    that was very good and very helpful. I'm always nervous about scraping with the glass slide and use a bit of plastic - I guess experience helps.

    Good video gave me some good info on where to scrape a fish. At what magnification do you start the search and up to what magnification do you finish if you find something?

      100x is best for me. But depends on your scope, lighting, eyesight etc etc. practise makes perfect. So play by taking samples off the pond walls and see what you can find. Fun too!
