Well... Perhaps Alison needs to Practice her "acting" heartbreaking? I'd Volunteer and Step Up in a FLASH, as She's STOLEN my ❤ many MANY Moons Ago! ABSOLUTELY 😂
I first heard this song several years ago and it's become one of those few songs that have stayed with me wherever I go. I constantly find myself singing its catchy lyrics and tune especially if I read the word swan in a completely unrelated setting. It's such a painful yet soothing song. After all these years, I love it just the same.
This song as been stuck in my head for a while now... Such a charming melody that makes me sad, yet happy at the same. Alison Sudol really gives me a fine frenzy inside when I listen to her songs..
@velocitygirl1000 I think what you mean is - wow. 43000 people have seen this and only two disliked it. If you look at the like bar you can't even see the red bit. What a tesament that is to this beautiful song.
@singasong0 its about how a girl made a huge mistake and doesn't know how to redeem herself. because at the time she felt passionately about what she said to someone, but now she realizes that it was not wise and regrets her actions. its so crazy how i relate to this almost word for word, symbolically. did my explanation help you at all, sir/ madame? :)-Wawa
@singasong0 Aesop's fable of "The Swan Mistaken for a Goose": "The swan, who had been caught by mistake instead of the goose, began to sing as a prelude to its own demise. His voice was recognized and the song saved his life." Ovid mentions it in "The Story of Picus and Canens": "There, she poured out her words of grief, tearfully, in faint tones, in harmony with sadness, just as the swan sings once, in dying, its own funeral song." theres more on Wikipedia :) i didnt know either. its a myth
In the face of regret, it's like, "Danger," in The Lion King. With enough time to learn from it, it proves worthy of a choice, stacking with all the others.
Alison, your "Lost Things" video was so cute, and I love your hair in it. ❤ Especially since my bus driver Karen sez I have a thing 4 girls' hair. I wish I could meet and befriend U in person, especially 2 celebrate my birthday, which is Jul. 13. I'm 5 months older than U, by the way. Hope U reply. 🙂
I'm the queen of "I said what I said and I meant it, but, now, I regret it."
Me too, queen
It's been years since her last album, I still wait to hear her next collection of genius.
She doesn't plan on putting any more music out. :'( She wants to focus on her acting.
She’s stated recently to make music. She’s not in A Fine Frenzy anymore, but as Alison Sudol.
@@nikkili11 oh my.... that's so sad. i love all her songs :'(

its so simple..but so deep and touching.*.* You know what I mean?
@Blairgirl411 i see it as the envy of an heiress is the man she had, she said something in an arguement and ended it and now she regrets it
@LilyOfTheValley161 bomb in a bird cage, her second album
@LilyOfTheValley161 Bomb in a Birdcage.
I said what i said and i ment it. But now i regret it... /3
@300Spooky Actually, she's lost her luster. Anyone could have written these lyrics. The rhythm is dull, stale, and aimless. I was bored.
Lyrics so profound.
