Since the console that was programmed for doesn't include a wheel, it was programmed to be played with a controller. try the unassisted option within the "Handling Tuning" option, turn the drift entry off so handbrake would be the default for drift entry then you may be able to fix steering sensitivity within there also
@@KrisBarton432 there's an option if you pause the game, "Handling Tuning" then you turn off the "Drift entry" setting so you'll be able just use the handbrake to drift.
@@wildwolf637 Thank you! Unfortunately the ebrake does not map to my Fanatec ebrake. Maybe they will make an update to allow button remapping. That would fix most everything. The game is awesome, I just want to be able to use my wheel setup and have full functionality.
@@KrisBarton432 In NFS 2015 and Heat I was able to map my USB handbrake using Joy2Key, but NFS unbound I cant because it makes the camera flip around for some stupid reason, like the game is treating it as a verticle axis for the camera and forcing you to look backwards, and there is no way to make it stop. fking annoying.
As a guy who’s played NFS since the year 2000 ive played every one since porsche unleashed an honestly prostreet was the last one i enjoyed…once undercover came out all the way till now with unbound ive been pretty unsatisfied and not for lack of environment, this is strictly a driving/handling/lack of control of the car thing. Ive played more NFS then the average person an tbh if the cars drove like early 2000s with how looks now i bet the game would be more enjoyable… sad aint it 2003-2004 handling is more desirable then todays…an it wasnt the best but car actually turned when you turned, it had a legit turning radius, you didnt need to drift everything even cars that dont drift just to be fast or get spray etc…to point out that a game is marginally better then heat 3 years later while also almost being a direct copy its not an improvement, they now got lazy and spoon feed us shit instead of listening to who plays they game they made it for kids and not their original audience. I can't believe it was easier to get my G29 working on Prostreet last week, with a additional handling mod on PC, to work and feel more natural than a NFS game in 2022 that's trying to add better physics and driving feel.....

You have to switch from auto to manual in your setting. Thrustmaster TH8A shifter works in H pattern but no clutch. Use 360 or 520 wheel rotation for best results at the moment.
@@sacjohnson1 honestly, I've only played about 3 hours thus far, had to work last night and I'm at work right now 😅 i have the next two days off to grind. Heat only offered sequential shifting with Thrustmaster but now they've added H pattern support like they had in Payback. Muscle memory and repetition and you could be competitive but not set works records..... Unfortunately it will need an update cause going from 7th back down to 6th doesn't register, i have to shut from 7th to 5th😅 all good though, it'll be patched soon. The last few titles at launch didn't have wheel support at launch so the fact that this does I'm super happy, it'll get better.

I remember the bad taste in my mouth from a lack of wheel support for NFS Heat until MONTHS after it was released--and even then it was tethered to Logitech's software even if you had a non-Logitech wheel. Nice to know that nothing has changed with EA's lackluster support for wheels with UNBOUND. Will definitely wait until the game is discounted on Steam and all the bug fixes/missing features are in.

I have hundreds of hours in racing games using my wheel, mainly Horizon 4, nothing has ever felt this "Stiff" anyone has tips please reply this, my deadzone is on 0% and i feelt like I have to barrel role my wheel in a direction to turn at more than 40mph.

thanks for making this. i thought there was no wheel support for ps5 but seeing you do this made me give it another try. the steering with the G29 is (for just city driving. not tested racing) just about Magical the way it handles. I LOVE just driving around normally and like a maniac around the city. whatever they did to tune it from Heat to this game is like a miracle. Take a bow whoever was in charge (for me). they should include more wheel support though cause obviously it doesn't work for everbody. i guess i got lucky i'm the type who doesn't just want to race all day. sometimes you just want to chill and drive with one hand and have the car behave like a real car would in that situation.

