The first song my daughter ever sang. I was a single dad, entirely unprepared for parenthood. She was barely older than a baby, I'd waltz around my apartment with her in my arms and she started singing the 'Oooh-Ooooh' parts, with a big grin on her face. That's when I knew everything would be okay.
I still listen to this song every day. Every night in the middle of the night I blast it as loud as my speakers can manage and sing along at the top of my lungs. I cry my eyes out and it feels better than any song … it never ceases to break my heart into more pieces while simultaneously showing me how they’ll fit back together if I just let them go
Hung out with a friend I have a crush on today. Taught them how to longboard and they taught me how to smile. 89.3 the current played this on the radio as I drove through some curvy roads on my way home. Feeling alright with life, on equal terms is a rare occasion to some people. Doing mighty fine hope you are too
@@GpeterKostwinderWe’re currently house shopping. I plan on proposing in less than a year. The most interesting person you’ll ever meet might be sitting on a bench right next to you but you’ll never know unless you start up a conversation.
I remember when your band played this in a basement cool place in NYC... As soon as you started to fade out of this song, only about 50 of us there, I shouted at you all - PLAY IT AGAIN! And the entire band laughed. I presume because you all know, this song... it's transcendental. I'll never forget this moment. And I'll never, ever, get bored of this song. Or this video. Thank you so very much ❤️
I'm not really into folk music, but this right here, this hits me really hard. I feel this very deeply, and it is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Lyrics: Think of a place I would go I'm daydreamin' Where the sycamore grow I'm daydreamin' And oh if you knew what it meant to me Where the air was so clear Oh if you knew what it meant to me Anywhere but here Oh now look to the east Great mountains remember me Oh I wound around you for miles I sat down right there and stretched my bones And oh if you knew what it meant to me Oh if you knew what it meant to me Oh if you knew what it meant to me You would see, too Oh oh oh oh oh Oh the unspeakable things It's land I can see for miles With only the wind whispering Land I can see for miles With only the wind whispering Oh land I can see for miles With only the wind whispering Oh I'd run as fast as I can The land I can see for miles Oh I'm searching With only the wind whispering Oh if you knew what it meant to me Oh if you knew what it meant to me Oh if you knew what it meant to me You would see, too Oh oh oh oh oh Oh the unspeakable things Oh oh oh oh oh Oh the unspeakable things Oh the unspeakable things Oh the unspeakable things
This is song is a beautiful melancholy, a rock of unquoted loves in the chest. A pinch of blue feelings after the reunion with those who had to depart mixed with the uncontournable desire to meet them again. Cheers to the “unspeakable things”!
This is still one of my very favorite songs. Reminds me of a simpler, more romantic time in this earth circle. Our hearts broken raw through what moved through us in sweaty basements, backyard bonfires, and re-enlivened spaces across this increasingly disassociated, dystopic landscape. The seeds planted in these moments are only germinating as we age. Grateful to have been present. Thank you deeply.
This is so mindblowing! The filters, grain, shaky-cam... it looks spot on like a 60's or 70's video. I actually thought it was stock footage for a few seconds. Really well put together!
Gtfo FFF-Kiddo. The world will outlive us all and there’s nothing you can do about it. Now take your fragile self image and work on it so you can become a strong and independent adult and don’t fall for the next cult.
I've been listening to this song on repeat for the past two days. It's so beautiful. Great Job guys, what a fantastic song. Brings tears to my eyes sometimes.
I organised for them to play once in a nowheresville place outside of London. They were supersweet and just happy to play. RUclips remembered and bought me here. Still a gorgeous song!
I didnt attend last year but I went with a friend who did and she said the improvements were quite vast. I couldnt fault it at all. The art exhibitions, the fantasic music, tons of toilets, tons of food, plenty of bar's if you're after a drink. It really was just awesome. I once climbed a mountain in the Sierra Nevada... after 3 days of backpacking. It was hot and dry and we were low on food and had about 8 miles to get back to base camp before dark. When we finally hit the summit and could see everything around... that part of the song came into my head "great mountain... remember me..."
im friends with their manager and i remember seeing them before he signed them. they have come such a long way. the first time i saw them was at the white house in Boston. it was in someones dimly lit living room packed with like 35 people. just amazing. they were promoting snow magic at the time. im so glad Tom signed them. lets see LMFAO write something this amazing.

damn almost a million views, i remember finding these guys 4 or 5 years ago and thinking, damn this is indie as fuck. lol. such a beautiful song, glad to see it being heard.

True!
Agree! And they often share music with Degrassi; great music choices there too.

Callie and Arizona introduced me with this son several years ago, and since then this is one of the best songs I have ever heard!
The "ooh ooh" part caught me of guard. I love being surprised by music.

Where the air was so clear
Oh if you knew what it meant to me

I sat down right there and stretched my bones
And oh if you knew what it meant to me
Oh if you knew what it meant to me
Oh if you knew what it meant to me
You would see, too
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh the unspeakable things
It's land I can see for miles
With only the wind whispering
Land I can see for miles
With only the wind whispering
Oh land I can see for miles
With only the wind whispering
Oh I'd run as fast as I can
The land I can see for miles
Oh I'm searching
With only the wind whispering
Oh if you knew what it meant to me
Oh if you knew what it meant to me
Oh if you knew what it meant to me
You would see, too
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh the unspeakable things
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh the unspeakable things
