No what you want to do is locate your longest post and then build them in there, link only to paragraph tags so they translate through all posts easy without additional work.
When you use the chrome plug-in it finds and links to the html based elements, you want regular spacing you want to target paragraphs “p” tags to ensure spacing is equal between all posts
Great video! Wanted to know what the difference is between adding a placeholder using the chrome extension vs adding it by first creating one on your ezoic dashboard, and pasting the code into a widget in WordPress?
Well basically down to similar content placement with their Chrome Plugin and if you use an ad inserter it’s more fixed across all posts which can be undesirable in some cases. Either will work but when you want to leave Ezoic down the road manually adding leaves work and Chrome plugin will leave nothing to clean up.

You could've pasted the sidebar ad code into an html widget without thicking the "fixed widget", or without having that plugin in the first place, right? It hasn't worked on my Acabado theme installs (tried on three) While people have reported working I have yet to have it work on my sites which may be me or something in what the Acabado site does. (I have tried it a few times but gave up as this way worked each and every time on every theme) cheers!

I would say if just placed it’s time and just wait, if not then make sure you enabled the mobile AI placeholders. Next would be to look at the placeholders you made and that mobile is enabled in them.
When done right you will monetize 99% of your content, if you have a bunch of tables and other weird layouts you do want to go manually check them and add additional slots on just those pages to maximize the opportunity that exists.

Make sure you enabled in your settings as it is something to enable display of but then in the plugin you need to change from “automatic” and scroll down to native ad
Thanks for your video. Quick question. When you click on "Activate Placeholders," I understand it shows you your placeholders. But when you click on the red "Deactivate" button, what happens? Does that mean it removes all your placeholders? Or does it save your placeholder settings? Or something else entirely?
I've been part of Ezoic for about a year now. And when scrolling through the pages I can see that the AI has made a bunch of placeholders "AI_Placeholder:_long_content" etc. These are placed 'pretty' good. However, there are some places where they are a tiny bit far apart as there are no placeholder other than the floating sidebar present. Do you recommend to just trust the AI or simply adding a additional placeholder in these spots? And if so, I don't remember which "incontent_xx" I have used, does it matter if I use a incontent_number multiple times (does that mess up the data?) I guess I could just delete all my placeholders, and than add them perfectly like you stated in the video. I'm just a bit in doubt as the AI has been working for a long time now... Sorry for this huge wall of text. Your opinion would be highly appreciated
I wouldn’t want to delete as it causes loss in data they contain, The AI is automated when added it means there was a shown value there if the other spot had value it would add one there for you. For longevity though everyone should add the plug-in and the plug-in ad placeholders as they translate across theme changes and present a value over time.
The issue with handling ads comes down to all system setup from server, plugins, and more so it is nearly impossible to make a one size fits all guide. What do you experience as slow as that’s personal too. 1 second won’t happen, 2 probably not, so if your more worried about speed then ads probably isn’t for you unless you change your mindset.
How did you manage to make it fixed but only under your own native sidebar content? To display first your own stuff, and after the the azoic ads. I have I signup form on the sidebar, but with the sidebar floating ads it gets pushed further down and it's not visible unless you fully scroll down.
Is your sidebar signup form fixed? Or was it added after you did the placeholders? If you added something to the sidebar then you could have inadvertently broke the place holding (don’t make other things sticky in the sidebar)
Got stumped with the extension. I keep getting a "cannot use extension on excluded pages" error. I haven't excluded anything so I must be doing something wrong :(

Yeah the sticky that the plugin will make or if they did manual for you both get the same thing done and your good! Now is the time to publish! Also keep going and tell me where you are at in 6 months!
Q2W3 let’s you make any widget sticky so it has more use but yes with the plugin you can choose end and it is now a sticky if you choose the sticky option which didn’t start until right around when I made this video.
You would need to look at the css on your site as I would expect there is padding on the content section and since it’s after this the gap would exist. I am a huge proponent of people learning to look at CSS more to tweak their sites for just these types of modifications as they don’t need “coders” to fix.
Yeah this is frequent on themes to give space to elements but things like ads can expose how they are and why you may need to manually tweak things. Price of business 😂
So...I have A LOT of content. Do I need to go through all my posts and pages and set up different ad placements...because I definitely don't have a standardized format for my content. Or is it something where I only need to do the top 20 pages / posts? Thanks for the great video BTW!
No you should install the plug-in and have it build placeholders in 2022, this will regulate placeholders based on paragraph breaks. Then you can use the plug-in if you need to massage any specific posts.
Just message your account manager or message in the community, it’s a far better way to get right as you can’t then change themes without the problems the plugin will give you later.

As in you didn’t add about info and other content into the sidebar? You should get some of that and at least recent posts into the sidebar to get people familiar with you and a chance to get them to your new content and also give a place for ads to be inserted more also.

