Mmmh it's alright. Sounds pretty good when it accelerates but, the muffler at the end turns it into a kazoo. Factory 8200 rpm redline is crazy. I bet it absolutely screams.
What if: running Cylinder 1+4 and 2+3 in equaly long tube headers. Each with their own cat and cat-back system. Performance might be lacking, but the sound would be great!
Whatever makes him happy. This sounds better than what I expected, kinda like a non vtec Honda. Edit: Guess I was wrong, this XRS engine does have a variable valve mechanism. Upgraded 4AGE pretty much?
The engine is a 2ZZ that was developed with Yamaha which you can also find this engine in Lotus‘s not an average economy engine like a D series in a Honda
Its hard to find these cars with deep toned exhaust.. better off doing either a full exhaust (mostly custom) and keeping the resonator or just doing an axleback.. never remove the resonator as that helps prevent RASPY sound
Way way to loud guys gunna hate it within 2 years. Also that’s a 5 speed not a 6, and 2.5 probably reduced horsepower over a 2.0. Just bad all around. Any who has had an exhaust put on realizes it gets louder over time. So ya this thing is gunna be un drivable in like 2-3 years

Sounds about right for those muflers, super raspy. Needs a resonator to cut the rasp and it would sound deep.
Kept my resonator and only did a muffler delete, definitely sounds better imo. Sounds deeper fs

It has Toyotas version of VTEC, it sounds way more aggressive in my opinion. 2zz’s Rip
