- I know how much you all love full story videos covering an entire event in marvel comics so here's the crossover of the summer with Avengers vs Men vs Eternals Full Story! The *X-Men* have achieved immortality and mutants have taken their place as the dominant species on the planet. The *Eternals* have discovered long hidden knowledge about their species, including a devastating truth about mutantkind. The *Avengers* have come into direct conflict with the Celestials and are currently using a fallen Celestial as their base of operations, slowly unlocking its secrets… When the Eternals brazenly target the mutant nation of Krakoa, the Avengers try desperately to de-escalate a potentially apocalyptic war. But this is no simple conflict. The Eternals’ purpose cannot be denied and mutantkind’s future will not be threatened. Also shows this Celestial's jaggoff moral reletivism is arrogant, self-centered and reinforces the injustice of power structures as they are - even whilst critiquing them. And because of it's stance it's doomed to be immoral if it acts or if it refuses to.
It's certainly more interesting than just having a vague set of rules. It's clearly both utilitarian, deontological and consequentialist in some vain attempt to unify the human experience of morality - and show that it's lacking too. But yeah judging people by their own standards for themselves is something that only works in fiction either way - if they pass like Doom or fail like Daredevil - both are dumb based on their framing of it, and it's more wack that he respects those who reject his authority for judgement in the manner of an arrogant self righteous masculine narcissist but... yknow in the manner of others doing the same. The tests were at least diverse. I do think his read that his messaging about Captain America's test is a metaphor about America though.
In this story Magneto was like an MVP for this story . This was one of the most controversial story that I ever read by an X-Men story . Everything that the X-men did they can’t never catch a break with someone/something trying to take out the mutant race . One hella story !!!

So yes magneto was missing his heart but also probably a section of his spine and lungs, he's doing alot more then just keeping his blood flowing with his powers, he's literally controlling his entire nerv system as well as delivering oxygen to his blood.

sometimes magneto has been referred to as just below molecule man in terms of sheer power. he definitely has the willpower. he took that mutant drug and sat down in meditation and brought kitty back from across the galaxy when she was trapped in that giant metal bullet. he has built asteroid M singlehandedly too, so he is no slouch.
The art in these comic books now is just off the charts it's just not even normal it's just amazing

I like the Lovecraftian "There is some unbeatable thing out there that is always watching you, and you can't do anything to stop it"-type of ending. I kinda saw this "Immediate Reset Button" the moment they wiped the field clean of all those characters. The moment it was implied that Spider-Man was offed by the Celestial, I knew they were going to undo everything with little to no consequences by the end.

It's interesting that Moira is an X-Men enemy in terms of stories, but I'm still depressed. She was an ally for such a long time.
Beast has also taken a somewhat villainous turn. It's a bit of a downer.

Well... Angel became a horseman of Apocalypse, Iceman switched from being hetero to homosexual and an Omega, Cyclops ran off on his wife to go back to his ex, and then cheated again so he is a douche, Xavier it turns out enslaved the danger room among other heinous things like ignoring his son... the original X-men have gone through a lot of changes and except Bobby have all been villains which is why we can't have nice things.

For the first 15 minutes of this video I kept thinking it was the Inhumans instead of the Eternals and i was like.. the mutants should be able to demolish the Inhumans lol.

Maybe I just don’t know enough about Uranos, but the hardest thing for me to believe is that he killed all the mutants of Arrako. They are a warrior culture that has been at war for thousands of years and they have dozens of omega level mutants. Unless uranos is a top tier reality warper I can’t imagine him single handedly taking out millions of arrako mutants 😕

But we have to remember that Uranos was one of the earliest eternals that has lived longer than any mutant. And he's killed deviants in the past with his massive weapons and army. His experience and seeing how powerful eternal are, I don't think it's so far fetched.