Hi Josh, have you monitored real-time on any of your Ezoic sites. I'm seeing a lot of views with 0 payouts. Just wondering if this is normal, it feels like something isn't right.
That happens as for impressions to count people have to keep a % of the ad in view for xx amount of time. I would look more at those posts to see where maybe the ads are placed versus content layout as to how they are reading or scrolling faster than you would like.
Hey, its my 3rd comment, and after around 3 months. I followed your video in April and that time my epmv was around 8.... after fews day it was 12-14. i was happy... last month my ezoic assistant recomment to change the place holder in a new way. i did that but epmv dropped to around 8-9... after 2 weeks it decreased to 6-7. its horrible... at 8th august i followed your video again... but this time im sure i did it more currect than before because i followed your "p" tag process... so all my post has a nice placeholder now... epmv now around 7... i know it takes time. i just to let you know my overall situation.. what should i do now? i want my old epmv back. how much time should it take around? 21 placeholders and 20k page views per month currently
Overall EPMV has dropped for this quarter to this point. If you had placeholders get purged the data has to be recollected again but now in place they go up hopefully for a good Q4
Ezoic is saying that virtually everything I use from Astra to BLUEHOST to Envato to Elementor etc has a negative impact on my speed/performance metrics… I cannot remove all of this at this point after 48 posts. Because it’s crowd sourced data I would never use, since they let anyone in the scores show the most common tools used by poor site owners give poor results. Stop believing false data, even from Ezoic.

Well personally not, though I know people who have but more because the niche is hit super hard like tourism and travel. There are a tremendous amount of reasons it could be dropping but most will be tied to the content being read gets less read time and hence less ad shows.
Do I need to add placeholders on every post that i publish?? I know it automatically detects some places. But sometimes it just leaves tons of space before adding another ad.
Most the time this is due to not placing placeholders on the tags. I would now suggest any new site use the plugins made by the plugin to give long term viability.

Ezoic works on almost any web based platform but you will have issues on how you link sites to them, I would recommend speaking with them as to how best to integrate a blogger site.
That is default once configured as it is their standard setup, above the area where you build placeholders is the button for footer settings. More detail could help, not sure what you need?
How do you deal with placeholders that appear broken on other pages? I noticed you remove them and they get removed from every page. Effectively, you always have broken ads in certain pages.
They should never be “broken” unless placement was off in the first place, in this case you targeted something incorrectly. Make sure you target tags in content and widgets for sidebar
@@WhiteHatBlogging I see, maybe broken it’s the right word but say you configure placeholders on post A, the you go to post B to see what the AI has matched and you see loads of ads grouped together or misplaced. They are greyed out and have a warning sign saying they won’t appear on this page. What I did is remove them and install other correct ones but what happens is they will have the same behaviour on other pages because Ezoic won’t be able to match them. Would the correct behaviour be to leave them in place or to hide them on that specific page instead of deleting? Hope I am making sense.
Yeah then placement has not been on tags, many tag on bold, heading, so much else, those can have different sizes. Never had one issue when I target paragraphs only.
@@WhiteHatBlogging when you say target tags, do you mean so the in content placements are between 2 paragraphs of text? Rather than say a paragraph of text and a H2 heading like in the video? When I set up placements for post A and then tweak them on post B, it messes up the placements on post A. So annoying. @@picktrick9575 There is part that is part of themes, if you mean Native Ads you have to enable them in Ezoic for your site then add the placeholder with the plugin for chrome.

You have two choices, the plug-in to make things simple or the Chrome plug-in like my video has you do. Either can work and neither will crash a site minus compatibility issues.
If you use a page builder placing is still the same when doing your static pages but if you build posts with a page builder they are broken into wired DIVs which makes manual placement and evaluation much more important. I would look at way more pages or explain that this is why I DO NOT use a page builder for internal post content.
I would suggest that as I have heard from more than a few reps that it sees Elementor content as a block since sub contained and that ads are more a pain. I don’t ever build posts inside pagebuilders so I don’t have firsthand experience though.

You cant be logged into your site (log out or use incognito as I hinted in the video)

@@femio4559 Mediation is if you wrapped other ads from prior (like AdSense) so you can have it all in one view. I skipped AdSense so it s always 0.

You would need to look at the css on your site as I would expect there is padding on the content section and since it’s after this the gap would exist. I am a huge proponent of people learning to look at CSS more to tweak their sites for just these types of modifications as they don’t need “coders” to fix.

Yeah this is frequent on themes to give space to elements but things like ads can expose how they are and why you may need to manually tweak things. Price of business 😂
So...I have A LOT of content. Do I need to go through all my posts and pages and set up different ad placements...because I definitely don't have a standardized format for my content. Or is it something where I only need to do the top 20 pages / posts? Thanks for the great video BTW!
No you should install the plug-in and have it build placeholders in 2022, this will regulate placeholders based on paragraph breaks. Then you can use the plug-in if you need to massage any specific posts.
@@WhiteHatBlogging I think something is up with the plugin these days. It's been hanging up on generating placeholders (that's how I got here lol).
Just message your account manager or message in the community, it’s a far better way to get right as you can’t then change themes without the problems the plugin will give you later.

