Even my neighbors loved this set! They kept knocking on the walls, screaming and whistling with the music... Finally they threw a rock through my window to hear the music better. Love it!

Because of this set, I have attended Loveland this year... What a festival!! Great venue, amazing line up and crowd. Also fair prices. Heineken 5 euros. I'll be there every year from now on.

Saw Guy J last weekend , he played a 5 hour set. It was incredible and impossible to leave the dance area , whole club loving it.....go see him if you can , you won't regret it ! ❤
Literally impossible to leave the dance floor. I hate using words for the sake of it but the way he constructs a set is transcending. He’s in his own space, musically; other DJ’s play progressive house, others play tracks like his, but none build an entire set the way Guy J does. What an artist.
Another mind blowing set, never disappoints. Imagine the track list will be mostly ‘Guy J - ID’ because only he can make masterpieces like that and never release them - in it for the love of progressive, not money. My hero!!
I kinda hated the unreleased IDs, but i guess that’s part of the charm. Also how he use third deck to loop hi hats so it sounded constant throughout the set
@@packfadly actually it's an important quality for the scene. Not only masterpieces, also edits, mashups or remixes, makes the djset more identity with the artist. Also is fun to participate with everybody in clubs or here in youtube investigating and sharing. It's fun 😁 But, yes, my Shazam cries all the time with J guy, but much more with Traumer, can't catch anything🙃 btw if I'm not wrong Traumer also use cdjs for sampling. Not sure what/how.

I've seen him multiple times, including at LL this year. fantastic.. saw him in Tulum two weeks later, and he played a 2hr set of the same aggressive and heavy vibes.. the guy can't do anything wrong. saw him do a 6hr solo set in LA of a more melodic and deeper vibe, which was what I'd hoped, and it was fantastic. been digging his more aggressive vibe lately, though. he always has phenomenal tunes

Listening and watching this set and seeing that most people at the party are 40+ years old made me think that this style of music is more for middle-aged people. This style I like a lot and I believe I used to have a similar style for my music as well, and I think that this music has a lot in common with progressive used to be. I am also close to my 40s and I guess that younger generations simply do not have patience for the music with slow arrangement and music that needs more time to connect with. The main goal of this music is the atmosphere and the story while 90% of music became uplifting and this is what is mostly popular today. Do you think anyone who would start with this style today could gain some attention and success. In my opinion artist like GMJ, Mattan Caspi and Sten Kolev do not have the success they deserve. Does anyone have a similar opinion?
You're spot on mate. Entry in to the electronic music scene normally comes through the 'tech house' genre. It's fast paced, and simple. If people like the scene enough they will eventually delve further and discover prog/deep house etc...

This style I like a lot and I believe I used to have a similar style for my music as well, and I think that this music has a lot in common with progressive used to be. I am also close to my 40s and I guess that younger generations simply do not have patience for the music with slow arrangement and music that needs more time to connect with. The main goal of this music is the atmosphere and the story while 90% of music became uplifting and this is what is mostly popular today. Do you think anyone who would start with this style today could gain some attention and success. In my opinion artist like GMJ, Mattan Caspi and Sten Kolev do not have the success they deserve. Does anyone have a similar opinion?
You're spot on mate. Entry in to the electronic music scene normally comes through the 'tech house' genre. It's fast paced, and simple. If people like the scene enough they will eventually delve further and discover prog/deep house etc...
@@dominicnortney3633 I have started to listening to deep house in my 18-17, now i'm turning 21 and all i can hear is prop/deep, melodic techno, ambient techno, i cannot tolerate some hard techno anymore, i love this prog genre, i found myself within it.
