Yo thank you for the info about the 1.22x it makes total sense, I've been doing Widowhails and 250 x 1.22 comes out to 305% which is the highest on trade, so 1.22 confirmed and good to know for future projects. I also didn't know that it divines first though so I've been buying 250% and corrupting so.... guess I don't have to do that, lol.
Also corrupted 27. Got one 89% and one 84%. Overall I lost more than I gained since I buy the bosskeys and run them myself. If I would have stopped after the 89% I would have made 165div profit but now I am at -33div total :D

What MBX does in POE 1 as well, he makes a build, advertise it, have fun with it, then people start making it and prices for items go up, so he just sells it for much higher price, makes a new build, advertise again, people bump the price, sells again, and after 5 rerolls + a lot of farming ofc he ends up with a lot of currency...this is common sense.

The king dropped a belt that I divined three times, failed to hit good and sold for 18 div. All in all, lost 3 divines, but still thankful for the damn belt to recover some of the cost. It's just such a gamble to even run these bosses. That said, of course the King will be hit many times over the weeks, fun to have a build that can murder the hardest content.
I don't think you need to divine them for a good roll (but might be wrong). The Vaal orb already divines and then does the +-22%, if it didn't work like that you wouldn't get a 30 or 40 roll from a 70. So I believe you can just use a minimum roll belt (or widowhail for example)

If the belt is below 70% and you corrupt it will lose roughly 3-4 div just because it is corrupted. So by spending these 3-4 div on the belt before he assures that the belts don't lose value and might even gain some more due to the implicits. It's not crazy much but it is noticable.

This spreadsheet assumes you're gonna sell those 40% rolls which is a big if. For most builds that care about this belt the breakpoint where it actually is a desired option is between 60-65 as far as I can tell which makes all those 40s a dead weight nobody will buy them unless some noobs get baited, plenty of them around but nobody who knows their stuff will buy a 40 roll corrupted one - you can already see trade site is flooded by those and they aren't selling.

I would say 1 mirror lost at least, like 80% got worse stats or useless stats, hit 2 or 3 belts that worth twice but not big. Still not Mbx level of gamble where he loose it all. So it's not that big of a loss but i doubt ppl buy corrupted belts less than 75-78% corrupted for 1-2 divines less than that.
PoE is not pay to win, the divines used were not supplied by GGG through a separate RMT website so their game is highly profitable- they would never do that.
you are right about the range of altering the value of a mod on the item (-22% - 22%) but you missed the part about it rounding up at values of 0.5+. in the case of ingenuity you could hit a +22% on an 80% mod, which would equal to 97.6% which gets rounded up to 98%.
@@80Einalem it looks like for some things there is rounding down, but for some rounding up. I had a 74% ingenuity with 16% all ele resistance ring and it gives 27% (16x1.74=27.84). When I switched to a 75% then you get 28, the next jump happens at 82%

I did this today and went from 120 Divs in the beginning to 200 Divines in the End. Bought Ingenuities for 18 Div, threw on Divines to hit around 74 % or more, some went straight to 80 or close to that within 2-4 divines. Yes, if it rolls a 40-50 % you make a bigger loss but still then you get like 6 divs back for 20-22 divs spent. I was literally shaking my head here when MBX predicted this to be a heavy loss. I dont wanna sound stupid but these belts are a kind of a safe way to gamble almost risk free if you are rich anyway. Like some comments here already pointed out 11 divine loss with 2 mirrors invested is NOTHING. He didnt hit anything crazy on 40 Belts, taking that into consideration you know how much profit this would've been with only 1 belt in the range of 88 - 97 %.
