    Wonderful personal style change ideas. One thing I did 3 years ago was stop colouring my hair as it always came up a yellow blonde and who knew after doing is for so many years that my actual hair is ash blonde an as older I stopped wearing so much makeup just foundation, a skin moisturizer and a Channel lipstick, no eye makeup . I too wear neutrals. I just found your vlogs and have watched a few this evening. Love them. What type of work lead you to moved to Paris? Have subscribed. Enjoy your soft spoken views.

    Definitely, a cashmere or all-wool coat is the only way to go for cold weather. We don’t get that arctic cold, here in San Francisco, that requires a Canadian-weight down puffer, but a good wool coat is perfect. I love a lined wool or cashmere coat, especially. A lining really helps cut the cold wind and makes the coat so much easier to don and doff. I’m allergic to synthetics and it’s really difficult to them with find non-poly linings, but a few good brands do offer breathable, plant-fiber based, viscose/rayon ones. That’s why I buy most of mine from Banana Republic (some are only 75% wool, though, about the minimum that works). I also like a coat that fastens all the way up the front, the open neckline and chest areas areas where I feel the cold first. Scarves help, but not as much as tightly-woven, lined wools.

You’re someone I’d love to be friends with ❤ Re fashion, do you see many French women wearing trench coats? Also, I’ve heard there’s great pre loved Burberry shopping in Paris, is this true in your experience? I just got a new one and would love your thoughts on styling! Great video, I never knew Paris colors were neutral and it makes sense given its natural art and composition. I have to think what color nyc it’s all over the place next to the traffic, subways and hot dog smells😅. Btw you right about Paris being walkable it’s capital cousin Washington DC is the same in that aspect of walkable with metro. I was there for a county fair in Maryland where outside of that you need a local bus that get there. Otherwise it was fun. 🎉once again congrats on 1 million total views and well we are getting close to 10k it’s hard for smaller channel to get there but it’s coming. Also great ad 😅, hope on of many that I hope it can bring more oppertunties. I welcome ads as long it’s not some mobile game, questionable product and gambling on sports which I’m used seeing from American side of RUclips. Take care Lauren

      @@LaurenGraceHarding NYC it’s like all the colors because it’s very much diverse from different communities styles and looks. It’s a mish mash of colors that one bourough (basically a county) is different to another. It’s very tough to gage lmao.

    Like the French, I like minimal makeup, a simple, natural hairstyle and no fake tan. I always have loved this natural look. I usually just wear sunscreen and lip-balm, and sometimes add blush and a tinted lipstick. I let my wavy hair dry naturally and do nothing else to it. I really dislike fake tan, I think it never looks natural and usually looks bizarre. I can always immediately tell if someone is wearing it, it never seems to match anyone’s coloring and often makes skin look dirty, rather than tanned. I don’t know why so many UK and Australian women feel they must wear it. We don’t, here in San Francisco. I am very pale, and as much as I would love to have that beautiful cafe au lait skin tone, it just isn’t going to happen. I don’t feel anyone should have to change or apologize for their skin tone, hair texture or any other inherited characteristics, it’s not like we can help them. We might as well love them❤

      Hi Kimberly, hope you've been well and thanks for sharing your perspective!
      About fake tan, I think it can look nice depending upon the formulation and the amount applied. I personally feel more confident with a bit of colour during the summertime and support anyone doing what works for them if it makes them feel happy and confident 😉

    Fake tan? Is that big in Australia? Here in the us midwest, i know less than 5 women who use it here. I look at my past and cringe! I think your humility and willingness to try new things and learn from other women is lovely.

    • @LaurenGraceHarding
      @LaurenGraceHarding  3 месяца назад

      Hi Jessica, from what I've experienced, it's used often in the coastal cities such as Sydney, Brisbane... a quick google of fake tan australian made shows a number of different Australian fake tan brands - Bondi Sands is our most well known brand of fake tan, so I'd say it is quite popular in Oz.
      It's interesting that in your experience it's not widely used in the mid-west - I wonder if that would be different on the west coast, for instance in LA?
      I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a few cringe moments in their past 😉 Thank you so much!

    Hi. I liked this video as it’s good to hear from your perspective how things have changed for you. One thing you didn’t mention is the French love of lingerie. Has that changed you or have you indulged in that area. Traditionally French women always wore beautiful lingerie to give them confidence. Is that still the case?😘