Idk why people complain about the 2D effects so much. It's an arcade racer that's all about style and looking cool and they're doing something new and different to spice up the series. Imo the effects are really cool and add flair to ehat otherwise would have been just more of the same
Some people have different preference, i don´t understand what is so difficult about that. Crew 2 is not forcing me into using the vanity and i can easily have fun without it. I wanna have more options and setting tweaks from a game that costs like 70 bucks. Games in the past offered more freedom with settings and tweaks. There should be option for the players, who don´t wanna see or use the effects and i seriously don´t get how they can´t do such a simple thing with their budget.
Not a fan of all that Vanity stuff but if there is an off switch for my Car's effects then I am cool with others enjoying there pink smoke and fancy wings while jumping and stuff. More options for everybody is always a good thing unless they force stuff on people then I get people being angry.

Companies do it on purpose, look at all the games that came out past 2 years. I think there is a term called minimal variable game, where they create a game with as little content as possible, while following the rules to not get sued and call it a live service game with a fake promise that they will keep adding content in the future and we consumers get shafted in the process by getting unpolished and unfinished games

I waited for the release of this game just to watch your letsplays like i always did with all NFS games :) Its just me or this map looks like the one from Heat? Almost the same. I haven't seen any other videos so i hope a map and races are more interesting and cops are dangerous, but about story sadly i dont think there will be much to it, just racing.
This game was such a huge letdown for me on the wheel. Definitely plays better with a controller. Hoping they come out with an update to adjust settings on the wheel.
From NFS payback the "wheel" support was already gone, haven't tried NFS 2015, but I think it's for the best I don't 😅 "SO MANY F'ING VISUAL EFFECTS I CANT SEE SH*T!"

Don't Wheels have there own software like controllers do? My new 8bitdo Controller has its own remap program that would atleast help with the button problem ffb and stuff is a whole different issue. I don't really get how a Racing Game can't have atleast basic Wheel functionality I mean its not like Wheel people are asking them to support every Wheel in existance since their inception but they can't even get the basics done for the modern wheels its sad.

steering wheel for games are somewhat of a luxury to have in a general, besides that nfs has always been more keyboard and gamepad focused, mainly the last one, but they really need to start or even have thought of giving steering wheel a better support and not just the ability to use it, maybe explain before release how it can be used correctly if they did and just threw the game for the users to fuck around and find out

Thanks for making this slap! Helped me solidify why I won’t buy it. Was on the fence but the cartoon people with the complete opposite car model and environment design was a turn off, then the addition of what seems to be forcin to use control with very limited wheel support was the icing on the cake. Really feel like a bunch of 60 year old men who think their “cool” with the voice strips just killed it for me. Just disappointing to a great franchise.
So, there are 2 nitrous. One is normal one and the new one is Burst. You can access them with action like drift, slipstreaming, and near miss to refill. But it has time limit or it’s gone.
It’s been like that since the last nfs they never had shifter or handbrake availability that’s why I didn’t use my setup with nfs and I’m sticking to forza

steering users realizes that not all games are made for luxuries like steering wheel controllers, specially nfs anyways hopefully over time steering wheel support gets better afaik clutch has never been a thing in nfs, maybe in prostreet and the shift series

The game looks good but, I feel like they just threw random cars in the game. Need for speed underground had a dodge neon and honda civic as the start cars. It felt more like actual street racing. I really would like to see you run from the police with the wheel lol.

The wheel is mids in this game kinda like heat. You get better steering from the controller. Played it for a hour on the wheel and couldn't really keep up went to controller and became a God lol

I should've watched this before I bought the game. I was so confused when I went to options to mess with the settings. It sucks the amount of boost I need to use in the game, but I can't remap the button for it on my T150. so sad.
PS5 version has the same settings! Lowering the “Steering 22 %” and it’s more responsive You also need to change your car setup to more drift than handling, change tires etc!
After all these years and still no cockpit view.........man need for speed has been going downhill.....haven't played a need for speed game since most wanted 2012.

Outside of exceptions like Undercover, Nitro, and Shift, NFS has usually been closer to the simcade spectrum so that argument never made sense to me.

