Love the Lake District had summer hols there this year it has similar weather to us in scotland always raining 😂 plan to return soon. I was told to get into nature more as well reduce stress and improve circulation did contemplate open water swimmer . But Ive had raynaud's since young but got worse since I hit my 50's and developing rheumatoid arthritis because of it now. So I appreciate how you feel that some days are hard. Love the video though great escapism
Thank you so much for your kind 'Super Thanks'! That's so generious of you! Haha yes that doesn't surprise me, I think we're the wettest place in the country 😅 Sorry to hear of your health complications. I imagine the cold water would be counterproductive for your Raynaud's? Hopefully you can wrap up nice and walk and enjoy the walking nonetheless. For hiking, I always wear proper outdoor mittens instead of gloves as my hands get very cold and slow going into winter and I find mittens help to keep my hands so much warmer. Enjoy your wanders 😊
I really feel for you both... I've been there with my border collie. He ran all the way home too. So clever. He's no longer with me now in body and I miss him every day. Glad you're back I find your videos so peaceful and calming to watch. Take care both of you xx

Aw that means so much, thank you. I have a lot of improvements to make and I'll never reach that level, but it's so kind of you to appreciate my efforts ♥️
Excellent Video, Immensely Peaceful. I had a dog (beagle) once myself & I let him roam free when climbing the foothills of North Georgia, USA. I lost poor Levi so I got very emotional when I heard of what happened to Cam. So glad he/she is okay now.
Your marriage of image and music and your evocative color grading is such a treat! Wordsworth would appreciate the rhythmical creation of beauty that your cinematography captures. Cam is the best of companions, too, especially on such a courageous, more vulnerable excursion as this. But I am reminded by your example, "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." I suspect you know the author. Thank you, and cheers to your coziness. Thank you for inviting us along!
You are an amazing film maker. You produce wonderfully relaxing yet inspirational videos. You have a great eye for pleasing compositions and a truly great ear for appropriate soundtracks. I am sorry you and beautiful spaniel had a traumatic experience at the hands of people and their out of control and untrained dogs. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and cold swimming was just a part of life. There is something mystical about swimming in cold water while it's raining. The quieted forests of Autumn create the perfect blank canvas for the sounds of the rain and rivers. It's just so peaceful.
@@FablesandFells the Cascade foothills, anywhere near Mount Hood, is just excellent. If you ever make it back out there, check out some of the main mountains. Dormant volcanoes covered in snow make for a beautiful background while going for a cold dip! 😊

Great to see him out loving life again! People have no idea the damage out of control dogs can do both physically and emotionally. Amazing he found his way home, they surprise us every day! He’s a lucky boy to have you 🖤

I love that you don't post so frequently, but I am really sorry to hear that chronic pain may be at least part of the reason. I'm a lecturer in Geography, and I teach all of our first-year students in the Lake District at Bowscale Tarn every year, so I can relate to how important getting out in nature is...even if it is rarer than we would perhaps like. I feel like your videos always seem to arrive at exactly the right time. I have felt terrible for a couple of weeks, and it's amazing how much this video has reset my priorities. Thank you :)
I'm so glad they resonate with you. Hats off to you for doing such a full on job while managing that condition! That's wonderful that you take them into the Lakes. Thanks so much for watching 😊

Brilliant video as always. Lovely editing. Lord of the rings has inspired my love for nature and adventure, so it's wonderful to see others that have clearly taken the same inspiration from those books and films. Glad to hear Cam is doing well, I remember seeing your IG post about him. Please continue to make these videos if you can, they bring me a sense of calmness similar to one of my favourite tv shows, Detectorists. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it. I'm not and likely never will be into metal detecting, but the show brings an indescribable peacefulness to me, and displays the joys of nature in a wholesome way. It's also a good laugh too.
Ahh thank you 😊 I have seen it but not watched it properly, so I will have to go find it again. I have actually been casually interested in doing some detecting 😄

