In all of my life, I never liked all white. HOWEVER, this boat is gorgeous and the white makes everything seem so clean and neat. I really like this yacht.
I just bought a Donzi, and was already convinced that I possess a fine product, even though it's just 25'. Knowing that the manufacturer builds vessels like this solidifies my conviction. Even though it was remodeled, Donzi interiors are very nice from the factory..
I was on the identical 65ft version of this DONZI yacht. $1.6 million new 30yrs ago! The"Queen Anne's Concrete Machine" out of Boca. The entire flybridge was enclosed with 2 couches, air conditioned with tinted glass. She cruises @30knots 45knots full throttle with a pair of dual supercharged V12 diesels. Feul capacity 22,000 gallons! It burns 2 tanks to go between Long Island and Boca Raton in 3 days with layovers 😮 refueling from a tanker truck is a 2 hour mission. Using 2 Feul dock pumps would take all day and into the night.
I remember seeing this boat at FLIBS around 2017 for sale. The interior wood was the same color and finish as the wood in the forward portion of the cockpit. I noted water leakage on the starboard side on the interior wood and headliner. Hence the interior be redone.
the center one is called the shotgun, you would typically put a large lure on that line with no hooks to get the fish interested and bring them up from the depths, particularly good for marlin
10:19 That makes a HUGE amount of sense. 90% of the time outside of startup/shutdown you wouldn't need to keep a super close eye on the engine monitors. So you could hide them away unless an "idiot light" triggers an alarm. My major complaint about a "sport fisher" styled boat is the lack of a railing as you move along the side of the boat, Victoria, I'm SO glad you seem to share that gripe! My major gripe with this particular video is not seeing Victoria climbing up the tuna tower. Sorry Rico, for ME at least you don't hold the same attraction!
Single side band radio is a development of AM HF radio, SSB is actually a form of modulation that increases the efficiency of the signal. With full AM modulation you have a center carrier wave and an upper and lower sideband on either side which can be observed with an oscilloscope. With SSB the center carrier wave and either one of the sidebands is suppressed and the entire signal is carried in the upper or lower sideband. By having the entire signal carried in a single side band you effectively increase the range of the signal. It is similar to using a pressure nozzle on your garden hose, it restricts the larger stream into smaller stream that can reach much further distances.
@@ChrisHarding-lk3jj That's not entirely accurate, when you use SSB radio you can place two channels on one frequency, you modulate one sideband, say upper for one vessel to use the channel, and another vessel can use the same channel but on the lower side band, this allows two simultaneous and independent calls on the same carrier frequency, therefore effectively doubling the capacity of the radio frequenc band in use. Let's say you want to call someone on a specific frequency band that has a 50KHz channel spacing. With normal AM radio you can have two channels in the space of 100KHz for conversations. But using single side band you can have 4 conversations on that same 100Khz space of the spectrum. Doubling the number of actual comms channels within a frequency band. I was an ET, Electronics Technician in the USCG, I repaired every piece of electronics aboard the vessel upon which I was stationed. We had a pair of 150 watt SSB transceivers aboard and I spent many hours on them trying to keep them working at optimum capability. The distance you can cover with a radio is dependent on a few things, the effective radiated output power of the transmitter final amplifier, the efficiency and gain of the antenna and the standing wave ratio of the tranmission line that connects the transmitter output to the antenna input. It is also dependent on the wavelength of the frequency band you are using. The longer the wave (lower the frequency) the more distance you can cover, plus the altitude of the ionosphere and the number of layers of it, will have an effect on how much extra distance you can cover using a technique called skip.
Cosplish is used in the military for their galleys and this is the first sport fish boat I have seen with it. Very very expensive. This boat is worth every dime if it is foe sale.
@NautiStyles, I have a request. Would you kindly put this video on a repeating loop? This 80 ft. Live-a-board is my dream home. I can’t afford the price, but I would love to fall asleep dreaming about it. Dreaming I’d be the Captain and my deserving crew would have the other 2 staterooms; I’d use the Crew Quarters for paying guests, and that money would be used to pay for the gas. Thank you, Victoria and Rico for all of your amazing videos!
The furono MF/HF Single Side Band radio telephone ? I do not recognize this model but the system was fairly widely used before satcom made it's entry .