@@iabaca I would say, that people who are pre ordering games without any proper gameplay footage, are the reason why game industry is going into crap. Yeah, i didn´t played Unbound, cause i don´t like the gameplay footage, it looks to me like Heat 2.0. But still, i think i can form my opinion.
70 bucks for a game, that won´t even let you bind controller buttons is absolute madness. 70 bucks for a game, that does not have decent soundtrack, but only autotuned mumble rap is big no for me, older racing games provided much more vibrant soundtrack (Burnout: takedown, flatout 2). I just don´t see anything that should be worthy of 70 bucks dude.
I am an example of someone, who is not aimlessly buying things at day one, forming my own opinions and stuff. Everyone who is buying and supporting games with pre order are the one to blame. Why companies should make an proper product, when people will buy it anyway?

Idk why people complain about the 2D effects so much. It's an arcade racer that's all about style and looking cool and they're doing something new and different to spice up the series. Imo the effects are really cool and add flair to ehat otherwise would have been just more of the same
Some people have different preference, i don´t understand what is so difficult about that. Crew 2 is not forcing me into using the vanity and i can easily have fun without it. I wanna have more options and setting tweaks from a game that costs like 70 bucks. Games in the past offered more freedom with settings and tweaks. There should be option for the players, who don´t wanna see or use the effects and i seriously don´t get how they can´t do such a simple thing with their budget.
Not a fan of all that Vanity stuff but if there is an off switch for my Car's effects then I am cool with others enjoying there pink smoke and fancy wings while jumping and stuff.
More options for everybody is always a good thing unless they force stuff on people then I get people being angry.

Companies do it on purpose, look at all the games that came out past 2 years. I think there is a term called minimal variable game, where they create a game with as little content as possible, while following the rules to not get sued and call it a live service game with a fake promise that they will keep adding content in the future and we consumers get shafted in the process by getting unpolished and unfinished games

I waited for the release of this game just to watch your letsplays like i always did with all NFS games :) Its just me or this map looks like the one from Heat? Almost the same. I haven't seen any other videos so i hope a map and races are more interesting and cops are dangerous, but about story sadly i dont think there will be much to it, just racing.
This game was such a huge letdown for me on the wheel. Definitely plays better with a controller. Hoping they come out with an update to adjust settings on the wheel.

That seems to be the problem with NFS nowadays, most of them are just not too steering wheel friendly, I have the HORI one for PS4 and I can't use the map with the wheel, that sucks

My new 8bitdo Controller has its own remap program that would atleast help with the button problem ffb and stuff is a whole different issue.
I don't really get how a Racing Game can't have atleast basic Wheel functionality I mean its not like Wheel people are asking them to support every Wheel in existance since their inception but they can't even get the basics done for the modern wheels its sad.

steering wheel for games are somewhat of a luxury to have in a general, besides that nfs has always been more keyboard and gamepad focused, mainly the last one, but they really need to start or even have thought of giving steering wheel a better support and not just the ability to use it, maybe explain before release how it can be used correctly if they did and just threw the game for the users to fuck around and find out

Thanks for making this slap! Helped me solidify why I won’t buy it. Was on the fence but the cartoon people with the complete opposite car model and environment design was a turn off, then the addition of what seems to be forcin to use control with very limited wheel support was the icing on the cake. Really feel like a bunch of 60 year old men who think their “cool” with the voice strips just killed it for me. Just disappointing to a great franchise.

So, there are 2 nitrous. One is normal one and the new one is Burst. You can access them with action like drift, slipstreaming, and near miss to refill. But it has time limit or it’s gone.

The game looks good but, I feel like they just threw random cars in the game. Need for speed underground had a dodge neon and honda civic as the start cars. It felt more like actual street racing. I really would like to see you run from the police with the wheel lol.

The wheel is mids in this game kinda like heat. You get better steering from the controller. Played it for a hour on the wheel and couldn't really keep up went to controller and became a God lol

heat was terrible with wheel, FF randomly turning on and off on bumps, handling weird af, had to tune my wheel software, not much going on in in-game settings. I got the game because there was wheel support promised and felt fcking scammed

I just didn't like that once again it didn't have an internal camera, it's needed, the last NFS with an internal camera was a long time ago! And I didn't like the cartoon style in the races, smoke, effects etc, otherwise it's ok!
