The beginning of Akatsuki always make me emotional, too. It‘s because Su’s voice is magic.
She is both powerful and pure and able to convey emotion in the same breath is what it is, is my guess... but she might also just be a Siren from Greek Mythology. Who knows. 🙂

Akatsuki is usually written as " 暁", which means dawn, but in this case it is written as " 紅月", which means crimson moon.
This song is one of the most popular songs, especially among Japanese fans, and is a symbolic song of SU-METAL. It is a classic song that has made many fans cry.
Don't feel bad about pausing! We're here for your thoughts after all. It's much better to pause than talk over the video. This is my favourite performance of Akatsuki!
The dancer were known as muscle metal who toured with babymetal throughout the dark side era . They were Minako maruyama who was mikiko’s understudy and minami tsukui who is an action actress/dancer. That would explain the intensity in her face as she trained hard in that field. This version of akatsuki has never been performed after 2018 except for the 10 babymetal budokan shows , although the two dancers who performed the stunts are unknown, it’s rumoured to be muscle metal reprising their roles 🦊🤘
Yeah, it's most likely they were, the Budokan version is of course slightly different, incorporating part of the unfinished, which makes it IMHO the best one so far.

Yes, her voice is able to communicate emotion in ways we sometimes don't even grasp, almost like she can reach our subconscious. Maybe their is something with her clear powerful voice that just resonates with people.
The 3 or 4 ladies of Babymetal all are amazing with using their expressions as well, it's part of what makes them such good performers.
A fun story exists: Su-metal got to train this song a lot, not that she needed it, but every time when the girls were asked: what song need to be practiced more ?
Yuimetal and Moametal would say: Akatsuki and they always had 2 votes against 1. Why did they do that ? Because Su-metal looks so cool with her cape !
They wanted to watch her perform it, because they loved watching. 🙂 Shows that even the hugely professional Babymetal were also still kids.

If you want even more emotion there is a version of this song performed live known as the unfinished version. Stripped down to Su and a piano for the whole song. It’s devastatingly powerful and very moving. As for Su. I may not always know what she is saying but I almost always know what she means.

I think the Muscle Metal girls are awesome, and they match those outfits so well! I would love to see them return one day :)
the 9 string guitar you heard about they used one in BMC. this version of her outfit was only this show in 2018. they had four other dancers with Moa since this is the year that Yui had health issues and couldn't perform.

Su-metal's voice has this remarkable power for evoke emotions in the listener even if you can't understand exactly what she is saying.
And yes, the Trilogy of Lights probably will give you feels.
Su's voice at the start of this song gets me every time too.
You should react to Akatsuki Unfinished. You'll be an emotional mess at the end of that one lol

I do believe in Japan they are known as the Muscle Sisters, so I usually just write: Muscle Metal Sisters. 🙂

She's a dancer and choreographer.
Minami Tsukui is from Japan Action Enterprise.
She appears in a lot of action movies and stage dramas.
MOA improved her dancing a lot touring with them 😊, that's probably the most aggressive version of MOA we will ever see 😅, that tour was ... complicated 🙄.
They came back for my favorite version of Akatsuki so far, during Budokan X.

I've always felt this was a particularly emotive song, even for Babymetal. You can feel the longing and loneliness even through the language barrier, and once you see the translated lyrics, it all makes perfect sense.
Can't wait to see you react to "No rain no rainbow" su's most emotional performance by far. Make sure it's the legend XX version. P.S. Bring tissue🙂
You should check out Perfume “Handy man” or “Display”.
This is the period where I feel that BM were a bit in the wilderness when it came to costumes and themes, but Su can always be relied upon to produce a fantastic performance despite her tortured hairstyle. She has the uncanny ability to make emotion swell in your heart with just a few notes of her voice.
There's plenty of new stuff from Atarashii Gakko's Coachella performance for reactions and I think you'll like "Omakase" ("Leave it to me/us") which is a new song that really leans into Japanese folk dancing and "Forever Sisters" and "Arigato" which are shamelessly disco and funk.
Haha, you skirting around the anime reference was pretty funny 😂.
But I must admit, after seeing tons of reactors, and many of them literally say “OMG! This can be an anime opener!” Does get annoy lol.
Also, Su’s voice defies science and logic. It traverse time and space, and instantly pierces your soul. So no need to apologize for tearing up! We all been there with her voice!

I haven't commented in quite a while, still watching all reactions though, but no need to apologize for pauseing it's your video and commentary (some might not like it but true Babymetal fans want to hear people's thoughts and reactions, since we practicly know the songs and performances blindfolded). Personaly I prefer the Wembly vesrion of the song, maybe because of the wings and pause near the end, but she does sound slighly better (again probably because she's older and more mature voice). There are quite a lot Babymetal songs that make me emotional and teary eyed, giveing 90% of that to Su's voice other 10% goes to specific performaces, how far they have come, their irresistable charm and pure joy they bring. Moa of course is a massive and irreplacable part of it and Momo now aswel. Can't think of any other band where a "replacing" member was instantly beloved and accepted as her (if anyone knows any other let me know, I love to learn new things). She is a South Korean pop singer, dancer and choreographer. She is commonly referred to as "mother" by K-pop fans because she is a boss and fierce.
Her dancers are also elite and she makes sure they are showcased in her videos.

A lot of people says the best interpretation of this song was during the Wembley Arena show in 2016, so yeah, that was there in your place xD Better version than this one I think, but this is still good because Akatsuki best song.
