Nice video. Pitched D1 15 years ago.. Baseball was an all day affair for you teenagers watching... 4-5 hrs of practice. Weekends on the bus. Non conference mid week games..They own you but you love it!!!
How do you find time to study? Seems super stressful (but fun for the most part). As an engineering student doing only one club once a week I felt like I had to spend 5-6 hours a day on studying and homework together. That combined with baseball and class can't be easy, I imagine you don't get a lot of sleep. Mad respect
Austin Underwood becoming more athletic. Play as many sports as you can and practice your baseball fundamentals over and over. You're too young to worry about scholarships. Just play the game as much as you can and learn to love it. Best of luck my dude.
Jack Maniatis it seems boring to everyone else in your life. Learn to love your process of getting better, practice structure may be similar but each day is a opportunity to learn something new, improve technique or make a difference
I really enjoyed your video! Im on a travel team and are on the way to a D1 baseball college! Thanks for giving me a look at what living the dream is like at NC State! How tough is it being a student athelete at NCS? Thanks
Classes, weights, practices, girlfriends, parents on the weekends, that's what I see following the UNLV baseball team, been with some of them, seen them around, people like top pick Bryson Stott or Kyle Isbel know me,saw many others who were kicking around the minor leagues, after college career, some work for the university!!!
Nathanael the Baller I'm a pitcher. It is definitely a high quality program. The school cares about their program and that's the most important part. In terms of coaching- it changes based on when you're there. Our pitching did not teach me anything new that I had already known from going to junior college. I would say when getting recruited, choose the program for the coaches, not for the fancy field.
Hey Kit you went to SBCC before transferring right? Is SBCC a good school because i'm really considering going there in the fall to take film & television as an international student from Canada, Is it worth it?
star0809fel it's a great school for sure and you'll really enjoy living in SB. The international tuition might be a lot for a junior college education however. Maybe transfer from a Canada juco to UCSB?
Kit Larson Yeah the international tuition is a bit pricey but I can definitely afford it, I just wanna have a good college experience since it's pretty much a one time thing. The main reason I want to go to SBCC is to get out of my comfort zone and become more independent instead of just going to a nearby school where I have a ton a friend's already, etc. Anyway thanks a ton for the advice Kit! 😆
star0809fel moving away from home to SB definitely got me out of my comfort zone. And surprisingly the party scene in IV was a great learning experience for me. You'll have a blast, let me know what you decide
lmao i could tell just by how you did stuff in the first 60 seconds that you were a pitcher have you looked into getting on a throwing program/arm care program by driveline? Lots of great stuff that works mechanics, arm path, command and velo. Consists of a long warm up w/ bands and wrist weights, plyo throws, light WB toss, long recovery w/ bands and plyos. I’ve found it’s really helped with my overall arm health, no hanging arm after bullpens.
This is a really I awsome I'm only 4 years away till I graduated and I'm to get a scholarship to USD And try to get to the pros this really awsome and a new sub.
Nice video man! Two things one I've been told alot of schools even after practice, weight room there's study hall all together is there not here? and two idk if you would know haha but would it be hard to maintain a relationship while playing, just from how busy you'd be
At NCSU the weight room and study halls were all in separate buildings so it was often difficult getting around campus due to stingy university parking. I've had two long distance relationships while a D1 athlete and I will say it definitely comes with challenges but its possible. Thanks for the comment Matt!
Yo,keep up the good work,im in 14u and just came up from 12u and I'm the best in my area and I want to be where you are,one day you will be in the majors on the front cover.👍🏻

So it's exactly the same as the average day in the life of a Division II or Division III baseball player, except with nicer stuff and less tuition
Yup

Coby Gardner it's a very credible university. It will challenge you if you commit to it but is manageable
Okay thank you for the feedback! I am deeply considering the university, and it seems like a great school, both academically and athletically!
What mount are you wearing for GoPro?
Sawnh no joke I held the go pro in my mouth while filming this haha
Kit Larson and nobody cared also what mouth mount?
Sawnh I got a couple laughs but then they ignored it.
It was just rigged together. It wasn’t a legit GoPro mount accessory.
Kit Larson alright cool
