I crocheted along with you and made the cutest little ornament to go with a baby blanket I’m gifting for a baby’s first Christmas! Thank you for sharing this awesome tutorial!
I remember making these in the early 70s! We stretched out a wire coat hanger and then used the hook to hang it up…they were beautiful! Thanks for bringing this back!
fantastic!!! would have loved to have seen them, i was born in the 70's 🙂 I made a fabric wreath with a coat hanger in a heart shape when my son was young. thanks so much for watching and your comment xx
@@HandmadebyDiana the fabric wreath, was it made by cutting out a circle, and basting stitches around the edges and pulling the string to form a ‘puff’ of sorts? Or the ripping rectangular pieces and tying them to the hanger? I’ve been thinking of trying to make one again, then came across your video and said: ah, this is infinitely better!
@@annieo54 it was the ripped rectangular pieces , i would take them to a thrift store i worked at and donated them and customers would buy them, i was surprised they even liked them.
This is the best crocheted Christmas wreath I have seen. I’ve probably got red and green yarn somewhere but have sent of for more and as soon as I get it I’ll be starting mine
Hi there Phyllis, I am actually going to use the fabric one i made, (this one) for my front door this yr. ruclips.net/video/YTLYGNedUYs/видео.html Thanks for watching x
This is my first visit and I have to admit I thought the wreath was going to look a bit tacky and old ladyish but how wrong was I? It looks great! I’m going to make one for my front door. Thank you 😊
I know I will have extra green and red after finishing my grandchildren’s Christmas afghans (fiance went yarn shopping 🤣) and now I know next project ♥️🎄
Hi Jessica good question, when you get to the second last round (the double crochet round) see if its as fluffy as what you would like and the center gap is as big as what you want, if not then just add another row of the DC round. 🙂 hope that helps
Hi Caroline, so sorry to disapoint, but i actually learnt to crochet in U.S terms. so all my tutorials etc are in U.S terms. but its very easily converted.
Hi Cindy thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, I am starting to develop arthritis , its no fun at all. the green was a "needles" brand here in Aus, and the red was a "super value" both acrylic. sorry i know that doesnt help. xx
Hi thanks for watching, i dont know which country your in , but most cheap shops in Australia have them in their craft section, if your in America then probably Michaels etc... or the uk, i would say a craft store. 🙂
Lovely design, but it was created by Michael Sellick of The Crochet Crowd many years ago. The only difference is he used a coat hanger for the ring, which isn’t as stable as a solid ring.
It may have been created/shown by some else as well, i make my hair scrunchies this way and thought it could be done on a ring, there are many tutorials out there that are done similar or the same as others. you can adapt it however you want.

Beautiful Diana, I have arthritis in my fingers but, I made give this a go. What brand yarn and colors did you use? Thank you for sharing!
Hi Cindy thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment, I am starting to develop arthritis , its no fun at all. the green was a "needles" brand here in Aus, and the red was a "super value" both acrylic. sorry i know that doesnt help. xx

Dollar store or any craft store.
Ironically I picked up a ring today by happy accident.
Total yards of yarn for project?
good question, but i am so sorry i have no idea, in fact i played yarn chicken with my green.
