@@2fmrc I Laughed so hard! I really enjoy your content! Im building your Yota and a 65 Chevy then Im probably going to attempt my version of that rock bouncer with a mini crawler/mini Z course in the garage for our long Alaska winter!

Hey man havent been on the pages in a bit. I got my rig pretty much set up. Weight down low extra long wheel base. Just waiting for those mud slingers to get in stock.
Love your content👍 And that rig looks awesome and work nice. I like that you have stretch the wheel base, the orange body is great, 4 WS and all of it. I have the SCX4 Jeep. And now after seeing your video, i would like to build one like it. I have the front axial, servo mount, wheels and tires, the servos. So now what do i need completed the build ?
Out of curiosity I wonder if it matters what scx24 you use if you are making your own links anyways. The ones we got say to start with a deadbolt but is there any difference in mounting between them? I have an extra c10 still in the box wouldn't mind going buggy with it too
No it don’t really matter what you start with. Mine was a deadbolt and I ended up with custom links and driveshafts anyway. Sorry I didn’t see this sooner!
@@2fmrc 😂 man you pretty much always answer....it's totally not a prob. I turned one of my c10s back into a deadbolt and customized it because of all the extra parts I had laying around. I think I could build another one if I looked in my extras pile. I'm better you probably could too. It was surprising the wheel base difference between all of the 24s...I still haven't opened my Betty yet but I wonder if it's the same as one of the others. You can buy a long travel kit from axial that as far as I can tell didn't come on any of them. It also comes with more of the little joints!
I dig it😂 I tried a few different set ups for links so far and best in the rear is actually a long travel 3 link over 4. Got an axial kit with a long wish bone. The front shocks I totally agree I may make a little plate with a few extra locations. My ultra heavy weights make it feel like it could wheel on the ceiling! I think I remember asking you about the 4ws before on the buggy...now I just want it more so thanks for that 😂
Guilty 😂 I'm looking at an xmaxx or a slash right now. I just love the challenge of the little 24 scale. The buggy totally is a game changer it's almost too easy now and my course was almost impossible in some spots walked over easily with just the buggy and stock stuff. My steering is super sloppy in the front so maybe that servo is in my future too. And then might as well use the stock one in the back right?😂
I have the scx24 deadbolt, i made the front a long arm 3 link from the links provided in the box. just ground 2 ends of links and glued together for a Y link. I am in process of installing a steer axle in the rear and doing another glued Y link for the rear. Just get a bit more flex this way over the rear axle upper link spread mount.
Also I took most all of the slop from the replacing the ball ends in all the links with a piece of silicone Wire insulation from small wiring scraps. Way better control over wrap and side to side alignment.
Thank you so much!!!! Just ordered 2 sets! I needed one and wanna have a backup. Almost ordered like 4 sets but figured I’d let someone else have a few 😆. Thanks again!
To be honest I’m not realt sure. I think most of the spektrum dx series share the same software so I’m pretty sure the dx5c and a few others will do it. Maybe even a dx4s or something? I’d hate to recommend any since I haven’t been able to test them. I just got lucky and already owned the one I used. Wish I could help more but my testing with radios has been pretty limited honestly. Never really needed much more until this idea hit me. I just had the dx5r for my track stuff.
Just using longer hot racing screws from some Diff covers I had left over (reused stock screws for diff cover) and a #2 washer to keep the screw from sliding through the shock eye
That rig looks awesome. I really like the tread pattern on the tires. May I ask the tire and wheel models. I plan to get the white jeep, these tire are probably too tall for the Jeep. Do you have any ideas, possibly smaller diameter tire this tread pattern may fit.
These will fit the Jeep but you’ll probably have to do some cutting on the fenders. I really like the Patagonia’s on my Jeep. They work awesome! The wheels on this rig are the rc4wd competition beadlocks and the tires are the new mudslingers. Have you seen my Jeep setup vid? The Patagonia’s do really well on it. They aren’t as aggressive looking but they do fit the Jeep well.
@@2fmrc I will watch the jeep setup video. I want to do tires and wheels if needed on the jeep and maybe the brass different covers for some low weight. Did you mention the steering servo is a good recommended start? Drove the stock c10 today, I could see steering servo was sluggish.
@@brianonthego yes the servo is a great upgrade to do. You can try glueing the stock servo saver. It makes a big difference in how well the stock one works.

At some point it always comes down to the driver! The good thing is it does require less money than 1/10 to get close to the top 😆
