Thanks so much I am seriously thinking about getting an axolotl for my next pet, I live in the Phoenix area where it's HOT HOT Hot in the summer. so this was very helpful. Thank you so much for your informative videos which I learn from every week.
2:20 the lasers light bounced off the glass and into the camera. What a coincidence. I would say be careful but like how would you do that at that point lol.
I like to keep my house on the warm side and I saw a fish tuber who used reflective insulation on 3 of the sides of the tank. I tried it and love how it worked bc it is low profile so you don't see it from the front much and it helped get my tank a degree or 2 cooler.
Omg that’s so cute! I’m using ur videos for advice or something like that cuz… My dad’s getting me and AXOLOTL for my birthday! Cant wait (even though my birthday’s in October.
Turtle girl what are the best fish to put with a red eared slider?Plus GOD forbid if the fish aren't healthy and my Turtle eats one what can happen?Honestly the fear I have about my Turtle becoming sick from eating the fish has been holding me back from introducing fish into her tank.Shes very aggressive but I'd like her to have more stimuli. Please advise thanks your channels awesome.
Completely off topic of the video but thank you! I got my turtle a wave maker and it is a life saver. It makes it so much easier to clean. Of course I had to get one that was to small at first so now I have a large one and a medium one. It does blow him away sometimes but he’s just getting used to it
@@TheTurtleGirl oh also sodapets(she’s so cool lol like u r) a RUclips channel about animals recommended your channel for people who owned a turtle It was in her old video but I thought you would want to look at it so here you go: ruclips.net/video/VRqGsf9jjRc/видео.html
I was soconfused whenncyou said numbers like " 74, 65" and such, and then I realized its degres, not celcius 😂 But anyways, Thanks for the video, It helped. But can you also wrap normal cooking foil around the aquarium?
haha yeah! sorry about that! i'm not sure if normal aluminum foil would have the same properties. It would definitely deflect some heat but I'm not sure it insulates in the same way a mylar blanket would
Good info. I keep two fan and two sponge filters, in a 36 gallon tank, I keep my home at 73 degree and have no issue keeping my axolotl tank cool. But I definitely want it to drop another degree or two.
hello turtle girl i just want to say is there anything cheap to make the water cooler without making the water rough and my axoltl getting stressed out i realy admire your care for animals but i would just like to know if there is anything like what i said thank you please give me a shout!
Turtle girl i have a Question, Can you keep the room light on that The tank is in? I have a new axolotl (Named Mochi Bc of yours) and I dont know if i can Put lights in not in the tank . 🐢 Also i love your channel! Pls anyone answer!
Thank you Turtle Girl! We are fans from all we have hearted with our turtles but now welcoming the new family member, our axolotl. Thank you for all you do!
Hello I have a question about my young Florida cooter it’s shell is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and basically it’s shell looks weird I’m not sure if it’s shell rot or stuck shed could you help me please?
Hey there! Recently my aqua chiller stopped working to keep the water cool. The thermometer on it still works, but I was wondering if you know any reset methods or have any ideas on why it stopped working? It’s only 3 years old and had no issues prior.
Just for a piece of mind for me I would just do the aquarium cooler instead of all that mess because I would not be comfortable doing that I would have a thermometer to check and then cooler I have a 125 gallon aquarium so if it's more expensive than that heater then I'm just not going to get an axolotl and Im probably not for a while because I'm tapped out can you do a video on what you think about the axolotls mutating to land/water creatures
Any tips on stopping so much condensation forming all around my tank. I live in a humid country and use a chiller which is why I have so much condensation form all around my tank.
(This is not about axolotl's)hello i have a new turtle and im wondering at what specific time should i feed me pet turtle at 5:00 or 6:00 or any other time
Hello! I was just wondering if I could take cold water and just pour it into the tank to keep it cool. I don’t have a Axolotl yet but I will get one soon. I really want to know how to keep them cool. (Also is there any water too cold for them?)
Puedes hacerlo metiendo unos 8 metros de manguera en un mini refrigerador esto enfriará la manguera y bajará la temperatura hazle unos huecos al refrigerador para que salgan las mangueras con agua fría
You can use artificial silk glo fish plants, you can use any glo decor so long as it doesn’t have any sharp edges, and you cannot use any gravel/rocks/pebbles smaller than an adult axolotl’s head because they will mistakenly eat it. Sand is only safe for axies that are 5/6 inches long from nose to tail. It must be a bare bottom until they reach 5/6 inches, you can get away with it at 5 inches if your axie doesn’t go hog wild eating the sand. Having a shallow feeding dish that you place their food into using long aquarium/reptile tweezers will help keep them from eating sand. If you’re going for a glo look for the base of your axie tank then you could tape one of those super colorful glow in the dark velvet posters to the outside glass of the tanks base. You could also get XL smooth river rocks, paint them with glo paint, then seal that paint with Plasti Dip spray paint. Let them dry for 48 hours before adding to your tank. When doing a glo tank for axies, look into blue/purple lighting instead of black lights. The black lights put off a lot of UV and damage axies eyes. They don’t have eye lids so anything with high UV can hurt them. For regular LED lighting, turn it off every few hours and make sure your axie has plenty of hides. You can also use floating plants, real or fake, to help block some of the brightness to protect your axie from light while still brightening up your axie tank so you can enjoy seeing them better.
If you zip tie your light bar above on the rack you wont produce any heat to the tank(i have the same racks). Also, I'd get 2 large sponge filters versus the 1 small one. I see you're a turtle girl, they equivalently as dirty. It'll help keep your tank parameters more stable during water changes.
Thanks for the informative video, Sol! I don't have an axolotl, but it was still fun to watch. Mochi is very cute. I really like your shirt!

I suggest to not have any light sources in the room. Axolotls themselfs dont like light sources. So keep the lights off if its possible

What wave maker do you have or the thing that keeps the water flowing in your turtle tank

very good info. thank you for sharing. peace, love and blessings!

thank you aquarium video☺️✨
Axolotl
All that hassle. Just get a bloody chiller
it’s ‘spensive 😅
What if it’s extremely cold
usually they'd be just fine...but you could set a heater to like the lowest setting. highly doubt that it would get that cold though.
I just recently got into liking axolotls I was wonder if you have any suggestions for a filter or would any filter be good?
if you’re still wondering they posted another video about care for an axolotl and it goes in-depth for filters!
Great video
thanks :))
Love the videos
appreciate it Gavin :)

Should you wash the tank every week or every day or maybe 2,3,4 or 5 days idk what rhythm to use as in weeks or days
I do water changes about every other week.