Truly like to thank you for such a beautiful video, wow the colours and the beauty of the Lake District. I also suffer from a inflammatory disease which totally takes a toll. But my biggest help and medicine is the great outdoors really does help. Take care 🙏
Hi Chloe and Cam, so sorry to hear of Cams ordeal. Glad he is better. He is amazing and the two of you make the most beautiful, empowering and tranquil videos. Thank you for sharing. It really helps. P
Very lovely photography and some great quotes. I feel like I've walked alongside you for a quarter hour .. woodland wonders...and edifying treks .. (regards from the dry Australian pre-summer. ) Adam
Thanks Adam! Glad you could share in some of our rainy weather for a few minutes! I wouldn't mind a little dry Australia weather by February, everywhere becomes a mud slide 😅
Just beautiful film, Wow the production is fab and the whole thing is a work of art !!! The swim reminded me of a crazy New years eve camping near Tarn Hows (minus 13 that evening) The next morning we went to the Tarn and it was frozen over. We even walked around the edge. Magical lord of the rings stuff !!!
Swimming in the water then drinking in that scenery is good for the soul I recently found wild swimming and am all the better for it thank you for a lovely video
Looks such a perfect day spent with the best companion anyone can ask for. I plan to get out more this Autumn with my pooches. one is 12 now so he can't go far but the other, a 2 year old cockerpoo will run for miles. I'm so please Cam has recovered well.
Trust "Old Faithful"... All the way across the walkway and all the way back... Then jumps in. Brilliant!! Just discovered your last Hardknott vid then this came up. Consider me subscribed.. Excellent, Peaceful.. Isn't this what living should be about?. Thanks for making a vid that makes people think. : )
I do understand your pain, many years ago I broke my back and tore a bunch of muscles and damaged nerves. I have been living in constant pain since. It took me a while to be able to get out and start doing things again. And tomorrow I'm going on my first solo hike in camp in many, many years. May even post it at some point.
I have chronic joint pain, I have a very odd kind of long Covid. I love and live in the countryside, and cold water dips this time of the year is absolutely the most refreshing thing in the world. I am in Scotland as opposed to the Lakes though, but I fully support your struggle! Keep going, and revel in what makes you happy. The cinematography was amazing too
Aw thank you, but I wouldn't be jealous. I was in a lot of pain creating this and the amount of computer hours I had to put in to complete it only made my body worse off. I think talent (as much as I appreciate your kind words) is really just effort and anyone can put that in 🙏
I'm so sorry to hear about the dog attack, dog fights can be so vicious. Thank you for sharing your health struggles as well. Sending gentle healing thoughts to both of you ❤️
Always love watching these. This one especially, as I recover from a Major (Cancer) operation. These videos are inspirational. Awful experience with those dogs, and pleased that he is OK. Sadly such cases are on the increase!!! As the owner of two Cocker Spaniels, and spending lots of time with them in The Lakes, I find your content, editing and narration, truly awesome.
Thanks so much. Wishing you well on your recovery. Are you back on your feet yet? I hope it's not too long till you're walking through the lakes with your spaniels once more 🙏
Been a long struggle, but (hopefully) the worst behind me now. Still watching these videos and enjoying. Been back into The Lakes briefly for a few nights, which was awesome. Health permitting, then hopefully back to more times (with the dogs), in The Lakes. Your videos being inspirational and therapeutic. @@FablesandFells
That was a great 14 minutes. Dogs are one of mankind's greatest blessings. Sorry to hear about your inflammatory issues. I too suffer. Vegetable seed oils, rapeseed and sunflower can contribute, and they are in so many foods. . Worth a little research. Olive oil, butter and lard/dripping were what our ancestors ate. Covid interventions have also caused issues. I wish you well. Your grounding is admirable.
Enjoyed the video as usual - exceptionally well produced. I too like autumn, it is the best season. I was out yesterday in the Peak District and the colours are just great. Looking forward to your next video.
Wonderful to see you back! I have missed your videos! I had forgotten just how soothing your voice can be. Glad that your pup is better. Will keep your health in my prayers. Looking forward to your next adventure. As always, your filming and editing are the best.
Hi Chloe Please be careful when burning candles or having fires in closed spaces. The pm2.5s they build up can be at concentrations many times that of a busy roadside. Use a high capacity air purifier that removes them and smaller particles. Or better get electric copies. They can aggravate chronic inflammatory disease and stay in the body for as long as three months.
I always enjoy you’re adventures, you have something special there with that spiritual connection with those fabulous surroundings and that little bundle of energetic enthusiasm that’s doubling up on distance on all these stunning walks…😍
My dear friend Chloe, it is so very good to see you and Cam. It was a wonderful experience to chill with you. This video is as beautiful as your soul. Thank you for sharing this and being so open. Do take care of yourself and I'm looking forward to seeing you again ❤.
Such a beautiful soul. Watching your videos is so calming, love them. Dog attacks can be so traumatic for both you and your dog. Mine was attacked a few years ago, he came out with some pretty serious wounds. The way I dealt with it was to get us both straight back out there interacting with other dogs. I didn’t try to keep him away as some would frightened something wound happen. I think doing this help him (and me if I’m honest) overcome any lingering fear. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your next adventure 😊
So sorry to hear that. I'm glad your is doing better. I gave him some decompression time and then I organised some walks with calm dogs so that has worked well for him. He's endured so many incidents now I was worried this would be the last straw but he's done so well 😊
Another beautiful video. I don't know how you manage to make the lakes look even more magical and mystical than they already are but you do!! It's like looking at middle earth. Also please to hear Cam has bounced back. Give it time but your confidence will grow again. ♥️
Lovely soulful content, I also had the trauma and still do when one of my whippets had a serious injury out in the wilds, 4 mile hike back carrying him was hell, 2 years on he still bears the scars and he can never go into the wilds again. ❤❤
Thanks for the video lovely to see that your still out walking with cam what a beautiful soul , and enjoying the lakes and wild swimming , just fantastic looking forward to the next vlogs thank you 😀👍
You are a beautiful soul ❤️ keep up the good work. I manage my inflammatory issues with Yoga, Wild Swimming, Cold showers and also avoiding trigger foods. You are an inspiration. Sorry to hear about your ordeal with the dogs. Your dog is gorgeous ❤❤ I'm also a big LOTR fan, finally saw them in the cinema recently with the 22 year old son, who was a baby when the films came out!
Thank you for your kind words Connie ❤️ I'm the same, though I need to get a lot more consistent with the yoga. I'm so glad you have found the films haha. I was around 11 years old when they came out and they really stand the test of time.
I hope it was the extended version x loved this video . I'm struggling at the moment with mental health and this is exactly what I need to chill me out xx ❤❤
Too cold for me to swim, I'm a northerner. But it's a journey we're all on and the 1000 mile journey begins with a single step. Maybe I'll wild swim in autumn one day.
So sorry about cam and your good self it's always a pleasure to watch your video's as they do help me unwind from recently hard times, glad cam is doing great I lost my beautiful dog 21 & yes still so hard, love watching you & your dog out and listening to gentle music and aways great video. Sorry if I've made spelling errors as I always watch my video in bed and my eyes apparently seems to be getting terrible great video brilliant as always ❤
Sure, I actually love watching Q&As just never imagined doing one myself 😄 Keep an eye on the community tab and if I do one, I'll post there for Q's, or just let me know any and I'll start a list!

