Ordered the $999.99 bundle on Thursday a month ago and received it on the following Monday. That is outstanding for Free shipping and every was there in great condition. Excellent service from Kraft, Thank you! I'm new to piano and practiced around an hour a day for the last month. I'm actually starting to sound OK and have learned a lot with the included book. The piano is excellent and the weighted key's seem heavy at first. For the small investment I made, I'm getting the results I wanted and the DGX-650 sounds good, especially when the sound is turned up. For the money, I don't know how anyone can';t be satisfied. Sounds great, keys feel great (not like a keyboard at all) and you have the Yamaha name and quality. I would buy it again and highly recommend you buy from Kraft Music.
Just ordered the DGX-650 Bundle from Kraft Music. LIked Dane's explanation of the features and since I am a beginner, I particularly liked being able to learn playing my favorite groups. We'll see how it goes.
Hello Dane, I just bought today my DGX-650B here in Saudi Arabia and I am so excited to use it...though I am a frustrated pianist and doesn't know how play piano (well, I have a little background), hope this would help me end my long-time frustration...and I still believe that it's not yet too late for me to learn how to play piano...and have this as my new hobby....wish me luck!
As an ear-playing keyboardist with over 50 years experience, I would say that playing along with existing MP3 files or audio CDs is quite helpful, especially since you can record both at the same time on this instrument. YAMAHA speakers are always great on the DGX and PSR Series keyboards, plus you can always run any digital keyboard through external amps, as well. For example, you could take the line out, run it through a small mixer, and then onto a powered amp system for a very large sound.
Hi. Owning a DGX630 for 4 years now, I use it in different ways as a solist, using the existing songs minus 1 - one example on YTube - or creating own backing tracks. I really love this instrument which is an ideal home keybord with an excellent price quality ratio. I'll acquire a DGX 650 pretty soon. Thanks for this demo ! Roel
The ultimate upgrade to this would be the ability to 'pop out' just the piano, a la the P105...also, don't downplay the usefulness of this keyboard to the pro solo player who needs to compete with the other 'one man bands' out there - this is a great way to reproduce the backing tracks on your CD...
Thank you for video. I'm looking for instrument. And the most important for me is: 1) Keyboard quality (piano type, as better, as possible); 2) Good quality of piano sound; 3) Availability of USB Audio Recorder function (it is obligatory). That's it, I don't need anything else, more sounds or styles, even built-in speakers. Maybe there's some better choice for me in category up to $1500?
Well, it depends on what you want out of your instrument. The DGX650 will give you a ton of sounds and features to use. You'll have backing tracks, rhythms, and the ability to record your own compositions. The P155 gives you a more modest selection of sounds and features, but an improved weighted key action. This "Graded Hammer Effect" more accurately simulates the feel of a real piano. Thanks for watching! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
can the yamaha DGX 650 connect with mac mountain lion. Softwares like garageband/logic pro. I looked up the driver it supports on yamaha for this but couldn't find mac mountain lion support for this version, however the previous version support it. Does this yamaha work fine for anyone that has a mac driver supporting there os system? I have a mac and want to buy this type wanna make sure it works first thanks
How does this compare to P-105? I want it for my kids to practice piano as if it was a real piano. Which one has a more realistic graded hammer action feeling and piano sound?
Nice video ! I have this piano but when I record on USB, the sound which comes out is really not loud. How do you succeed to have a great sound in this video ? Do you use a Sound processing software ?
Recording via USB is supported to MIDI or WAV format. WAV is good but I wish it was MP3!! As for connectivity options, you have both USB to host and USB to device. For techies, I have been told you can connect iPad using the USB connector to this piano and discover a world of options and use it for learning, playing music, etc., but again, I'm yet to try it out myself and don't know how well it works. There is a single headphone connector which my daughter uses to practice without disturbing anyone else. However, a cool feature is that you could activate the speakers also when connected to the headphones. Recording to Garage Band or other software using this feature is very, very useful since you can record your music along with the built in songs/styles (which we already paid for when we bought the DGX 650) and you can get MP3 (how's that for a workaround to get MP3?) !! Got it from tinyurl.com/onsale15/B00DWJ1WYY
I want to buy a digital piano on your store.im confused between the p115 and dgx650.i want to know if there is a difference in the feel of the key action between that two?is it the same?which of the two has key action that feels good?
Ok, so this has built in speakers. But does it have any main outs for recording directly into an audio interface like a Focusrite? This was not mentioned
The DGX-650 does have an additional stereo output. It's the 1/4" stereo headphone jack and it can easily be used as a line output to plug into a mixer, recording interface, or PA system. All you need is a 1/4" TRS to dual 1/4" mono splitter cable (aka "insert" cable), in fact that is how we recorded this video. Thanks for watching! -Dave
I was browsing through a local music store where I was able to test the weighted/ 88-key Casio Privia PX750. I was unfortunately surprised to find that the keys barely had any resistance like an authentic acoustic upright piano, which would not avail any student hoping to develop finger-strength. How would you compare the DGX-650's level of resistance, which is what I look for when a digits piano boasts an "authentic piano feel" w/ the weighted keys of the Casio Privia PX750?
I think the most important improvement would be the more realistic acoustic piano sound. Yamaha calls it "Pure CF sampling". Another reason to get the 650 might be the internal audio recording. With the 640 you'll need to hook it up to some other device with an audio cable (and possibly worry about electrical noise, too high signal levels causing distortion etc.). I think the "smart chord" feature discussed in the middle of the video above is also a new feature. So, 650 is newer and better.
Did anyone else quit as soon as they saw that it was a Yamaha employee (ie shill) that was going to do this? blah blah blah blah blah....spare us the sales BS about how great you're telling us it is and just show us the features.....
I have been playing for 12 years and am very experienced with reading sheet music and playing music by ear, but have never really played in a band or with someone else. I was wondering if this would help me develop the skills needed to play with or behind a singer, drummer, guitarist etc..... Finally I was wondering how is the speaker quality, does Kraft Music carry other pianos like this with better speakers or is this the best one and the one I should get when it is released.
Hey wanna ask really important question , when you record a track can you still make repeated continually and add another music style on it without stopping ?
The DGX-650 has been officially released by Yamaha, and the first shipments should be arriving shortly. We hope to have these instruments available by late August. Thanks for watching! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
I bought the pedal unit and installed it but no matter what I do it's very flimsy every time I press it down the entire unit moves down along with my foot.

(It is difficult to express difficult speeches in another language - I try) Adam Berzowsky, while he speaks he seems to have his mouth and chin moving to the left .. with empathy I can understand that this derives from the past, and from not having had security while speaking. He would have preferred not to be heard .. This is at the same time an index of humility and spiritual elevation. Is not music to define a state of immaterial elevation?

Correct, it's a common Danish surname and in Danish, the "d" is silent. However, the surname do also appear in Norway and Sweden, although not as common. Swedes would pronounce with the "d", like he does in the video. Very much like they pronounce their surname "Mattson", which is the Swedish equivalent.

Privia px750 has a heavier feel to it than dgx650 (I have tried action of a dgx-640). I guess gdx 650 is yamaha's answer to privia 350.
