- We've had a tricky few weeks in our etsy shop and today I take you behind a week in the life of running our full time etsy business!

Haha alot of the time she catches me off guard and then doesn’t give me time to answer haha but she is normally just thinking out loud 😂
I think that’s honestly why I chose silhouette over cricket because of all of the horror stories I hear from people I follow on RUclips or Instagram, or on TikTok. Silhouette gives you more space on the page and I can work offline and I only need to be synced with the machine that I’m working with.
I agree- at first i tried the cricket and i couldnt get it to cut correctly or align for the life of me. I even spent multiple sessions online with the cricket support to help fix the issue, but in the end i returned it and went with a silhouette portrait. Not gonna lie- i was a bit bummed out because the crickets are so much prettier to look at, but at the end of the day i needed something that i could rely on. 🫤

Our art styles and love for pastels are so similar, but it’s so encouraging for me to have someone like you to look up to that has that same vibe and aesthetic. I’ve only stayed in the product design industry but I’ve dreamed of using my creativity to create my own shop. Many even large businesses do a pre sale for items with promise to deliver after item is made. I got lune book in fall and it’s coming in February sometimes
Thanks for the boost of motivation Katherine! I came home a few hours ago now from volunteering work and honestly I ended up napping until tea time I was so tired. Now after watching this however I'm more motivated to get some things done. Maybe not big things but things that are on my to-do list anyway. Loved the video as always! :)
I love how perfect those boxes are! I need to find a supplier that can make similar boxes. The one I use has a minimum of 1.5" tall so they can't be as flat as yours. Also, they use a thicker cardboard. The sticker packs are also very cute! Your videos are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing!

Omg thank you SO much for showing the quick release. That is a total game changer for me!!
You should look into actual commercial grade vinyl cutters. They are 60% quicker than cricut and can do whole rolls anywhere from 12” up to 54” of vinyl. I was like that too when I first started until I realized there’s a better and faster way ❤️
Hey Catherine! I was curious if you've put any thought into one day designing and selling larger desk mats that can go under your keyboard and mouse, say 36x12~ . I'm always trying to find new ones to spice up my desk area and I absolutely love everything you design! ♥

You are always such a mood. I keep putting off making my die cut stickers too. I also ran into that cricut issue and had to reinstall all I wanted was more envelope seal stickers and it took ages. I will have to try printing it different settings everything comes out so dull thanks for the tip!

i dont know if someone else has mentioned this before but if ur wanting to make more bee's or whatever try doing a kick starter. i've seen artist use that and give incentives for every time they reach their goal.
You should consider designing a colouring book 👀
Have you.tried a brother scan and cut? Just print your image on sticker paper, than put it through the.machine, set your bleed and cut depth and the.machine will scan it and kiss cut your images.

I once accidentally ordered 1 of a sticker instead of 100. The 3 I recieved (the company always sends a few extra) sold outsuper fast. I just called them 'super limited' and learned fomr my mistake! 😅

Amazon has a LOT of different kinds of twinkling lights. That’s where I bought mine and my Daughter’s.😊

Have you thought about taking pre-orders for more expensive items. So people click a pre-order knowing they have to wait a little while and pay a deposit. That way when you have a big enough order you can get some stock in. Maybe an incentive like 5% off pre-orders. But make sure that people know that deposits are not refundable. If I was buying for a Birthday or something I would be happy to do something like that if you think ahead with presents.
Bonjour. What paper do you use for Stickers Please, and are they waterproof ? My Epson L1800 can't print on Vinyl any advice to print waterproof stickers without laminating them ? love the energy your videos give off
Would you mind sharing how you make your stickers from coloring to printing to cutting? I am having a really big issue with trying to get my colors to come out the way that I want them to. If you dont no biggie I still love ya!!! You are the best!!!
it helps to make sure your project is set to CMYK color mode before printing! I also think katnipp has a video from a few years ago walking everyone through her process from formatting to importing to printing to cutting!
I've never had issues like that with design space
@Katnipp hey! have you tried running design space as admin? I know this is a thing, I can do on a PC when a program is acting up not sure if Apple allows that.
A lot of gamers on YT use a preorder sort of system to guarantee that there will be enough buyers for plush orders before manufacturing even begins.
What kind of sticker paper do you use?
You should look into a Momo cutter from China. They make professional cutters that are reliable, accurate and you can get so much more out of your sheet. They have a camera sensor which makes it so much more accurate. I just made the jump and I love my machine. I have had a cricut and a silhouette and found they were never accurate enough for the quality I wanted.

Random question, but do you still like the ecotank printers? I’m needing a new printer for stickers, cardstock and general printing so I’m seriously considering an ecotank
dean replied to a comment on here recommending an ecotank so it seems they still enjoy it
I highly recommend the eco tank range, our printers are heavily used and I only top up the inks every 4 - 5 months we use the 7750 eco tank :)
I hate when I mis-order things like that! 🤦♀️ How do you handle recouping the cost then? (If you don’t mind sharing.) I’m always so torn I don’t want to raise prices for a time, but I also can’t usually eat it either. You’d probably lose money even selling the stickers if they barely cost less than what you charge and you still have to pay Etsy fees and shipping.
Are you able to ship to the US i heard that there was a shipping delay
Hiya it’s Dean, the shipping is back to normal for International orders there’s still a bit of a delay due to back logs but you can order to USA ❤
do u have to use Royal Mail?
royal mail is the cheapest :/ shes said that her recent switch to another service is costing her alot of money
The majority of our orders are large letters and other couriers cost a lot more to send and we really want to keep the cost down for our customers, we are going to add another option for you to choose from i.e DHL or DPD very soon :)
I can't remember the proper name but another stationery company, Marth Brook London did an amazing campaign to allow members to purchase stock (money doesn't exchange) but it gives your company a way to grow- the only downside was I am stateside so I couldn't invest but I was all in and had my money saved for investing 💕 I really want a teacup squishy 💞💞
Please get your website up and running so I can order from you. Etsy has for no reason, permanently suspended my shop and I can't even buy off Etsy so I can't support you. 😭