Truly like to thank you for such a beautiful video, wow the colours and the beauty of the Lake District. I also suffer from a inflammatory disease which totally takes a toll. But my biggest help and medicine is the great outdoors really does help. Take care 🙏
Thanks so much Chris. Sorry you are suffering with that. I'm glad you find solace in nature too.
Really enjoyed you sharing your journey about the health problems so inspiring of you, take care and stay safe ❤❤
Thank you and thanks for watching 🙏🏼

Coffee In The Woods ☕️ I can think of nothing better!
Hi Chloe and Cam, so sorry to hear of Cams ordeal. Glad he is better. He is amazing and the two of you make the most beautiful, empowering and tranquil videos. Thank you for sharing. It really helps. P
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Very lovely photography and some great quotes.
Thanks so much Paul. What an experience! I love Tarn Hows, though sadly I think it's been plagued with ash dieback.
Been there a few times recently and the poor trees !!! Look forward to more films and some positivity @@FablesandFells
Swimming in the water then drinking in that scenery is good for the soul I recently found wild swimming and am all the better for it thank you for a lovely video
Thanks for watching Victoria 😊 Glad you enjoyed it and have been getting out too 🏊♀️
Excellent content and video capture! Love Cam jumping in the muddy stream... just because...
Haha always, he's a mud magnet 🐾
Thank you M'lady, for another glimpse into the pasadise of nature.
Thanks for your watches 🙏
Great video, nothing better than a wild swim and a picnic. thanks
Chloe another beautiful film... I wish people could watch on TV
Thanks Tim! You can watch on the TV if you have a smart TV and download the RUclips app 😊 I watch all RUclips on the TV.
What a great tumpnail! I loooove it! The colours looks so great!🔥🌲
Aw thank you 😊
Looks such a perfect day spent with the best companion anyone can ask for. I plan to get out more this Autumn with my pooches. one is 12 now so he can't go far but the other, a 2 year old cockerpoo will run for miles. I'm so please Cam has recovered well.
Yes he absolutely loves being in the woods and swimming. I hope you all.enjoy your wanders 🐾
Trust "Old Faithful"... All the way across the walkway and all the way back... Then jumps in. Brilliant!! Just discovered your last Hardknott vid then this came up. Consider me subscribed.. Excellent, Peaceful.. Isn't this what living should be about?. Thanks for making a vid that makes people think. : )
This was a very cozy and peaceful video.
Glad you found it cosy 😊
I do understand your pain, many years ago I broke my back and tore a bunch of muscles and damaged nerves. I have been living in constant pain since. It took me a while to be able to get out and start doing things again. And tomorrow I'm going on my first solo hike in camp in many, many years. May even post it at some point.
I'm sorry to hear that, I can't imagine how tough that must have been! How did your hike & camp go??
I have chronic joint pain, I have a very odd kind of long Covid. I love and live in the countryside, and cold water dips this time of the year is absolutely the most refreshing thing in the world. I am in Scotland as opposed to the Lakes though, but I fully support your struggle! Keep going, and revel in what makes you happy. The cinematography was amazing too
Sorry to hear that but glad you are getting to enjoy the Scottish countryside, it's absolutely beautiful.
Your film work is fantastic. I find myself being jealous of people with your talent. You make it look so easy.
Aw thank you, but I wouldn't be jealous. I was in a lot of pain creating this and the amount of computer hours I had to put in to complete it only made my body worse off. I think talent (as much as I appreciate your kind words) is really just effort and anyone can put that in 🙏
Glad to see you and Cam back, and pleased you’re both doing good now. Another stunningly beautiful video 👍
Thanks for coming back and watching 😊
A beautiful video from a lovely lady. I’m glad your dog is ok. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching 😊
I'm so sorry to hear about the dog attack, dog fights can be so vicious.
Thank you for sharing your health struggles as well. Sending gentle healing thoughts to both of you ❤️
Thanks so much ❤️
