    In1970 s I used to ride on a wooden sled towed benind bailer stack them so high an pull lever an they used to drop them in a neat little stack

    nostalgia at its best ---- i didnt realise just how many different machines featured that i had owned during those years for my contracting and farming work---- but without a doubt the highlight was the vicon lely cube 8 bale stacker ---- i dont remember anyone else in our area having one and this is the only film of it in action i have ever found ---- the machine worked very well but as with all complicated machines it was only as good as the operator using it ---- the best part and the most difficult part of using it was on the road ---- from the front of the JD2340 i had to the rear of the stacker was over 60 feet in length --- quite a challenge when going down narrow country lanes

    We had a Taylor 17/21 bale transporter,we had to build them by hand into 17s, and a lister chain with spikes elevator,we used to make 10,000 bales
