    Very powerful video. The gaslighting is so pervasive it brings to mind the quote by Malcom X “If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

    I have had zero time for the Mainstream Media for approximately 35 years, I can’t stand the BS and it drives me nuts to watch other people gobble it up.
    To say the least, life has been a difficult journey while trying to talk to the general public about the reality behind the propagandized narratives but on the upside, I keep trying to do the right thing in life and that gives me promise for myself and hope for others.
    Thanks BettBeat

    As the late great George Carlin said in his comedy act : " My first rule: I don't believe anything the government tells me. Nothing. Zero."
    Thanks for having on Dr. Rad. I always learn something new from her.

    Kevork Almassian has taught us that Al Jazeera is a very effective psy-op. Qatari funded and to promote western agenda by gaining support and credibility by showing brilliant work concerning Gaza and then turning the Lebanese and regional supporters against their own cause. Same with Middle Eastern Eye. He can explain it perfectly if you interview him or watch SyrianaAnalysis. I fell for it too for a long time as did he. Just wanted to say that bc it's important to un-propagandize everyone. Love the show BTW

    I'll add two things to this important conversation: 1. Here in Canada, the legacy media just regurgitate AP stories, which makes it difficult to hold the media here to account. The editors at CBC or the Toronto Star can just wash their hands. 2. For my M.Ed. thesis I analyzed the images in the mass market ESL texts. Just the images. These are UK/US texts that are the children of the British Council. The framing, the positioning of women in those texts was highly revealing.

      AP and Reuters are UK poison. And then you have AFP and France 24 spreading the same crap to the francophone Canadians.

    We are making a mistake calling it a Healthcare system in the U.S.. It's really an illness for profit system where every aspect of it is based on a business model.
    Provisioning necessities to a society's citizens requires no profit seeking, and certainly no profit provisioning to the sociopaths that will collude with corrupt government employees to extort those profits.
    The fact that congress creates the U.S. currency and determines where it is spent into existence (no taxation prior to creation required) tells us that congress has entered into a RICO extortion racket with the insurance industry. Read The Deficit Myth by Stephanie Kelton for more details on the currency creation part. Profit seeking is not required in the provisioning process of necessities. The creation of private sector gatekeepers for necessities is sociopathy that leads to varying percentages of social murder.

      Good point. The creepiest thing about US healthcare is that patients are referred to as "clients" and doctors are "providers."

    Brilliantly articulated and absolutely correct. But how on Earth do I discuss this with my fellow British? I can’t imagine how to begin to open their mind to any of this.

    i think Karim meant the exceptionnal european violence = systemic/structured violence, that is the violence that is unique to the west

    • @RalfBernhard-g1c
      @RalfBernhard-g1c Месяц назад +2

      Yes, Huntington said something to the effect that the USA/collective West have specialized "organized violence" for centuries, state sponsored, and that then leads to opposition in various forms.

      It's dangerous to talk about europeans this way, it sounds like there is something genetic to westernrs regarding propensity to violence / expansionism, whereas most people have been tricked and manipulated into wars by their elites. The elites can create fear and nationalism and hate of the other in any country., not just western countries.

    • @BettBeat_Media
      @BettBeat_Media  Месяц назад +4

      Then you really did not listen. As a social psychologist I have argued for many years against genetic differences predicting human behavior. I clearly said that Europe's unique ecology evolved cultures (cultural evolution, NOT genetic evolution) that are exceptionally violent. Western capitalism, individualism, competitiveness are all expressions of such cultures and these cultural symptoms shape groups of human beings that are uniquely violent. Other groups focus more strongly on collectivism, communalism, social harmony and family bonds. That is not in their genes, that is due to the cultures they internalize. If you'd known me for a bit, you'd know I am one of the fiercest opponents of genetic determinism.