Always love watching these.

Amazing and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤
Sending a pat on tbe head for your doggo ❤
Ahh thank you, he loves attention 😄
My second view of your channel. Your dog loves you…..that makes you special by me. I’ll listen for his name.
Thanks for watching 😊 His name is Cam 🐾
That was a great 14 minutes. Dogs are one of mankind's greatest blessings. Sorry to hear about your inflammatory issues. I too suffer. Vegetable seed oils, rapeseed and sunflower can contribute, and they are in so many foods. . Worth a little research. Olive oil, butter and lard/dripping were what our ancestors ate. Covid interventions have also caused issues. I wish you well. Your grounding is admirable.
Thanks so much. Dogs sure are. Thanks for the thoughts, I have studied nutritional health coaching so definitely feel you on that side of things.
So sorry to hear about your friend but glad they’ve recovered to full health. A beautiful video as always, wish I’d watched it sooner
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Beautiful scenery, especially when you're in it...
Wonderful video. Glad you two are healing somewhat. Cam clearly got over it and was having a wonderful time.
Thanks Terry, yes he has bounced back well 🐾
You can tell that you spend alot of time and effort making your videos. You always capture the beauty of where you are perfectly 👍
Thanks Jake, I have a seized back at the moment so it was a bit of a griz doing all of those computer hours haha but I really enjoy it.
@@FablesandFellssorry to hear about your health complaints. At least you don’t let it stop you doing what you enjoy. ATB
Awesome. Beautifully filmed once again and I just love the kit “Cam wears” 👍 Glad he’s okay
Thank you, haha yes he's well kitted out 😄
Enjoyed the video as usual - exceptionally well produced. I too like autumn, it is the best season. I was out yesterday in the Peak District and the colours are just great. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks Geoffrey, glad you enjoyed it. Love the Peak!
Wonderful to see you back! I have missed your videos! I had forgotten just how soothing your voice can be. Glad that your pup is better. Will keep your health in my prayers. Looking forward to your next adventure. As always, your filming and editing are the best.
Thanks so much for continuing to watch Oliver 🙏
Hi Chloe
Please be careful when burning candles or having fires in closed spaces. The pm2.5s they build up can be at concentrations many times that of a busy roadside. Use a high capacity air purifier that removes them and smaller particles. Or better get electric copies. They can aggravate chronic inflammatory disease and stay in the body for as long as three months.
Thanks for the thought 🙏
Hi Chloe - just discovered your channel...so happy and peaceful! I love it. I'll keep watching. Thank you.
Thanks so much 😊
What a calming video/channel! Something about these vids draw out some introspection. And sweet Lord of the Rings vibes xD
Thanks so much. Haha I'm always trying to get LoTR in wherever I can 😄
Your dog is cool. I hope he recovers fully from his trauma. Best wishes.
Thanks Tim, he's doing really well 😊
I always enjoy you’re adventures, you have something special there with that spiritual connection with those fabulous surroundings and that little bundle of energetic enthusiasm that’s doubling up on distance on all these stunning walks…😍
Thank you! Haha yes he always does at least double the distance, likely more, he's always so excited to explore 😄
Another wonderful video.
I feel so relaxed and calm.
Aw that's lovely to hear 😊
My dear friend Chloe, it is so very good to see you and Cam. It was a wonderful experience to chill with you. This video is as beautiful as your soul. Thank you for sharing this and being so open. Do take care of yourself and I'm looking forward to seeing you again ❤.
Thank you Larry, glad to bring you along 🌲
He's endured so many incidents now I was worried this would be the last straw but he's done so well 😊
That was great, a concentrated shot of nature. Loved the lotr references 👍
Thank you 😊
@@FablesandFellsyou're welcome, it was lovely 😊
Nice work on getting home safe Cam. Top dog.
He sure is 😊
That pizza looked amazing!
The only thing missing was as a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon!❤
Haha classy pizza 🥂

