BTD 5, Kingdom Rush, some other flash games I forgot about. Those games are definitely better than these "early access" heaps of filth

While it may be hard to believe with all the Frozen Pregnant Surgery games, some flash games actually have production value, it's true. Like actual point-and-click adventures n shit. Although I think even Frozen Pregnant Surgery is better than some of the Xbox Indie games...

the "Really Scary" thing seems like something that a group of smart middle schoolers would make in their free time whenever their mom was out and it was super fun and you wish you had more experiences like that with your friends

maybe the first time, it'll get ya a little bit, but every other time, it's laughably stupid on it's attemp to scare you, the scariest part is losing your space to shitty Xbox indie games
In all honesty, the animating style of the "Really Scary" game, if it were done in some deliberate sort of way and not... this...
...would actually really really be successfully terrifying. Especially in making things move in unnatural ways and unnatural speeds. Like, that crappy spider person jumpscare with the royalty free sound effect actually got me good for the sole reason that he kinda looked like he was moving without moving, and doing it fast. Really triggered the monke brain to go NOPENOPENOPE there.
And then there's the general gameplay flow and idea. The staticness of the world when you yourself are stood still, the on-rails traveling system like a point-and-click on crack, the janky framerate... it can all set up for quite the unsettling experience.
This game feels like some doofus had a shadow of a great idea and immediately threw all execution into a wood chipper in the process of trying to make it a thing.
Good thing there's potential to take this idea and give it good execution in a good filming location with good photographers, voice actors, set designers, and et cetera... maybe.
You wrote an entire essay on a 6 year old video about how a shitty indie game isn't really that shitty, while knowing pretty much noone would ever read it

There are very few great flash games. Have you heard of Super Mario 63? Look it up if you haven't. It is the BEST flash game I've ever seen/played. And I've seen and played a lot.

I'd love to see Nintendo hire the creator and turn the game into something more polished. And maybe add more. It was fun and challenging.
