Not in the market for a new bike but I really appreciate what Cannondale has done with the Topstone (I have an OG 105 aluminum as my commuter). A great price point, actual functional "adventure" fork mounts, and a geometry that allows me to comfort in jeans or lyrca. I'm lukewarm on the oxblood (Trek called it viper blood like 10 years ago when they did it), I really like the hard fade idea to the matte black here. Thanks for sharing!
New SRAM Eagle Transmission on that bike would be a dream! With the mid-suspension ‘Ted King’ pivot, I was hoping for some upfront cushion (i .e. Rockshox Rudy, as in the Yt Szepter).
They're hanging in a museum. That museum happens to be my attic. Kidding kidding, some breakdown of given away to friends and family, some are sold, some go back to the companies. It's a random mix.
Cannondale makes nice looking bikes but they seem to be the worst fitting frames compounded with confusing sizing (49,50,52 and S,M,L) keeping the straight top tube makes stand over terrible for smaller riders on frames that otherwise fit. Some frames I’m 48/49 while others 50 or XS/S….I’ve given up on cannondale as a result. I wish I could make it work…I’ll enjoy videos like this though.
@@kimwarner6050 cannondale is as far as I can tell the worst fitting frames in the game unless you meet an ideal body type…they are not very DEI friendly from a sizing standpoint.
trying to figure out the wheel choice. Zipp aero carbon rims but a chunky ass stem and non aero handlebars? Why tf did you add a dropper if the goal of the frame was to make it lighter? Makes absolutely no sense! and SRAM?!?!
Wicked Pissah Cool Top Stone! Color scheme is unbelievable
Sweet ride

Hey Ted, love your stuff! How about an update on ride quality, responsiveness, +/- with SE
I just ordered my frame last Friday. I hope it gets here in time for Gravels Locos on May 22nd for LA LOCA 155.
Incredible

do you think the top boss mounts could handle a carseat? That'd be a selling point.
They really missed the mark on the matte black part.....nude carbon with a nice clearcoat would've looked sooooo much better with the maroon
I saw this already. Did you release the topstone too early?
I just got mine today… they shipped a LEFTY fork with the frame… I was like WTF??? A bit surprised and disappointed at the same time😂
@Ted King, is that regular RED crank or pro only Wide version?
Wow. Is that the stock build for Joe public?
I am hesitant with the Zipp bars being Aluminum - i mean, i am so used to Carbon that dampens chatter. Is it noticeable?
what is the total weight of the bike?
Where is its Lefty?
Phew !! No lights and radar. Glad to see these gone.
No internal cables 😔
What, no Lefty?
Are you going to ride the Topstone Lab71 or SuperSix Evo at unbound?
@Ted King what happens to all your "old" bikes? totally unrelated fact, I do believe I am the same size as you...

Those huge tires needed a drop in chain ring size. Very nice. I have 3 Cannondales now so I am gonna pass on this one.
I have a similar bat signal.
I'd like to buy the t-shirt
Thing I like most is the rim brake mounting hole in the front fork. Might come in handy when you decide you prefer rim brakes after all...
Dynamo light mount... Wich is indeed handy on a bike like this.
No one's gonna put a rim brake on this. Dynamo light or mini front rack is what it's gonna be used for most likely.
bella ted
Cool bike!! Ted wearing a crop top however is concerning….

Yep not to mention the reach. I'm 4'11 and that's why I ride pinarello. Reach for any xs bike should never be more than 360
