@@fj8264 I think it was more Jan Pommer the president from the BBL, who give the germans are chance to make basketball a buissness right now a BBL team has to had 6 germans on the roster ... Before he was in place, we had 7 germans who played more then 20 min in a week. Also he make it mandatory that BBL teams have professional youth couches, and invest a certain amount of there budget to the youth program. Before that many academys had volunteers as trainer. Also he founded the youth BBL and made it amndatory to participate there, which gives the player a much higher level of competion to grow. That started around 2010 probadly a bit earlier. It helped to get Dennis Schröder and Daniel Theis to get play time at the top level pretty early (luckily Braunschweig had a pretty good youth program with Liviu Calin already but he was also more responsible for the young adults in the second team but had an eye on these 2), and gives the younger players a much better enviroement to develop.

All European final while North American Basketball Top Nations USA plays Canada only for bronze medal!Germany woman Basketball team beat EC champs Belgium and world cup second place Japan ! Only lost to USA Womans Basketball Team but were already qualified for the quaterfinals at the Olympics, just like team USA ! These boys are sensationell being U18 Champs for the first time! You deserve it my German Team! Hats off to you ! Good that young Germans are progressing in such an astonishing way ! I see the next Germans in the NBA ! Great future hopefully for Germanys National Basketball teams ! 😊
