Man love this brother dropping gems on the defense because I want to learn the blocks training because I already have decent boxing skills just know this would give me that edge cuz most guys travel in packs just wanna be ready for whatever tho 💯
I blink your partner we're a boxing specialist and he wore 12 or 16 oz glove he would probably be fine. 52 does seem like a solid defense to me for the most part. Add some kicking ,grappling techniques and take down defense and you got yourself a pretty tough fighter for sure.

i have to admit. you broke down this system to where i now see it's practicality. i never feel any system is complete...even if i love to train in it often. however, i believe in the individual rather than the invincibility of any art. that being said, I need this in my arsenal. great video sir.
That's the reason why Classical Bare Knuckle Pugilists kept their fists closed in their stances even though it is similar or the same as a Wing Chun stance!

Question.. I see you have gloves on but do you recommend gloves to spar that mimic your hand with fingers say like, a power hands gloves or stay with boxing or Kickboxing or MMA gloves? With that said what do you recommend to get started for someone who hasn't found the Teacher/Trainer & how many hours a day?
BOXING gloves are best for sparring when practicing how to punch with power w little risk to you and partner..at least 6 hours a day and there are online course which serve as a great way to get started..SALUTE
while I like your content, I must serve correction on your historical view of Boxing gloves and Bare Knuckle fights. Bare Knuckle fights were short and bloody, and they punched with a vertical fist, landing on the lower three knuckles. They began using gloves to keep from seriously injuring their opponent and to make the fight actually last much longer to prolong the entertainment. Bare knuckle wasnt long, it was just the opposite of what you said. Again, I dont say this to be a jerk, just pointing out historical accuracy from a bare knuckle point of view. Loving the 52 Block system btw. good innovative stuff.
thank you..but I think you may want to take that back..The record for the longest bare-knuckle fight is listed as 6 hours and 15 minutes for a match between James Kelly and Jonathan Smith, fought near Fiery Creek, Victoria, Australia, on December 3, 1855, when Smith gave in after 17 rounds...not to mention John Sullivan and Jake kilrain went 75 rounds so I'm slightly confused when you say they were quick matches because they didn't have gloves they didn't punch a lot gloves were introduced to make them fight more and thus matches went quicker..yup my boxing knowledge is very deep taught by the master WILSON PITTS
bar room brawls were short and nasty..but the real bare knuckle fighters fought more rounds then the boxers with gloves on I think Jake burke fought the longest glove fight like 100 rounds but check John Sullivan record
shouts out to 52 blocks, I practice what I see in your videos; I do have a fight theory question tho big brah. If you use skull and crossbones with closed fist wouldn't the opponent hit your knuckle into your face? I like open hand crossbone because you can neck chop opponent unconscious. (I practice for self defense)
anything is possible in a fight but it rarely happens open handed or closed if your moving your feet at the same time you won't have to worry about that, good question...SALUTE

Thank you for sharing this information akh. I do have a question, thou. There seems to be a difference of opinion on weather or not to use open-hand palm strikes on a street. @@52blocksinfo do u think open hand strikes could replace closed fist punching altogether? Or is there a benefit to punching that makes it worth risking hand injury? I've been wondering this for a long time now.
