In Augmented, you must raise the 3rd or 5th, or both. But you can not raise the root, correct? In dim, you can only lower the 5th. If you lower the third, it must be done with the 5th because if you don't, it's simply a minor, right??

Awesome tutorial! These three chords will take my arranging and playing to the next level. I have always been especially fascinated with diminished chords and you've taken the mystery out of how to easily build them and use them in playing. And the other two chords as well create that pro-level sound. Thank you very much for demystifying all three!
Hopefully at some point I can do a follow up getting a bit more in depth with how to use them, I just mentioned a few things briefly here to keep focused on the sound really but glad it helped!
