    This trail is my worst nightmare... I'm not so hot on the skinny stuff...especially with how long modern bikes are! Much respect haha

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  7 лет назад +1

      +The Loam Ranger I've got kind of a weird fascination with this stuff. It's basically circus stunts in the forest

    i went to check it out that summer as well . great to see someone riding the trail.

    Man this is awesome! Watching Leech, Bourdon, and the rest of the gang ride this stuff is what showed me there was a world outside of walmart bikes. Got my first decent full sus in middle school and built some stuff like this in the woods behind my house. If I lived around that stuff id be working my ass off to keep it up and add to it. THAT type of riding makes you an awesome rider. Nothing improved my ability more than riding skinnies. Now its all about berms and flow. I live in WNC and need to try and build some stuff up around here. I miss those days.

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  7 лет назад

      Yeah, I kinda miss those old stunts as well. I do like the new school flow stuff, but these skinnies definitely keep you honest.

    I swear we went on the exact same road trip at around the same time. From the 9th the 13th I rode the new Steve Smith bike park in Nanaimo, Cumberland, Mt. Washington, Powell River, CGP, and B&K. I didn't get much footage, so I'm happy to relive it through yours!

      You guys are going to have a great time on the Sunshine coast. Check out the quarry lake on Texada Island.

    Shame it's falling apart. Great riding from both of you. I would have walked most of that. 😳

      Yeah, it's a bit sad. Fingers crossed someone finds some time to fix it up!

      Come to Sunshine Coast Australia and all the trails are to dry and stuffed up we envy this Sunshine Coast in bc haha

  • @hobmarg
    @hobmarg 7 лет назад +3

    Last time I went there in 2015 it was all still rideable but was starting to fade. Sad to see it going, was challenging but relatively low consequence for the most part... I like stuff like that, not a fan of high off the ground where a fall = high chance of broken bones.

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  7 лет назад +1

      Yup.. the higher it gets the more nervous I get. Same width but close to the ground, no problem.

  • @BrianVaughn
    @BrianVaughn 7 лет назад +3

    I have so much trouble with the turns on skinnies. Going wide enough to keep the rear wheel from falling off is hard.

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  7 лет назад +1

      In a lot of cases on this trail you have to hop your rear wheel to get around.

    Impressive skinny riding. I was there in the summer as well and disappointed by the state of those stunts.

    It's so eerie in those woods, I would be in there enjoying the deathly silence. Maybe because its raw audio, it was intense to watch too, maybe because of th discombombulator or the turning teeter totter?

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  6 лет назад

      Turning teeters are always scary as hell! at least that one wasn't so bad..

    Hey brother, love your videos! Just wondering what you shoot in because the footage you're getting is unreal! are you doing 2.4K Wide? or 1080P superview? thanks in advance

      I guess not. :( This kind of trail has fallen out of style unfortunately.

    That trail is a broken wrist waiting to happen

    • @BCpov
      @BCpov  7 лет назад

      It might be one of the reasons why this style of trail isn't popular anymore.

    • @TrevorMay
      @TrevorMay 7 лет назад +4

      I feel modern flow trails are way more dangerous riding at high speeds.

    • @maxdewaele9660
      @maxdewaele9660 7 лет назад

      Trevor May I dont understand why they keep making flow trails when everybody I've seen online wants more steep and chunky terrain

    • @hobmarg
      @hobmarg 7 лет назад

      Agree. Anecdotally, the Whistler Bike Park patrollers I talk to say they pull more bad injuries off the jump trails than the tech.
