Build a company and do better, pleeeeease. I'm so tired of these hideous 8k super fine and detailed demos. Not even your imac g3 with windows 95 can run this 😭
Thanks for sharing! These look epic! We are living in exciting times when it comes to game creation. To think of the old Atari and my Amstrad CPC6128. We've come a long way. Just need that 50 series GPU now. These realistic environments are testing for my 3090Ti.
@hypersonicmonkeybrains3418 You're probably right. I now have a 4090 and the 5090 will most likely be in short supply. I don't game as much these days. Working with Unreal Engine 5 mostly.
Don't worry buddy, what you see here is not a game environment, unless you consider playing the game on 4090. The Medieval Village was made around 4.25, and was already giving you like 30 FPS on 3060. With new UE5 technologies for raytracing and such it'll be even lower. I'm talking about ultra graphics. Considering the fact that a game will add more stuff on top of that, you'll need 4090 to play the game in stable 60 fps in native 1080
This is truly incredible. Everything I watched during the video reminded me of The Witcher 3. I hope Witcher 4 will be released as a beautiful game like this.
Have you seen people playing Silent Breath. The game looks very realistic and it's playing very decent. I think hardware is at the doors already in terms of catching up.
@@doni-sitlgaming4182 you're correct regarding the PS5, it's a bit on the poor side, but i've mentionned the Pro version which will be released next year with astronomical performances...this one should do the trick :)
@@babacalouche X2 or X3 in some specs figures on the PS5 pro will not translate into X2 or X3 of fps. Sure it will have more performance but don't hope for "astronomical" ones like you said.
Looks great, but I feel like I'm at the stage where I'd say: "I get it. UE5 allows for very highly detailed environments, but how about we see some more dynamic stuff?" I'd like to see things interacting with these environments more. Some environmental destruction would be interesting to see. All those trees, huh? Where's the woodsman and his axe to hack them limb by limb? Heck, even a truck or ATV navigating such detailed wooded areas would be interesting. I'm pretty sure it's harder to pull off more dynamics, but what good is having all that detail and not being able to interact with it? By the way, games in the past did that, with MUCH less powerful hardware. It's high time to take it to the next level!
People need to realize realistic graphics r good and all but without the world being feel alive or the game feeling fun its not worth it, these types of graphics will get justice when theres a game like rdr 2 is made which honestly saying remove the good graphics part from rdr 2 and yet it still would be the best open world game bec of how much is thr in it and THEN good graphics comes which makes these games perfection
@@princerawat4297 Yes. I think a game like Zelda BotW/TotK is an even better example, because they are literally running on a potato powered device topping 7w for the entire system(screen and all) while playing. And yet, the way they allow the player to interact with the world is mind-boggling. So many simulated systems, all applied in a global and cohesive manner, giving the player unprecedented freedom to play the game how they choose. With today's hardware being so powerful, it's sad(shameful even) that games have taken several backward steps in this regard. Outside of some indie games, and a '2 or 3' "Tripple A" titles, there's been a gradual regression when it comes to making very dynamic worlds. It's funny how games from more than a decade ago attempted more simulation than most games today. The next GTA should help bring some balance to the equation, but it's gonna take more games.
This is the first demo I've seen that looks about the same as regular gameplay - most is amazingly detailed but you'd never see graphics that good in a real game.
fenomenal! it would be nice if there look for sounds in the future. Sometime foodstep-sound as example stairs outside (stone) listen like living room. A little sand or something dirt with a system that reconiced indoor/outdoor weahter/off for a bigger soundpack. 9:25
was this individually designed by someone? I feel like at 9:02 the way the lighting hits that building looks so terrible. Yeah, there's a lot of textures on the ground, more clutter with the leaves but I felt like whomever it was that designed this did a poor job of showing off how strong UE5 can look. I've seen so much better demos. This almost looked like 1-2 generations of UE before. I dunno if this was created by someone in their own home or something but it needs a lot of improvements on lighting. More clutter /More items =/= better.
These demos have you move at a snails pace to limit impact on draw distance, pop in and fps. Even then its challenging what i assume is top end hardware. So while it looks great, hardware has to catch up to it.
Elder Scrolls 6 + Hunt Showdown 2 with this please! But why do Gamedesigners always think that grass and bushes need to fly around like crazy? That always looks stupid and immersionbreaking.
We can make games look good but what about environmental interaction? Can I reach out and grab a leaf off of a tree? Can I bend down, scoop up some dirt and let it sift through my fingers?
I think we hit an uncanny valley, because the lack of real atmosphere makes stuff move faster then speed of sound. If we could backpropagate the maximum speed to every body with a mass (even it its an animated texture) than this would feel much more grounded.
yeah its why i said we need another crysis moment, rather than toning down games for todays specs but actually todays games are great really, visually, its just that no one present their max quality just yet, prob same reason as mine

Good, but i still prefer a much more stable engine with rock solid textures and no visible "pop ups" on the screen. Or the scenario building in the distance. Or the terrible and unrealistic moving trees and foliages. It all takes me out of this reality. Take "Doom" from 1993 for example. Its the oldest engine but still it is rock solid, no visible scenario errors. I wish these modern engines had much less details but much more stable textures and scenarios. For me its much more important.
Start of the video: Grasses and plants remain static at a certain distance, "no wind effect over half a distance"!!!! Plus there is clipping! This is normal for Unreal Engine 5. The sound effects were done to perfection. I'm sorry but things have really gotten better since then!!!!!

The developers must increase the water effects during an increased level of wind. Something like a wrinkled surface, level by level, according to the strength of the wind!!! Can't still so calm the water surface with an 8-9 bft wind, like it does on the 15:50 minute!!!
not really impressed, birds wing movement is not even close to natural, crops movement also very unnatural, some things just disappear midair... far from video being bad, but there's many mistakes in just a first few minutes, didnt even bother watching the rest
Stuff is popping up at close distance in the background. The wheat also moves to uniform

When are the developers going to realize that you don't need 10 step sounds to walk 4-5 feet? How tall is the protagonist here, 3 ft. tall?

that would be triggered from physical materials. but maybe the audio for the physical materials should be longer