If you killed every single mutant currently on the planet, eventually a random person would just accidentally give birth to a new mutant. Great video. This is marvel doing what DC has done for decades. Putting all the properties together to face a singular force that is essentially a soft reboot.
Idk why Hickman didn’t finish this off. As a whole this really feels like an ending of a era. Love how Hickman fixed the avengers, fantastic four, n X-men. Would have love to see him do this one

1) In Original Sin, Tony Stark looked over Bruce Banner's notes on the gamma bomb and realized that when it detonated it would have destroyed everyone at the test site because Bruce had made it too powerful. Tony secretly redid the design schematics and made the bomb less powerful.
2)Marvel has retconned Jean's transformation into the Phoenix many times, but the last retcon they did said that the Phoenix Force made Jean Grey a new body and placed part of Jean's consciousness inside of it while leaving her original body under Jamaica Bay to heal and as a back up in case things went wrong. Nowadays, they pretty much ignore all that and just say that Jean Grey literally became Phoenix.

Jean was Phoenix originally. The concept was "what if a mutant got bombarded with cosmic rays like the FF" and that is what happened to her in space when she saved Cyclops and the other X-Men. Then she returned changed with great power. She had become Phoenix. Then she died. But Jim Shooter the EIC of Marvel in the 80s wanted to bring back the original X-Men team together. So writer Kurt Busiek came up with of this idea that Phoenix was an independant cosmic creature that put Jean in suspended animation and that the Jean as Phoenix was a new body with some of her consciousness in it(and something similar was repeated with Madelyn Pryor, I believe).
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 The original Phoenix transformation was so much better than all that Phoenix Force duplicate nonsense. And yeah, you're right: the piece of Jean's consciousness that was part of the Phoenix Force duplicate made its way into Madelyne Pryor after she was cloned.

This is one of the craziest most absurd comics series I've ever heard and explained. I am just so confused at every passing minute. But yet I still listened to the whole thing.

Has it already been explained why Kate Pryde couldn't/can't pass through Krakoa portals? I am so behind on the story that I don't even know where I was...
She was out of phase slightly so the portal couldn't read her as a mutant.

It’s a product of her powers. Her body is adapted to phasing so it reacts weird to the Krakoan portals. It’s also why Krakoan resurrection works weirdly for her as well

So you have all of these mutants who by themselves have, from time to time, taking over the world or the Earth but when you put them all on one team they've never seemed weaker!
WOW!! Get this! I was a comic fanatic during my teen years in the 80's then completely lost interest....UNTIL NOW! As I'm listening to this and I'm only halfway through it and I'm thinking that Eternals movie came out last year, I believe and so now I need to find and stream it ASAP.
I have SOOOO much to catch up on and sadly tho, my own 5 kids are now grown and moved out with families of their own for some of them, and they NEVER KNEW their dad was a COMIC GEEK growing up in the 80's....Funny though, cos when my kids were younger I'd take them to see any Superhero movies like Superman, Batman, and others....could possibly be because I was more into those movies then they were... HAHAHAHA!!!

Not even a decade in a couple years it's been confirmed that eternals 2 will be titled judgment day and rumors say eternals 2 is one of the missing films that was not announce for phase six

Of all the controversial changes that the MCU has made; it is my opinion that forcing an origin story for the reason mutants exist will be the biggest failure.
They need to remember the allegorical significance of these characters. One of the primary draws that X-Men had over inhumans is that they were an unexplained anomaly whereas the inhumans were fully explained to be a eugenics experiment.

They didn’t have much of a choice. They didn’t have the rights to the mutants and once they got them the MCU had been going for too long to explain why mutants hadn’t made an appearance yet.
I thought all of this was a moot point because they all are going to die in the future regardless.
I kind of agree, I don't wanna know how they are created, I guess it could be amazing if done right, but still just the fact they exist is enough for me.
That may have been a primary draw for you but idgaf so it's a little insane that someone is that fixated on it imo when this has been some of the most graceful writing we've ever gotten
