my giant ass. Overseas so I can't check but I might look when I get back. 2020 RGL fits me nice, the 131 kit woke things up. I saved all of my parts from my 2015 RGS so if I wanted to make it a Special I could. Sport Glide was too small, this is probably the same fitment wise. This bike sure looks nice.
I have two bikes right now & this is the first out the box Harley I’ve ever been interested in. Hopefully I can get ahold of one for next summer. My collection would be complete.
Have the bike. Here's the link to the mods. Updated the pipe first. Improvement. But just like you said "CAM". Put the S&S 465 Torque Cam in mine and GTFOH! Rips! Another level.
I have the 475 in mine and although I do love it if I was to go to the 117 I think I'd do the Feuling Reaper 472 for a little bit less lift for more torque but still have some top end
Yes you can compare it… I just bought the lowrider st 2022. I have a 20 roadglide If I could only choose one. Probably the lowrider Except I like the tech options on the roadglide. But pure riding… it’s very comparable… a little less weight on LR actually more fun
I found you go through the gears a lot faster than the 114… city riding on street Bob 114 I was often in 3rd gear. Rarely in 4th … but the st You run in 4th
I'm 6'0" so it can be a little cramped but it's not that bad to me. It's not gonna be as comfortable as a touring frame bike but it was enjoyable for me
This bike definitely has some pep! You pointed out some thing you like that I didn’t like. 😆 I’m not a fan of the mid controls. I frequently got my pant legs caught on the pegs putting my feet down. I think with my height, it just isn’t a good fit how it comes stock. The mids do help with the aggressive seating position. Ripping the throttle, though, holy smokes! I definitely felt it over my 114 in my Road King. I will keep my eye on ya to see if you put one in your garage! 😂
Dude I didn't want to ride it just simply because I knew I'd like it. For my riding style it's the perfect blend of being heavily capable in the corners, can go fast and is pretty comfortable. I think if you ditch the pegs and go to a mini board Id catch my pants less putting my feet down. But it's such an awesome platform
@@MeathedMoto I bought a RGST in Gunship Grey. My third RG. I was thinking about this one as a second bike, but it really doesn't offer anything great compared to the RG ST. Weight reduction is less than 100lbs. Not a fan of Mid and higher controls which is not great for taller guys like myself. And lean angle I believe is the same as the RG ST at 31 degrees. Good luck on whatever you decide but it seems to me you will be down grading from a RG.
@@MeathedMoto it is a bike that definitely can be ridden aggressively with confidence. I’m sure I could be content on one with a few custom changes. I’m most comfortable on the touring frame with being close to 6’3”. I was pleased with how much snort it had even in the higher gears!
+Arnold Soshkin for me the Low Rider is better fit for me. I don't see it as a downgrade since I paid for these things on a Road Glide but then changed or don't actually use said things ie the head unit or speakers. If you compare the STs to each other yes they are all comparable but I don't see a reason to buy the Road Glide when I don't use the speakers, head unit, most likely gonna throw new suspension on it anyways so why spend 30k for the RGST. Hopefully you enjoyed your Road Glide ST though!
+TWOWHEELD I see that. I think if you swap to mini boards, probably a saddlemen to raise you up it would change the riding position. But you gotta do what's best for you and I do like the touring frame especially on the Road King.
This video is hilarious because I've been having the same conversations with myself since I caught wind of it. I'm scared to put the money down to test drive it. LOL You're not making it any easier. I have sportster currently.

Just traded my bobber in for this dream bike. Been waiting to don’t and zero regrets. What an amazing ride and I’m 5’3 and flat footed on it.

I would agree. I almost made the trade but the dealership is asking 26.5k for one so I don't need it that badly
Mini floor boards are a game changer 🙌
I am thinking of doing floorboards on mine, would you please tell me which ones you used. Many thanks.
@@dennishardy4402 yes sir. Flo mini floor boards..
Thanks for the entertainment. Every time you said dammit I shouldnt have done this ride, I had a good chuckle.
Literally just a temptation every time I get on a bike I don't own
You make me feel so happy I choose that low rider st,
I love that colour

You can run a quick disconnect tour pack. You just have to install a lay down license plate so the quick release mount will fit. I did that on mine.
Nice
Just bought one,and with video like yours it convinced me that I have done the right choice, thx

Just ring the bell already
Not gonna happen for a while 😅

Well as a 60 year old man...If i had one...Going from a touring size RG to a Softail LST would be a step down for me...
They are different bikes for different people. No judgement from me

It's a great bike for sure , but it's not a Road Glide , but it's for sure lighter
It's a different machine for a different person that doesn't want the bulk and the extreme mile crushing ability of the Road Glide
