oh my gosh. Im an alto and i dont know if i can even hit these higher notes. I cant even read music, deaf in my right ear, and have never been in choir before until now. I'm in the choir at my college and basically have no idea what im doing...oh well.
+Kitty Soell I am a tenor and it seems everyone is worried about hitting the high notes regardless of whether they're a soprano, alto or contralto. You have the high notes, trust me. You have to have the tools to get you where you have to go to, musically. I mean, in order to hit those high notes, it takes more breath so you must be prepared with the breath to do it. You have to be warmed up. You have to open up the throat like when you are yawning when you sing in your head voice. Do not be afraid to screw up, it is inevitable. Best of luck and I do recommend voice lessons or at the very least your choir director's input.
I'm alto too and believe me, you can reach high notes with enough practice and a good tecnique :3 but the most important part is: don't fear them! they're just notes any woman can sing :>
Thanks so much, this helped a lot. It's hard to learn music when you can't read it but have to know it before the next rehearsal lol.
Really admire. Hope reaching your level on the next 10 years😂
Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing that -- very helpful!
