    Looks incredible as always!
    I was a bit put of by the creaking branch sound that never changed position but felt like it was hovering behind my head all the time and it makes me kind of freeze like some people don't like nails on a chalk board.
    Something missing from most forests in games are man made trails, I think they would make the engine feel even more alive.
    Looking forward to your future projects!

      Totally agree, sounds and audio need to be bound to locations. Im also wondering if a map like this can run with a real wind and cloud simulator that would ultimately be why trees and other assets would sway.

      @Jack_JRR 7 месяцев назад +11

      a basic single player project would get high 90s for most modern settings but if you start taking in account multiplayer or any complex components it will go down. All his videos show are megascans assets with sounds. also key thing to note is he has wind disabled, if you recreate this with wind you won't get over 40 due to the current shader complexity problem with wind. I have landscape roughly 64 square kilometers filled with trees and foliage at 120fps no problem but once I enable wind and get close to the trees it will drop from 80(wind enabled) to 40.

    • @jamesgtmoore
      @jamesgtmoore 7 месяцев назад +8

      @@Jack_JRR This is what I suspected. UE5 has great realism tech but its not commercially viable to use it yet when the average person has a GTX1650 or equivalent. Maybe in 10 years the average card will be an RTX 4090. e.g. 1080TI in 2017 was 700USD and now its $150 on ebay. a 4090 is 2000USD and in 10 years would be an affordable 500USD.

      Не станет. Закон Мура больше не работает. А президент Nvidia уже года три как сказал, что производительность видеокарт расти больше не будет.
      И второй момент. Чем круче графика, тем больше затраты. Топовые игры уже обходятся дороже, чем навороченный блокбастер. Ту же RDR2 делали 8,5 лет и потратили сотни миллионов долларов. У многих найдётся столько денег и времени?

    • @AndreyZhDron
      @AndreyZhDron 5 месяцев назад

       @AhnxRU Станет, помню как в далеком 2006 годом восхищался супер-реалистичной графикой и физикой Oblivion, а теперь это выглядит довольно уныло. Потому что технологии в этом плане ушли далеко вперед и продолжают развиваться. Чо видеокарты, лол? С каждой новой серией ставятся мощнее предыдущей, а то что гей-сосноли тормозят гейм индустрию, это уже давно известно. "Чем круче графика, тем больше затраты", да, но нет. Не совсем. Красивую картинку по большей части дает движок и эффекты, а не ультра hd текстуры и модели (Да можно накатить,. например на Скайрим, 8k текстуры, hi poly модели. да будет вроде круто, но все равно видно, что можно намного лучше на более современном движке при более простых текстурах и моделях). И большая часть бюджета уходит сейчас далеко не на графику. Вот как видим супер-реалистичную картинку и техно-демку сейчас даже студент при желании запилить сможет, но это далеко не будет игрой ААА-уровня. "Топовые игры уже обходятся дороже, чем навороченный блокбастер" И? Как видим как раз на такие высеры у крупных студий и находятся деньги, вот они и продолжают клепать всякий конвейерный шлак типо отсосинов и прочего графонистого дерьма.

    Wow! The visuals are stunning and so close to the real world! VERY well done! I love how the sound of the footsteps changes depending on the ground. It's cool that you added the sqeaking sound but you overdid with that. It's just when one tree, usually a dead one, is leaning against another one and then wind comes into play. At least I didn't experience that many trees producing squeaking sounds when I walked around in forests. But, again, so well done otherwise!

Out of the entire property, one tree consistently squeaked like you hear in the video, it was halfway fallen across the creek and leaning against another tree. Didn't take much wind for the trees to rub together to make it produce some crazy sounds. Never been in a forest where every other free standing tree was a squeaker. I think there's also supposed to be some audio of -sticks and seeds hitting the ground, but it just sounds like a crackling camp fire.- Watched rest of video... the remains of a forest fire shouldn't be so audible from so far away. @@kalopsia4480 i dont think so because just remember early versions of the forest it was really buggy and right now endnight really knows the unity engine.also you cant play the game with these graphics.A lot of draw calls here.But here a game like the forest currently in development stage.Made with Unreal Engine. Called: Derelicts

      Why would anyone ever play on a console?

    • @AveenFernando
      @AveenFernando 7 месяцев назад +1

      consistency g, consoles offer better consistent performance due to the fact that shaders can be compiled for the specific hardware of the consoles compared to PC hardware which is vast so compiling shaders for pc is a whole other process, thats why pc gamers get stutters from my understanding@@Diogenes77

    I have to say, it's more the camera movement / walking and the colors that are a bit too bright that gives it away - which says a lot about the quality here. In an unsuspecting moment in a short cut, I might not recognize it as Unreal.

  • @aresaurelian
    @aresaurelian 8 месяцев назад

    Well done. Still, there are mostly some things about the physics of the observer moving around that isn't right and brings us out of the suspension of disbelief. If we can fix that, there will be almost now way of distinguishing these renderings from real life.

    how would this work when you zoom in with like a sniper rifle. 6 - 16x zoom. If it generates biome with bushes / trees and all that, then we are talking about a really cool multiplayer shooter. FInally possiblity for like ghost recon and such.
