I had a similar experience with the crisis team back in 2022. Content warning - I was taken into A&E after a suicide attempt and repeated NSSI and they gave me no treatment, no IV fluids for dehydration, no medical support whatsoever and no beds until 1am. Saw the crisis team around 9am? Told me i was being referred for weekly therapy, which i had already been doing since 2021. No follow up, no extra support, nothing. In and out within 24 hours of arriving. Shit service and shit treatment and I absolutely hate how often this happens! I’m glad you got the correct support eventually, that’s always nice to see.

I'm not diagnosed yet, but the way I feel is that over my life, I put different emotions, reactions, behaviors, habits, and most importantly, personalities all into separate categories. I've been noticing that each behavior that I go through in a day is different personalities. Once I was able to teach my wife what I was going through, she started to notice that each behavior almost had their own mindset.
A lot of them are similar.
I just started to realize this last week. It's been tough, and I've been scared. I grew up watching movies of people being put into mental institutions.
So far, from what I've learned is no one is in danger. They're simple personalities or alters. Each one has their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Their own wants, needs, desires...
It would be a miracle if I'm going through some sort of growth, and this is just a phase that I must go through.
It's been a bit of a struggle. Just need to find ways to cope.

Lovely I love the openness and you seem like you’re in a much better place❤ I just got diagnosed today trying to hear from more people who actually have it instead of psychologists on RUclips because I feel like their points of view are skewed

How horrible for you that they treated you like that at the hospital! Some people just don't have a clue. No one really knows what's wrong with me, been diagnosed with Bipolar and also later on BPD so what do I have, surely I can't have both, who knows!! I'm still trying to find a therapist for myself, bit of a shortage where I am and also trying to find one that I like and who think is going to help me, it's not easy! Life is hard for me, people just think I'm a psycho even when they know I am mentally unwell, there is a lack of understanding and compassion for mentally unwell people in my country.

Try being a male I got told perhaps your ready for therapy now (MBT) I'm 35 the amount of traumas and S attempt's iv been though. only got CBT though a MHRT court ordered. First physiatrist I was with got told you don't need CBT as I can do a job, don't need DBT because that's for little girls who cut themself, (his words) then canceled me saying I was late and intoxicated which was a pack of lies got me blocked from my doctors of getting any help was stuck in limbo or self medicate no where to turn. But yeah tried to take my own life when I was 13 now 35 and still cant get a diagnoses even thought I fit all the criteria you have to to get MBT. I also suffer with Musko skeletal disorder/ fibro which always for years has been put down to low back pain, when it clearly isn't, at one point I took ketamine to hold down a job. Its no wonder why so many men end up in prison or are sadly no longer with us.
Sorry for this long winded comment in one of those moods, Thanks for the video keep going well done 😉

there's so many patronising people in the system, it's so bad i cannot even begin to open my mouth about what i want in terms of a diagnosis because i feel i will have a meltdown and start destroying everything in my immediate vicinity

Hi what shall we talk about as long as you're not all lesbian and s*** with rainbow but welcome to the BPD people don't let people think are you are mood swingy fuck off we are not bipolar BPD comes from childhood trauma i lost my dad when I was 12 year's old blew his head off with me at the bedroom door but I sometimes feel like it's just me in this cruel world but I do know that if you are wondering how shall we cope. Well im studying to be a psychiatrist because I was a peer mentor with CGL change grow live in the UK as for people with substance misuse but I am getting pissed at the moment as someone triggered me and im splitting but" the show must go on" that sentence reminds me off Freddie Mercury from queen the band because sometimes people would say a word that sets of a chain reaction to song's or movie's . Hey keep putting up post's as it's important and I think that you are lovely i wish I was but stay strong

This comment is extremely offensive. You’re being derogatory toward the lgbt community which I’m apart of, I’m literally married to a woman. You’re also being derogatory to people with bipolar disorder by clearly not understanding that disorder, which is disgusting and ironic considering what you’re studying for. This is such a shameful comment and you are not welcome here. We don’t talk about minorities like shit on my channel.
