Those plates stay with you, you can transfer from vehicle to vehicle, when I purchased my 24 Tacoma I had the finance guy add the transfer paperwork to the dmv packet, 22 days later my reg came in and my old plates are now on my new truck
It looks great!! I waited a long time too!! I Ordered in April and got them on Christmas Eve 2023 lol! They are with it!