As in you didn’t add about info and other content into the sidebar? You should get some of that and at least recent posts into the sidebar to get people familiar with you and a chance to get them to your new content and also give a place for ads to be inserted more also.

I have had days where I drop it would make me wonder if you have views to a page with far less ads placed or far less valuable ads.
Hi Josh, have you monitored real-time on any of your Ezoic sites. I'm seeing a lot of views with 0 payouts. Just wondering if this is normal, it feels like something isn't right.
That happens as for impressions to count people have to keep a % of the ad in view for xx amount of time. I would look more at those posts to see where maybe the ads are placed versus content layout as to how they are reading or scrolling faster than you would like.

Hey, its my 3rd comment, and after around 3 months. I followed your video in April and that time my epmv was around 8.... after fews day it was 12-14. i was happy... last month my ezoic assistant recomment to change the place holder in a new way. i did that but epmv dropped to around 8-9... after 2 weeks it decreased to 6-7. its horrible... at 8th august i followed your video again... but this time im sure i did it more currect than before because i followed your "p" tag process... so all my post has a nice placeholder now... epmv now around 7... i know it takes time. i just to let you know my overall situation.. what should i do now? i want my old epmv back. how much time should it take around? 21 placeholders and 20k page views per month currently
Overall EPMV has dropped for this quarter to this point. If you had placeholders get purged the data has to be recollected again but now in place they go up hopefully for a good Q4
Ezoic is saying that virtually everything I use from Astra to BLUEHOST to Envato to Elementor etc has a negative impact on my speed/performance metrics… I cannot remove all of this at this point after 48 posts. Because it’s crowd sourced data I would never use, since they let anyone in the scores show the most common tools used by poor site owners give poor results. Stop believing false data, even from Ezoic.

Well personally not, though I know people who have but more because the niche is hit super hard like tourism and travel.
There are a tremendous amount of reasons it could be dropping but most will be tied to the content being read gets less read time and hence less ad shows.
what is your optimization goal? is it balanced or revenue focused ?
Never seen a real difference between either, but revenue focused could help in the last month of the quarter when the most excess money is spent.
Do I need to add placeholders on every post that i publish?? I know it automatically detects some places. But sometimes it just leaves tons of space before adding another ad.
Most the time this is due to not placing placeholders on the tags. I would now suggest any new site use the plugins made by the plugin to give long term viability.

Ezoic works on almost any web based platform but you will have issues on how you link sites to them, I would recommend speaking with them as to how best to integrate a blogger site.
How to set up the bottom floating ads bar on ezoic?
That is default once configured as it is their standard setup, above the area where you build placeholders is the button for footer settings. More detail could help, not sure what you need?

You just go to the settings page and disable them, though you should always keep them as they stay when your theme changes and manual placements dont
How do you deal with placeholders that appear broken on other pages? I noticed you remove them and they get removed from every page. Effectively, you always have broken ads in certain pages.
They should never be “broken” unless placement was off in the first place, in this case you targeted something incorrectly. Make sure you target tags in content and widgets for sidebar
@@WhiteHatBlogging I see, maybe broken it’s the right word but say you configure placeholders on post A, the you go to post B to see what the AI has matched and you see loads of ads grouped together or misplaced. They are greyed out and have a warning sign saying they won’t appear on this page. What I did is remove them and install other correct ones but what happens is they will have the same behaviour on other pages because Ezoic won’t be able to match them. Would the correct behaviour be to leave them in place or to hide them on that specific page instead of deleting? Hope I am making sense.
Yeah then placement has not been on tags, many tag on bold, heading, so much else, those can have different sizes. Never had one issue when I target paragraphs only.
@@WhiteHatBlogging when you say target tags, do you mean so the in content placements are between 2 paragraphs of text? Rather than say a paragraph of text and a H2 heading like in the video?
When I set up placements for post A and then tweak them on post B, it messes up the placements on post A. So annoying.

When you click to make a placeholder it tells you the element, those need to be paragraph tags

Do what? Add placeholders? You could in theory add html blacks post by post using the placeholders but that is poor for mental sanity.

You have two choices, the plug-in to make things simple or the Chrome plug-in like my video has you do. Either can work and neither will crash a site minus compatibility issues.

If you use a page builder placing is still the same when doing your static pages but if you build posts with a page builder they are broken into wired DIVs which makes manual placement and evaluation much more important. I would look at way more pages or explain that this is why I DO NOT use a page builder for internal post content.

I would suggest that as I have heard from more than a few reps that it sees Elementor content as a block since sub contained and that ads are more a pain. I don’t ever build posts inside pagebuilders so I don’t have firsthand experience though.
