    2015-2016 s1000rr stock rear wheel 182-183 hp...Power commander + exhaust maximum 193-196 hp... 207 hp??????????

      Not sure what to say mate, these are the numbers given to me by the people who ran the dyno and did the tuning. I did question them and the guy spoke about there being different ways of showing the performance line (those charts they produce) and that he used the method that allowed for altitude and humidity and didn't exaggerate results. I will be testing this bike at a track in mid September where I know what results we got from the bike in stock form. For me that will be the true test.

      I think he want to say 207 hp on the Rear Wheel with only Muffler. Are sure? I think 207 HP on the Clutch is much more realistic

      I think Dyno from Dyno differs. I don't know whether it is calibration but I did listen to people saying it several times. And that 30HP, sounds like something else was in play, I'm not a specialist, but maybe the power commander had something to do with it? Or just what the man said, it's the DB killer. Here is a vid that says a lot ruclips.net/video/ZqYN6Qgn0Vk/видео.html , sorry, I am not trying to promote anything.

    The hp sounds abit high ... Havent really seen many bmws hit over 200rwhp from just a slip on

      I had the same thoughts about such a big number though I actually sat in on all of the testing and the 30hp difference between with and without baffle was right there on the screen. I'll be testing this set up next month at a track where we have some times from this bike in stock trim so I can compare. I am keen to do a quarter mile test too. I just did two days of testing on track this week with the new set up and it performed really well though no comparative times. It definitely felt much crisper and more responsive to throttle though not sure if i felt a 30hp difference, hard to tell even though nothing on the track was faster on straights. I'll do a vid on it next month. cheers Steven.

      StevenZakir Cool, love to hear how the arrow system turns out performance wise, you will definitely need some tuning to match fuel to that system and avoid being too lean

    do you think you can put the video of each Dyno ,I would like to hear if its worth the extra money to get the gp-70 or if getting the Conic and removing the baffle will be enough. Thanks ! keep up the good work on your vids.

      I do have some video footage taken on my iPhone of both the GP70 and the Conic, I'll put it together and upload for you mate. I still think the GP70 is way too loud for the road for very little gain, it's an ear killer for the rider up around 100-115kph, after that the sound drifts behind and is more bearable. I am a big fan of the conic having ridden it quite a few times now at Phillip Island and Eastern Creek here in Australia.

    Nice video. any sound clips without the baffle? and maybe a full size picture of the bike?
    I'm currently looking at this exhaust for my bike, that also is black. Dont know if i'm gonna get the carbon or titanium.

      I'll get some and put it up Jon, we just did some track testing this week with the set up and am really impressed, it sounds freakin awesome and quite loud on the gas at full revs.

      Just had a thought Jon, check out The Bike Stig on Instagram, we actually posted a short vid of this on the dyno with the Conic fitted.

    Hey mate ive been thinking of doing the same with my bike. 16 s1kRR and i have the conic too, did you guys get the power commander with any accessories? and does the power commander have any adverse effects on the bike? or is it purely a way of a tuner interfacing with the bike?
    Live on the GC also, so would go to the same guys if they can get those sort of numbers

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  8 лет назад

      No Matt, simply installed and dyno tuned the Power Commander as it comes. I don't believe there's any adverse effects, I've ridden it on the road and spent 2 days on track and am super happy with the effect, the noise is freakin awesome! I did notice a subtle throttle lag through a long sweeper onto the main straight but I think it might have been what I was doing and not the bike. The PC simply allows you to manage fuel across the rev and throttle position range, it can be unplugged and everything goes back to normal.

      no mate, I don't know anything about these. I did see these offered by Dynojet for Harleys though.

    What do you suspect would happen if you just put the SC Conic on and no power commander? Your video has got me worried putting this on will suck HP off my bike. If SC Conic, no power commander, but remove the slip in silencer....parity HP at that point? Which would be ok to me as I'm just trying to fix cosmetics of 2016 RR exhaust looks...don't mind spending $ for looks and a bit better sound with 0HP but don't want to go backward at all...thoughts?

      I ran the SC Project GP70-R on the bike without the power commander, actually used it a a drag meet to see how it performed .. there's a video on the channel about it. We put it in that same configuration on the Dyno and the operator showed me a chart which indicated it was a bit lean at higher revs .. I don't have a copy of that chart to show you unfortunately.
      Re the Conic ... it has a smaller diameter internally to the GP70-R and I would be happy to run it without the baffle on my bike without a power commander and be confident of a HP increase, though I'd definitely take it to a Dyno and check fuel across the rev and throttle position range as well as performance. I don't have any figures on how Conic with baffle compares to the stock system performance wise.

      @chassmotto7795 8 лет назад

      So what was the -30hp? I thought that was from OE to conic with baffle

    • @TheBikeStig
      @TheBikeStig  8 лет назад

      The main thing I regret doing was putting the bike on the dyno in stock form, that would have helped us answer the question with figures from the same bike on the same dyno in different configurations. Looking at the process now I believe the main reason for the 30hp difference mentioned is that the power commander had been tuned to the GP70-R which is a huge noisy race muffler. We then whacked on the Conic with baffler and the fuel system had been tuned to suit more throughput. We pulled out the baffler and a 30hp shift was observed. The charts are shown here - thebikestig.com.au/dyno-testing-sc-project-exhausts-bmw-s1000rr-combination-power-commander/
      I'm still pretty cool with a Conic and no baffle given it does perform well without the ear splitting noise produced by the GP70-R. Hope that helps.

      I am on track for 3 days this coming weekend and it's at a location where I have the track times to be able to compare the bike in stock trip to what we have set up now. After that I should be able to offer more performance information, though it will be based on a Conic + Power Commander combo

    • @chassmotto7795
      @chassmotto7795 8 лет назад

      Thx for all comments. I was just worried if I didn't power commander bike and just did slip on that I would see a -30hp drop. Your vid is only reason why I haven't bought yet as I don't want to spend money to lose power and i doubt I'd ever power commander my bike

    is this bmw a 2015-16 model or the 2017?

  • @TheJmebe

    207 rwhp. Bullshit. You'd need power commander, a custom ecu map, zero weight oil and race fuel and then I'd be surprised if you got more than 205 rwhp...
