if you dont know yet, the original manga version of the story of Owner Zeff is a lot more disturbing. in the manga he didnt lose his leg in the water saving sanji. everything plays out exactly the same but after they got stranded on the rock, he then severed his own leg using a rock so he got something to eat and survive while giving all the food to sanji
And with this-the show will begin to ramp up since we’re technically done with the “worst” seasons of one piece (“worst” being used lightly since even the beginning seasons are still entertaining).
