It's kind of surprising coming from Short, who takes the time to write 3-5 minutes of custom material for whatever talk show he's going on. But this is a somewhat lazy effort with these Glick events. He sweats his balls off in that getup, under the best of conditions. Notably, there are no gymnastics or pratfalls in this appearance. Yet, he still pulls it off. She did fine for a young athlete. Give her a break. She is not a member of the glee club or a thespian. She was game. Kudos.
While it WAS a make-up catastrophe, Short was no hero. His make-up for these events was exactly the same half-assed effort. Just like his repeated material. The same lines over and over. Definitely a career low for Short, who was apparently hard up for money 10-15 years ago when he set up these appearance fee bookings. @@4seeableTV That is an exceedingly harsh critique. I do not share your perspective. Have you considered that the whole Jimminy Glick prosthetics and wardrobe gestalt is intentionally badly done? The B grade presentation is at the core of the bitter grandiosity and pathos of this character. The Jimminy Glick character is pure genius. If that's "phoning it in", then I will accept the collect charges from the comedy prison.
She was giving him NOTHING but he was still so amazing. Martin Short is such a professional. Even when paired with an uninteresting person who doesn’t have a fucking clue why this could be funny.

Brilliant, 2 of my favourite things, a atheltic 6 5 nice and attractive amazon, and a top of his game top of the tree comedian, she did well really, he's a clever guy, (Very high iq), and if you give a comedian a bite, he can tear you to shreds, it's their instinct, so she played it well, great for her, and great for him,