If I was refurbing this awesome vessel I would pull the 1800hp MTUs and replace with at least 2600hp MTUs. I did not know Donzi built boats of this size. I remember seeing a 72 quite a few years ago but not an 80. Well done Rico and Victoria another awesome yacht tour!! 😃😃
The spot on the engine room door looks like a document holder. In the Army we had those (higher up) on doors such as to the Armory. Duty personnel would record their checks, and if someone went inside they would record when they entered and left. On a boat I would imagine keeping record of periodic checks.
I've wondered if "liking" a video right at the beginning was less beneficial to the creator. So thanks, Victoria, for sharing that inside info--if I'm gonna "like" a video, I want it to help as much as possible. You guys make fun videos.
23:15 The little pocket at the bottom of the door confused me as well, then I noticed the little velcro strap about halfway up the door. I'm going to guess this is for a broom, I could be wrong but that is my guess.
Victoria, not to disappoint you, but those huge master cabinets were initially for Rod Storage not for wife's clothing. On a sportfish, it's a very important feature and the further hidden and locked-away the better. Each rod/reel can be worth hundreds of dollars and a sportfish that big will probably need 16-20 of them just for trolling.
@@atatterson6992 that is correct, I remember my first Penn Rod and Reel and it was about $600 in todays money, I caught my first 200lb blue shark ever that day with my dad on his first 18ft Bayliner. This was over 2 decades ago and he has upgraded about 10 times since then and now has a twin diesel Luhrs and I just got him a new 2 speed electric drop reel and rod butt. The reel was about $5500 before taxes but the 1000 yards of braid I got him and the rod butt and a cover to protect the reel when it is stoved away.. all in all after taxes without the rod came out to about $10k. Fishing is an expensive sport but my dad says that it is probably cheaper than having a gambling problem or a drug habit. LOL!
Absolutely beautiful boat. I want one. Also, Victoria is so beautiful to look at I have to watch the video twice to actually see all of the boat properly. Well done Rico!! Sorry for being creepy but I just had to share that with you. One thing I’d like to hear is how much the boats you review cost. Helps to put everything in perspective. Thanks for all your vids, you guys are awesome!!
That boat looks to be in good mechanical shape, the external wood could use some work, sanding and finishing, there were areas of paint that need touching up, however I would expect anyone buying the boat would first take it to a reputable shipyard for a haul out and a full refit depending on the survey report of course. In south Florida Don Patton used to be the king of yacht surveyors, don't know if that still holds true. Back in the 60's through the 80's if a vessel passed a Patton survey you knew it was a stout, safe, dependable and capable vessel. Plus your insurance was a lot cheaper with the Patton seal of approval. I wouldn't even entertain the thought of buying a vessel today without a thorough, technical and structural survey including every system and function. You figure buying a used boat, that in the first year of ownership you will throw down somewhere between 10 and 20% of the purchase price in maintenence and repairs before you even take it out for a cruise. Of course if you're a novice or foolhearty you'll skip that initial yard period and maybe skip your next birthday too. Me, I want to know everything there is about the boat, good and especially bad, before I ever trust my life to it out in the ocean. A 5 dollar part can cripple a vessel or even take it to the bottom if it fails at just the right/wrong time.
Yes, its about the money, not the ocean. Someone is tired of paying the monthly maintenance on this beast and wants to get a tax write off based on some inflated value that it is not ever going to sell for.
@@DIYDaveT Yes sir, probably would of took a year or two to sell and the maintenance cost alone would of made the tax write off a better option. Probably an older couple that just wanted out.
Stunning interior! Whoever did the refit outdid themselves! Another Gold Standard Yacht Tour from Team Victoria & Rico! Can't wait to see the maiden voyage of your Bering! (Note to passengers-might want to bring hearing protection because Rico's sound system will exceed safe decibel levels-just kidding, but you never know)
very nice feature on the engine water intakes. I saved a 65 ft Viking back in 1995 using the engines. We were offshore diving and heard their distress call on the radio while taking a break. Ran over to them. By the time I got in the engine room the water was halfway up the blocks. We had to close the valves and remove the intake hoses to make the engines pump out water. It would have been so nice to have this setup. After that I installed the valves on my boat. You would think it would be more common.