Another beautiful video. I don't know how you manage to make the lakes look even more magical and mystical than they already are but you do!! It's like looking at middle earth.
Also please to hear Cam has bounced back. Give it time but your confidence will grow again. ♥️
Ahh thank you, I'm always looking for the magic in things so glad you are getting a little of that come through 😊
Missed seeing both you and Cam. Glad you are both back and doing well...
Thanks William, glad you came back to watch 🙏
Lovely soulful content, I also had the trauma and still do when one of my whippets had a serious injury out in the wilds, 4 mile hike back carrying him was hell, 2 years on he still bears the scars and he can never go into the wilds again. ❤❤
Oh that's so sad, I'm so sorry to hear that. Poor boy 😞
Another beautifully shot and edited video. With some incredibly wise and calming words :)
Thanks guys, love your adventures on Insta 😊
Love your channel, and your dog, what a little star.

Thanks so much Brian 😊
Haha always ⚔️ Sorry to hear that, I'm so glad it could.bring you a little calmness.
What a beautiful story! What a great dog! Stay connected to nature. Slow living. Cheers from Canada! 🏕
Thanks for coming along 🇨🇦
You create a really serene mood through your videos. Really excellent.
Thanks JP 😊
Too cold for me to swim, I'm a northerner. But it's a journey we're all on and the 1000 mile journey begins with a single step.
Maybe I'll wild swim in autumn one day.
Early September can be a nice time. You can still get some sunny days with warm air temperature and it tends to be quieter after the summer rush.
Thanks for always watching them Peter, I appreciate it 🙏 Sorry about your dog, they are such beautiful souls.
BEAUTIFUL and Relaxing Video .. Soo HAPPY your Pup is OK after the attack .!!! Such a Loving Companion ... Your picnic lunch was tasty .. 👍👧🐕😃🤗🇺🇸
Thanks Larry, he's a lovely boy 🐾
Would you consider doing a sit down Q&A with yourself and Ryan? It would be a great opportunity for people to get to know you both better ❤
Sure, I actually love watching Q&As just never imagined doing one myself 😄 Keep an eye on the community tab and if I do one, I'll post there for Q's, or just let me know any and I'll start a list!
So sad about the irresponsible other dog owners that didn't have their dogs under control. Really glad your dog made it home he's lovely just like you ❤
Thank you, he's such a sweet boy, he never bothers anyone so it is very sad but he's doing really well 😊
