Excellent..the best tractors in modern times is with out a doubt the first run of the Craftsman Turn Tight Series T240 T260 T310 2019 to 2021 built to last Excellent build Excellent Engine Kohler 7000 Series I have a 2021 T240 Kohler 7000 Series 22 horsepower 725cc V Twin it's designed after the Kohler command commercial Pro Engine came with a 3 year unlimited hours warranty..i have always been a Craftsman man ever since I was kid my dad had a 1968 Craftsman suburban
Makes me miss my GT6000 more and more. Sadly after 21 years of mowing 2 acres with it, the old Briggs Twin 18HP engine said no more, not sure which connecting rod let go, but it ran enough on 1 cylinder to make it out of the back 40 and onto the carport. I should have found another engine for it because nothing they build today even comes close to how good that garden tractor was.
My son just bought me one of those Sears gt6000 one of the spark plugs for squashed I looked down inside at the side of the Piston walls were scored I had a camera we went down inside and scoped it to see it we went and bought a Harbor Freight 13 horse motor to put in it thank you for the video
I would like to see how bad the rear end is and you never know you might can fix it you don't know till it is opened up or it might be only good for parts at lest the cace don't have a hole in it lol
they made that style of craftsman tractors from the late 70s to the mid 80s and i think they were the last roper built sears then after that it was ayp and mtd.
Vtwin with 6 speed peerless 2012 . Saving it for if i break a hip or knees fail. I have a new old stock 820 Murray trans that might fit with different custom brakets and 1" hubs. Hope i never need it. Nobody bought the manuals and everything went cvt or hydro which led to a lot of junk. The CVT mtd design is ok until bearings and belts fail. The gearbox is pretty simple on those. Basically just a forward reverse box.
Yes it will go into neutral and low but makes bad noises in high. I have gotten 2 emails that the connector from rod to the pin can stretch in the first version of these. We will pull the trans next week and see if that was all it was.
I honestly am not sure. The steering is the same as the last generation Suburban's. The LT AYP started in early 80's but not sure if this was part of the same group.
@@redneckcomputergeek Is this one of those Variable Drive tractors? I had n LTV22 a few years ago, but it was supposedly lost by the person who was fixing it. He passed away 3-4 years ago, so I doubt that I'll find out where it went.
My sources are saying its a 1984. I dont think the newer 633's would fit in a suburban, pretty sure the mounting pads are casted wider than what you have with just a spacer. Maybe you could machine them down, but im not sure. I have its biggest brother, a Craftsman FF24.....they were the ugliest tractors sears ever sold but my big boy is a work horse.
@Frickitall you would be correct if the model number was 917.25741, that would make it a 73 or 74 Sears suburban ST16. In this case, the model number has the extra 3 and Sears didn't make this make/body style until 1981.

Take it apart.
I’d like to see a rebuild I have one that only has 1st and reverse high and low
I would definitely like to see you open it up to see how it failed and possibly fix it.
Love watching your videos!
And if it's not easily fixable perhaps there's parts that can be used in the other bad one.
Thank you for the video Like to seeing what's in the Rear crunching

I think a tear down video would be great.
Man I love your show brother 😊
Finding replacement gears for the Rear Transaxle is easier than you think!
DRAIN the OIL OUT AND NAILLL IT I WANNA SEE SHIT EVERY WERE LOL

THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO

Last year of Suburbans was 1980, these started in 1981

Trans may be stuck between high and low range, the shaft on mine was rusty and wouldnt go into low range until i cleaned it up.
RedneckComputerGeek. I have a newer Husqvarna riding mower. How hard would it be to lock the tranmisson.?
id love to see a rebuild of the. rear axle
I ebelieve its an 81-82, the gtv series which has the exact same styling as that were 81-82 so that’s my best guess
What did you dpo with the Zero turn Mower?
Looks like it is a 82
Hi I have one of these boxes and the slector pin was out so it was stuck in high range , just wondering if you checked that for yours ?

tractordata says
1980 Roper Garden Tractor
currently refurbishing a 917.255933 here, fun stuff!
I would love to see this turned into a project.
@RedneckComputerGeek is this an AYP chassis?

@hunter Nowicki no this is a true 6 speed with high/ low. If it was varidrive, the badge would say GTV18

I think it's actually a '74

You know I wouldn't mind having it for the right price...
Would like to see the transmission tear down
I have a Noma GT 18. Briggs oppossed engine. There's literally no information about them online.
Damn that really suck can’t win them all like you said
Yeah take it apart it see if you can find what’s wrong and see about fixing it
Just like a turn-key but the opposite.😅
Gt6000
Yes fix it
Fix ittt
