- Tip of the week Fixing Leaking Waders
It is getting close to salmon season. my wadres are leaking like a screen door and it's time to do something about it. Please feel free to share, And give me a comment, if you like these tip videos I will certainly do more. Thank you for your support

My apologies, I forgot to mention the reason for the alcohol. The alcohol Will react with the broken end of the Gore-Tex, Turning the broken and the Gore-Tex black. This is how I locate the holes, and why the alcohol only works with Gore-Tex waiters.
So, then, no need to fill the waders with water? Thanks.

Great video AND having had UV burn on my eyes I agree I HATE UV lights.
Direct sunlight is the best. Those UV Lights are Dangerous

Thank you very much! I was bummed, felt a leak this past weekend and it looked like I done pissed myself after I took off my wades haha! Tried returning it for an exchange, but it was way past their 60 day return policy. Going to try this out and hopefully still be able to hit the water soon! New sub 🤙

Hi Jay - your videos are great. Lifelong fly fisherman, at 81 years young just entering the fray at Altmar with some success. My leaky waders made our last trip a short stay, but hard to let a little freezing water cancel the party. Would like some advice on setting up a spey outfit. I'm currently a chuckn' and duckn with an 8 wt; but the spey guys make it look a helluva lot easier. Allbest - you inspire guys to chase the biguns...................

GREAT Tip to use alcohol to find leaks!!
Yes it is
Turn the waders inside out, try and use flexseal spray. Let them sit for a few days.

Gorilla tape fast easy and it works
Real tape definitely works an emergency

Tried this method and can’t locate any holes.Went thru half a bottle of Alcohol.
I know what you're talking about, Somebody's holes Can be hard to find. Sometimes it's a process of elimination
You’re supposed to pour it on the wader - not drink it. Just kidding. Use the soap water method.