Now that a fishing boat I could deal with..I love all the white it’s just so clean looking. And that engine room..Wow !!! Now I could buy it but it would have to sit at the dock because I couldn’t afford to put fuel in it…🤣🤣🤣🤣. Great boat,,,,Great video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I really like this boat, the interior was a big surprise when you first walked in the door, I was thinking wow look at that open floor, its perfect for a classroom to teach others what they will need to know when going fishing in the ocean. I wonder how much it would cost to lease vs to buy this boat. Buying up several 20 year old boats and using them for fishing tours in the Florida waters and to the Bahamas would be a great job for retired old water dogs. If I was to have a fishing boat that took others out deep sea fishing, I'd definitely have a video for the people to see that taught them correct way to tie the knots and how to do their own rigging on their lines before going fishing. I have always wanted to teach others things that they are able to teach others when they are older. Passing knowledge is the best way of keeping it alive years from now. Im happy to say i have taught many others the proper way to hunt and fish when I was younger and now being older i get to think about how many people have the knowledge I have shared instead of keeping it all to myself. I've never been a greedy person and I have always wanted to teach others the correct way and I know those i taught will pass on what they learned from me and thats awesome to give such a gift to others. Share the Love, because love is the glue that holds everything together in our Universe.
Rico and Victoria, I was unaware that Donzi made a sport Fisher that size. I used to work at Teakdecking Systems, about half a mile from where Donzi was located in Sarasota.
that place on the door is for log booking for everything done in the engine room remembering to take it in as going in and leave it there when leaving and to keep it dry. Important records for haulouts, sales transfer, troubleshooting, and keeping things up to date. Valuable for survey and insurance as well.
that is a really nice fishing boat that you could take on a 3 hour tour .. a 3 hour tour.. wait, we've seen that show before lol ... seriously it is really nice on the inside and has some good room on the outside.
Outstanding video! I never thought Donzi had it in them to make such a beautiful sportfishing yacht! 🙂 For me personally, 20 less feet and the same fuel capacity, you would be hard-pressed to find me! 😁👍🤟
Midship or mid rigger. Omg!! When you went inside her, I could not believe how beautiful she is! I could easily live on her with Gunny the Great Dane. I really like this boat! Thank you for pleasantly surprising me. I almost passed on watching because of the outside.
I aam not into owning a boat but rent one with crew would be fun. But 2 years ago your channel came up in my fees and i tought "hey, lets give it a chaance" Still here :) because i like the way you are and presenting your videos.. Greetings from Oslo, Norway
I so like the interaction between you two and when Victoria was in the port side vip cabin to see the drawers under the bed she just ripped up the linen. Thanks for a great overview of the boat.
I would think the slot holder on the outside of the engine room door would be to hold the logs for your hourly checks of the engines.. There should also be a place to put ear muffs after all those engines would be fairly noisy when going. Thanks for the video.
I have watched your channel extensively. I was born in Miami and raised in Sarasota, and my family spent many, many hours on boats. I now live in Dallas, many miles from the Ocean or Gulf but I have a practical suggestion for boat owners. I have a counter top composter that I use to compost all kitchen organic. It doesn’t make biologically active compost but it does take most organic kitchen waste, dry it and grind it and reduce the volume to about 10% of the original volume. It also takes organic waste and makes waste that will take much. much longer to degrade. while stored (I store mine in a sealed container in the freezer). The end result is the my regular trash waste, although I do recycle separately, is mostly plastic and paper that can’t be recycled. On a yacht you might add the composted material to the compactor, but the end result is still much less waste, no need for a kitchen disposal, and waste that has a much lower probability to produce unwanted odors. I’m not sure why I don’t see these countertop composters on yachts with available AC. I might also mention that I run my composter every 2-3 days for 2 hours, and I cook every day. Just something to consider. Scott in Dallas.
I have been watching your channel for about a year. And this is one of the nicer boats I've seen. It is absolutely spectacular in all aspects. Very beautiful
We enjoy your videos. We are looking for a bigger MY than our Gulfstar 44. Never looked at yacht fish as we don't fish deep sea enough to dedicate our boat to it. However a 60' boat of this type would be fun to check out. Thanks for expanding our vision. I love all your blue striped outfits and your enthusiasm, Victoria. Most of my clothing in my boat locker are blue striped! And Rico adds so many interesting mechanical points. Thank you both for great, fun videos.
Back in the day, one of my friends had a Donzi powerboat. It was really nice...but, that boat was a money pit...big time !! Even when it wasn't in need of some repair, it still had huge operating costs for just 1/2 of a Saturday on the lake. 😁🚤
I like because of Victoria, sub because of Rico and enjoy doing it because of the content provided :) (this boat looks really nice and she doesn't look like a 2000 boat!!)
I'm thinking that the little vent at the bottom of the engine room door, is possibly to put a clipboard or logbook for engine checks and maintenance! Possibly?😊😊❤❤
3700 gallons not 3600. I'm guessing it would cost at minimum $16,500.00 to fill up those two tanks. That's crazy! I also wonder how long that gas would last in the boat? My wife and I spend approximately $8,000.00 a year in gas for two vehicles so we could drive two cars for two years for what it takes to fill up this boats fuel tanks! Wow!!!
At cruise she probably burns around 80-100 gph (gallons per hour) which is an estimate based off of similar sized vessels with the MTU 16v diesels. which would give you approximately 396 NM range. I'm not 100% on the performance specs on the Donzi, but that's about what a similar sized Viking 76 SF is getting with the same MTU 16V diesels. Edit- Update. I found the specs from Power and Motoryacht article from 2001. A slow cruise of 22 kn she'll burn 108 gph, for a range of 572 nm. Fast cruise at 32 kn she'll burn 198 gph for a range of 454 NM. Her top end (tested) was 38.8 kn (44.8 mph) burning a staggering 272 gph with a range of 459NM. A top speed of 45 mph is pretty impressive for an 80 ft SF that weighs in at little over 100k lbs.
Thanks for the like button info that was helpful for all the channels I watch too know it's better to wait until the middle. I always did right off so I did not forget. Also Love this concept for boat ownership. Really cool idea.
If I am not mistaken that Furuno is like a multitool.. depending on model it has Ais, dps and GPS and I think maybe a few other thing if I recall correctly.. pretty serious kit honestly!👍👍

That's amazing! Thank you for sharing! 💙⚓️
Rico and Victoria, I was unaware that Donzi made a sport Fisher that size. I used to work at Teakdecking Systems, about half a mile from where Donzi was located in Sarasota.
You learn something new everyday!! 🙌🤪
Different Donzi
that place on the door is for log booking for everything done in the engine room remembering to take it in as going in and leave it there when leaving and to keep it dry.
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for sharing!
6:33 is called the center rigger it's for running a shotgun rig or bait back beyond all other baits
Conservation is right up my alley, my Great Uncle oversaw the creation of the Lakefield National Park in North Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Whoaaaa! That's amazing! 🤯🤯🤯
Aw. Very cool 😎!
❤
Do it with your own money and assets. It's easy to use other people's assets for personal projects.

@valt7366 - take a Xanax*
I really love this sport fisher...very nice indeed. Thanks kids.
We appreciate you Alan! Have a great weekend!! 💙💙
That is for machine logs where you store the record of hourly readings
Thanks for sharing!! 🙏🏻💙
My favorite pillow is back @ 15:27! Love it and you guys! 🤩😍😘
Somehow every boat has this pillow!! 🤣🤪
Absolutely love the tours
awww thank you sooo much Gregory

I tell my wife all the time, when she kicks the bucket..I buying a live aboard. LOL
How about you both enjoy a live aboard together 🤪🤣
The holder on the engine room hatch is for an axe blade. There is a strap up from there for the handle.
👌🏼
Outstanding video! I never thought Donzi had it in them to make such a beautiful sportfishing yacht! 🙂 For me personally, 20 less feet and the same fuel capacity, you would be hard-pressed to find me! 😁👍🤟
Glad you enjoyed it!! Hope to see you on your dream boat soon!! 🙏🏻⚓️💙
Midship or mid rigger. Omg!! When you went inside her, I could not believe how beautiful she is! I could easily live on her with Gunny the Great Dane. I really like this boat! Thank you for pleasantly surprising me. I almost passed on watching because of the outside.
💙👌🏼
I’m loving this boat
Glad you loved this one! Make sure to share with all your Nauti People!! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
I aam not into owning a boat but rent one with crew would be fun. But 2 years ago your channel came up in my fees and i tought "hey, lets give it a chaance" Still here :) because i like the way you are and presenting your videos..
Greetings from Oslo, Norway
Awwww thank you for the kind words Gibbs
Thanks for the tip about when to like the video.
You bet! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩵
The slot at the bottom of the door I would use it for maintenance log book
💙
I so like the interaction between you two and when Victoria was in the port side vip cabin to see the drawers under the bed she just ripped up the linen. Thanks for a great overview of the boat.
No storage goes unnoticed! 🤪🤣🙏🏻
Another interesting review. The flooding suction at the end - is called "Emergency Bilge Injection"
Thank you so much for sharing!
I'd be thrilled to have the option, but what a Bad Day on the water it would be if you need to swap over to bilge pumping with the engine!
I would think the slot holder on the outside of the engine room door would be to hold the logs for your hourly checks of the engines.. There should also be a place to put ear muffs after all those engines would be fairly noisy when going. Thanks for the video.
Great answer! Thanks for the insight! 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Another great tour. Thank you! Love you guys! 🤩😍😘
Thanks for watching! See you next weekend!!
Really never cared too much for fishing and I grew up on a lake but wow I love that boat
Glad you loved this one!

You guys are awesome and thank you!
You are! 🩵🩵
First time I have actually liked a sport fishing boat, the remodel was very well done.
Glad you enjoyed this one!
Victoria, I swear you keep getting better looking all the time.
Anything Donzi is the King of Cool, like the full red leather jumpsuit of the Eddie Murphy standup days.
Good morning. Really nice yacht imho.
Gooood Morningggg! Glad you loved it!
My husband got me hooked on your videos. Now I want a yacht for scuba diving.
Happy to have you both in the Nauti Crew 🙏🏻💙⚓️
Give David West a call at RJC Yacht Sales in Fort Lauderdale for more info on this Donzi 80' Sportfish.
David! David! David! 🙌🙌🙌
Great suggestion Scott! Thanks for sharing!
Log books in the engine room door?
Great answer Adam! 🙏🏻⚓️
I have been watching your channel for about a year. And this is one of the nicer boats I've seen. It is absolutely spectacular in all aspects.
Very beautiful
Thank you very much!
I would prefer a bigger shower for the owner suite!!!!
Thanks for sharing
We enjoy your videos. We are looking for a bigger MY than our Gulfstar 44. Never looked at yacht fish as we don't fish deep sea enough to dedicate our boat to it. However a 60' boat of this type would be fun to check out. Thanks for expanding our vision. I love all your blue striped outfits and your enthusiasm, Victoria. Most of my clothing in my boat locker are blue striped! And Rico adds so many interesting mechanical points. Thank you both for great, fun videos.
All fun an games until you pull up for a $20k fuel bill.
That part!!
Every repair bill is $20k
Just leave it docked and live on it. no fuel bill.
@@Theaddmandock fees insurance and storms. Will cost you.
Back in the day, one of my friends had a Donzi powerboat. It was really nice...but, that boat was a money pit...big time !! Even when it wasn't in need of some repair, it still had huge operating costs for just 1/2 of a Saturday on the lake. 😁🚤
I like because of Victoria, sub because of Rico and enjoy doing it because of the content provided :)
(this boat looks really nice and she doesn't look like a 2000 boat!!)
Thank you
😝🎉🩵
The center outrigger is called a stinger
Thanks for the insight!!
That would be called the center rigger
Thanks for the insight Danny!! 🙏🏻⚓️💙
I'm thinking that the little vent at the bottom of the engine room door, is possibly to put a clipboard or logbook for engine checks and maintenance! Possibly?😊😊❤❤
Good point
Great answer! Thanks for sharing!
Wow!!!
Diesel, the only thing that would take gas is the tender.
Awesome boat. Very nice and well planned out. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the like button info that was helpful for all the channels I watch too know it's better to wait until the middle. I always did right off so I did not forget. Also Love this concept for boat ownership. Really cool idea.
Sooo happy to hear!

on the engine room door, that lower slot looks to be for the MSDS (material safety data sheets) binder.

Loving your guys' channel. I've been watching a long time. I've been landlocked all my life and have only been to the beach twice in my life. It would be a dream to live on the water. Congrats on your B80 and I look forward to all of your future videos. It would be amazing to experience that lifestyle even for a day. I can't even imagine.
Awww thank you so much for the kind words - we truly appreciate you!
So Wise , Thank You .Looks like A fine well designed Sport Fisher , looks like descent range, and a worthy cause
